Oh, this is going to be the easiest one yet. There are only a handful of games I'd nominate for this.

  • Tetrisphere
  • Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
  • Paper Mario
  • Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon
  • Pokémon Snap

There were only two games I had to force myself to cut. Fairly low number, all things considered.

EDIT: Replaced a well-loved game with an underrated gem. I figure this phase is the ideal place to raise awareness.

Wait... So does that mean that Final Fantasy 7 is now the best game for Switch? (I'd be down for putting that on my eventual Switch list!)

 

I get the feeling that this final list isn't going to be all that varied, but hopefully my nominations will shake things up a bit...

I'm really stuck between SM64 and Star Fox 64 though!  Both will likely make it onto the nominations list though, so I suppose it's a wash really :p

If you were considering nominating Animal Crossing for the GameCube section, you might want to think twice. It counts as an N64 game.

Once again, some excellent nominations. :D

Nothing feels like it's missing from the nominations, at least not given the cuts we'll have to make when it comes to the final choices. :hmm:

I thought about this one for a while, if I could have nominated more than I would have but there can be only five selections so without further ado...

Would nominate Mario 64, but I played the DS version and that had an extra 30 stars added to it and a significant change up in structure that I think that counts as it's own game rather than the version that came out on the N64, so with that in mind here are my nominations. I haven't really played many N64 games though so I don't think I will be able to fulfill the 5 game criteria but I will try

 

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Star Fox 64 (I played the 3DS version but apart from a significant graphical update and updated sountrack the game hasn't really changed that much so I will nominate this game in the N64 section)

Donkey Kong 64

Mario Kart 64 (I never actually owned it but played it once at a friend's house and I need a 5th game so here it is...)

It's almost impossible for me to narrow down my nominations to just 5 games for N64 as there's just too many games that I love for the greatest console ever made :peace:

I'm having a bit of a struggle between my head and my heart due to certain games I feel maybe hold up better or I discovered after the N64 era versus the nostalgia of games I have nothing but fond memories of.. but here we go!

- Super Mario 64

- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

- Goldeneye 007

- Banjo Kazooie

- Mario Kart 64
