Right, the 'NINTENDO confirm new console for E3' doesn't cut it for me.

 

Only 3 weeks 'till E3 and we haven't got a proper 'speculation/hopes/jizz' thread yet:nono:

 

So, here's what WE are going to do:

- post your hopes, your dreams, your swimmingpool creaming desires regarding the whole of NINTENDO's E3 (so not just their press conference, though it wouldn't be a crime if you did:laughing:)

- I'll update the original post regularly with these hopes, along with the nicknames who uttered them. That way, we know who to laugh at afterwards. (looking at you /nando/)

I'll start with some of my own.

This would make me flood the house.

What would actually impress me (and I originally thought that they would do this with the Wii) would be if Cafe was a console portable hybrid that worked with the 3DS, possibly closely. Make your data, config, store profile all portable to take to your friends and put into their base station or whatever.

 

Like, make the 3DS a second controller for some games.

That's it really. Keep things low key on expectations and I'm liable to not be disappointed.

 

First one will most likely be announced in some respect (I firmly believe that The Last Story will get a release in both the US and Europe and Xenoblade will get a release in the US). Wouldn't be surprised to see the second one happen, although it may simply be Wave Race rather than a specific character which is a shame. F Zero would be great but I don't see it happening or touching GX if it does. Slowly beginning to see the fourth item (and Nintendo really should push for something from Miziguchi/Q Entertainment because the likes of Child of Eden on the 3DS or even the new console would be a great way to show off the visual capabilities). And similarly, beginning to see steps in the right direction for the online.

I think a blurred line should be drawn between downloadable games and Retail games.

 

I think retail titles are TOO expensive and in most cases too long.. Downloadable games are doing thing the right way but are sometimes too short..

 

I buy a few FPS shooters myself with NO interest in on-line play. Not to mention that most gamers never finish their games fully. There's always a pile on the shelf under unfinished. I would like companies to start investigating properly into how to implement this into retail titles. Otherwise... Retail will die and I don't want that to happen. My opinion.

I think we shall hear a splendid speech about how well the 3DS has done compared to any other system and we shall hear about new games for the 3DS and Café but there will be almost no games for the Wii. The Wii games are handled in a video approximately 4.15 minutes long. The rest of the show is an introduction to the Café, hopefully it gets a better name, and not nearly everything will be revealed about it.

Does anyone else hope that they tell us only the most important info about Cafe and then spend the rest of the time on the 3DS? They could talk about Cafe more later in the year but now is definitely the time for the 3DS.

- A pants-jizzing reason for me to jump of the fence and 'GET' a 3DS when this Cafè is basically just around the decade

Ooh, throw in Rainbow 6 LV 3, NARUTO UNS3, and TEKKEN (third party support?) for Cafè and I'd be officially set for a whole gen life span worth!!
