  1. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet

I bought Violet and it arrived this morning. I booked the day off work to get a few hours in whilst the kids were at nursery. i’m enjoying the open world element of the game. I’ve wanted Pokemon to be open world for years - probably in my head since the gameboy days. Only about 3 hrs in and enjoying the wide variety of pokemon at the beginning - some decent ones too! i’m never one to complain about performance issues (I really don’t see the difference between frame rates etc) but this is so awful. Absolutely dreadful.
  2. Sonic Origins (23rd June)

Does anyone know if there are any differences in terms of performance and visuals between Switch and PS5 versions? I can’t decide which to buy it for.
  3. I do miss the box art of the old games but thats not the worse of it. I don’t mind the graphics of the game as much. Yes, they’re not the improvement I was hoping or even expecting but it will do. i just hope the game adopts the modern mechanics. To be honest, i’m looking forward to giving it a go. I dropped Pokemon during the DS era so never played the original.
  4. Monster Hunter Rise

Me! I’m able to game now?
  5. Monster Hunter Rise

I’m up for some hunting. I’m also at 1 star.
  6. Monster Hunter Rise

My copy has arrived today! Looking like the earliest I can be online is probably Sunday evening though!
  7. Monster Hunter Rise

Happy to do whatsapp or whatever. How are we voice chatting?
  8. Monster Hunter Rise

Long time no see everyone! I caved too and have ended up buying it! Hoping for some co-op action!
  9. Astro's Playroom (PS5)

Grabbed the Platinum on this the other day. I really enjoyed the game. Never felt nostalgic towards the playstation brand before but this game did stir it all up. Shows the capabilities of the Dualsense really well. I hope developers do utilise it.
  10. Demon's Souls (12th November 2020)

I was tempted to buy this game at launch but decided against it for now. I’m unsure if I like the genre and paying £70 is a steep price to pay.
  11. Playstation 5 Console Discussion

I preordered my PS5 months ago from Shopto and it arrived on release. I have so many PS4 games in the backlog (with more to get), that I didn’t particularly need to go next-gen. Except, I did, as my OG PS4 sounds like a jet engine. Playing FFVII Remake on that thing was just off putting. I haven’t bought Last of Us II or Ghosts for that reason. So I bought the PS5 to really knuckle down on some PS4 games. I did buy Miles Morales and playing through Spider-Man Remastered at the moment. Also bought Planet Coaster. Loved Theme Park as a kid. I’m enjoying Astro Bot and actually didn’t appreciate PlayStation history and it’s legacy compared to Nintendo’s. the controller is great and the game really shows it’s capabilities
  12. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

It’s been a while since I visited the forum but wanted to check in and just say (before the generation ends) that there are three stand out moments for me on PS4: 1. Witcher 3: everything about this game. 2. FFVII Remake: it is exactly what I wanted it to be. I’m hoping for some PS5 upgrade 3. Destiny. I absolutely loved this game when it was released. It was fantastic gaming with you all and I had so many fun and laugh out loud moments. I remember one particular late night/early morning session beating the final boss. Buzzing.
  13. Football Season 2019-20

I'm still absolutely fuming. Their keeper was hugging the god damn ball against the post. Cheating t*** Apparently 7 Hawkeye cameras couldn't pick the goal up but I saw it clearly on my TV. Yeah, okay then. What a joke.
  14. Monster Hunter World (PS4)

I've not touched the PS4 version for months. I played the Wii U version for ages and loved it. I don't know why I didn't stick with it for longer as its a great game.
  15. Final Fantasy VII Remake

I finally finished the game last night. It absolutely blew me away. I have played the original more than enough times to know what happens. This is a completely worthy remake and I enjoyed every second of it. It has kept most of the original material to arise the nostalgia but there is so much new content to justify it being a reimagining of the story in its own right. Lots of discussion has been said about what happens, how it is only the first part and how the developer's intentions were not conveyed enough to make clear that the game was not a 1:1 remake (like for example Links Awakening) but that does not bother me. I did not follow development of the game at all (to avoid any kind of spoilers). I enjoyed that it is different but the same FFVII we know and love. Cannot wait for Part II. I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.
  16. Absolutely gutted I missed this. I totally forgot that they close at 10pm and i've only seen this message. Last day tomorrow...
  17. My prices have been around the 50/60 mark ALL week. Is anyone selling at a decent rate? If so, could I visit?
  18. Final Fantasy VII Remake

I've read some reviews...apparently it is a negative that the game is different to the original. I think this is a great thing! I'm really enjoying it and loving the fact the overall it is the same story but at the same time being a completely different game. In my view, this means a remake is completely worth it. The original will always exist and will remain the fantastic game it is in its own right. Because, the remake is so different, both it and the original can exist comfortably side-by-side. The game is a retelling of the story rather than just the same game with a few little extra with nice graphics.
  19. Final Fantasy VII Remake

Received my copy from Shopto! I was playing through Xenoblade Chronicles 2 but will shelve it temporarily (loving it though). I remember first completing FFVII in the late 90s on my brothers PS1 and wishing that a remake would be carried out before remakes and remasters became a thing with videogames. FFVII is up there as one of my favourite games and my first RPG. It's a bit surreal playing its remake. I've not yet started it. Took ages to install but now just spent the last 10 mins listening to the title screen. The nostalgia!
  20. @Cube to be on furlough is not a right for employees to exercise but rather an option for an employer to pursue in order to avoid redundancies. Therefore, the employer could commence the redundancy process should it wish to do so. This is despite, the availability of the government scheme. However, those who have over 2 years service with their employer currently have the right to bring a claim for unfair dismissal. Should she be made redundant rather than furloughed then there is an argument that the dismissal would be unfair.
  21. Some of you may know that I am a qualified lawyer specialising in employment law. Happy to help with any covid-19 related employment queries as best I can.
  22. No law for them to put staff on furlough and likewise staff can say no. However, the risk is that if staff decline then they will probably be made redundant
  23. Staff on PAYE will be eligible. So yes, small businesses are eligible. The process is called "furlough", a new term, borrowed from the US. It is a form of temporary lay off whereby the state will pay or contribute to the wages of it's citizens. In our case that is up to 80% of wages subject to a cap of £2500. You will not be at work or carrying out any work whilst on furlough. It is also subject to your agreement (you do not have to agree to it) but you do not have the right to furlough. You will be contracted to receive your full wage but your employer, if they decide to furlough you may ask you to take a 20% pay cut i.e say they cannot top up the government's 80%. If you do not accept this then the risk is that your employer may begin the redundancy process.
  24. Pokémon Trading

Thanks @Ike. I really appreciate that!
  25. Pokémon Trading
