arab_freak Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) Yeah was going to say, it's really not obvious at all. :p I didn't even notice the Sean Connery thing was supposed to be talking about that until Cube mentioned it. Anyway, I bought extra copies of Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider for $14. You can find more deals here including a 66% slash on Rayman Legends, currently selling for $14. http://store.steampowered.com/sale/baftapromo?snr=1_41_4__42 You can also grab Crysis and Dead Space 2 for $6.79 each--assuming your prices match my store's region. There is just over an hour left but yeah, Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite are on sale for £4.99. Rayman Legends is £8.49. I myself picked up X-COM: Enemy Within (DLC) for £4.99. Never seen it that cheap anywhere before. The best I've seen was the physical copy in GAME once for £10 but I've never seen it that low online, let alone at the new price.
Shorty Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I got gunpoint for £3.49, but since I already own Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite on Xbox 360 and now PS3 thanks to PS+, I didn't think I needed them again :p
Emerald Emblem Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 £8 off ebay, now to see if the demo was as good a representation for the whole game or not. But at that price I can't go wrong.
Sheikah Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I hated the demo but liked the game. The demo put me off so much that I only picked it up by chance when it went below £10.
MoogleViper Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Awesome scalp at Argos. £14.99 each. Have you been importing from Australia?
tapedeck Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Argos seem to have Australian PAL games. Their Skyward Sword box is the Oz one too.
tapedeck Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Images are displaying upside down? Deciphering wit on a forum can be difficult. They are the right way up for me.
Josh64 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Damn you, tapedeck!! I'm so jealous, but congratulations on bagging them! And it finally came...
Blade Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Awesome scalp at Argos. £14.99 each. Thats amazing!!!
arab_freak Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I'd be very appreciative if someone could help me out with my problem: there's another Steam sale going on for Rockstar Games, but due to me living in the Middle East the only title I can purchase from that weekend sale is Midnight Club 2. I wish to purchase GTA 4: Complete Edition (I think it'll cost 4.50 GBP or so), but I can't. From one gamer to another, would anyone please gift me a copy? In return, I'll give any of these keys: Far Cry 3 (Origin only) Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition Batman: Arkham Origins DLC Mortal Kombat Kollection F.E.A.R. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin F.E.A.R. 3 Scribblenauts Unlimited The Lord of the Rings: War in the North The Lord of the Rings Online: Steely Dawn Starter Pack Guardians of Middle-earth Guardians of Middle-earth: Smaug's Treasure DLC Gotham City Impostors: Professional Kit http://store.steampowered.com/app/901583/?snr=1_614_615_rockstarpublisherweekend2014_616_3 It's shit like this that makes me understand piracy.
Mr-Paul Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Just bought three pairs of Beats headphones for a total of £13 in a Chinese market. Of course they're fakes, but pretty damn good for what I paid, and they sound great! Plus some fake Ray Bans for my brother for £6, to stop him stealing my real ones!
Shorty Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Images are displaying upside down? Deciphering wit on a forum can be difficult. They are the right way up for me. In my experience, pics taken with certain brands of phones and then viewed with certain brands of system can read exif data that 'rights' an image, whilst others can't. (Yeah, they were upside down, them actually being Australian really put a dampener on Moogle's joke )
Ike Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 My Retrode arrived along with the GB/GBC/GBA plugin. Basically it lets you plug in Mega Drive and SNES games on your computer (or anything you can plug it into really) and play the cart straight from an emulator. You can also backup the ROM and save file so I can grab some of my old saves like so: It also supports saving directly to your original cart if you play directly. Sadly it was too late for my Crystal save. :'( The device even has posts to plug in Mega Drive or SNES controllers which is pretty neat! Was debating getting a SNES of some kind but ideally I figure'd I'd either want a US or Japanese Famicom, but this is region free and plays Mega Drive games (as well as the hand held games thanks to the plugin). So now might start building my SNES/Super Famicom collection.
Emerald Emblem Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I hated the demo but liked the game. The demo put me off so much that I only picked it up by chance when it went below £10. To be honest, I think I'm the complete opposite to you. While it does feel better to play, I just don't seem to care about the story or characters. I guess FFXIII just isn't my type of series.
drahkon Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 The guide Will arrive in two weeks, but that's enough time to beat the game at least once without help
Beast Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 £6 £1.50 £1.50 £12 £5.99 ...and I'm planning on buying The Hunger Games: Catching Fire blu-ray at some point next week.
Kav Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 A holiday. 2 weeks in Fuerteventura so I can just chill out and have some time to just relax and not think about the troubles of the world! I go on Saturday and cannot wait!
bluey Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) ...a second one... because i worry about the one i have now coming off of my coat, this one will live in a box with my AA game collection (when i have one... planning on getting one game per paycheck from my "entertainment" budget ^_^) and: Because Adventure time written by Danielle Corsetto. That's why. Edited March 17, 2014 by bluey
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 There is literally nothing in that post I do not like.
Murr Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 So err.. starting today McDonalds and Nintendo are teaming up and the free toys with happy meal for the next 4 weeks are Super Mario related. Seeing as I'm 27 going on 8 years old, it was imperative I collect these, so today on my work lunch break I got my first Happy Meal in fuck knows how long... And I paid £1 to buy the 2nd toy for this week. I'll be going to McDonalds each Wednesday for the next 3 weeks to complete the set... http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/57335/mario-themed-mcdonalds-happy-meals-arrive-next-week/
ReZourceman Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Me too! Well I will be doing that. I have a cool anecdote actually. The last toys they did were cool LEGO cups for the movie. I went a few times to buy the cups (different branches have different cups in this area) and got my two least favourite ones. I really wanted the Emmet one but alas no luck. Last Wednesday me and some pals went to the casino(s). After the second one (£50 up each) (we go communal), we stopped off at McDonalds for a drink (I had a Fruitizz) and we asked at the Drive Thru which character the cup was (I was like "Please Emmet, please Emmet" she replied "Emmet" and I screamed, "YES YES YES I'LL TAKE IT! ONE CUP PLEASE!" Lolz.
