Ashley Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) Said I'd do this for Rez/so I'd know anyway. Dates on which American shows are returning. Dan Dare pay attention because I will once again be telling you when Chuck returns. Tuesday September 7th Sons of Anarchy Thursday September 9th Vampire Diaries Nikita Monday September 13th 90210 Gossip Girl Tuesday September 14th Parenthood Thursday September 16th It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Monday September 20th Chuck House How I Met Your Mother Two and a Half Men Mike & Molly Castle Hawaii Five-0 Chase Tuesday September 21st Glee Running Wilde Wednesday September 22nd The Middle Undercovers Better With You Modern Family Cougar Town Thursday September 23rd The Big Bang Theory Bones Community 30 Rock Bleep my Dad Says CSI Fringe Grey's Anatomy The Office Outsourced Mentalist Private Practice Friday September 24th Smallville CSI: NY Supernatural Saturday September 25th Saturday Night Live Sunday September 26th The Simpsons Cleveland Show Desperate Housewives Dexter Family Guy Bored to Death Brothers and Sisters Eastbound & Down Tuesday September 28th No Ordinary Family Stargate Universe Friday October 1st Human Target The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret Sunday October 3rd American Dad Wednesday October 27th Friday Night Lights Sunday October 31st The Walking Dead Wednesday November 10th Psyche Thursday November 11th Burn Notice Think that's everything that's been discussed here, along with new ones and anything I thought there may be a chance of interest in. A lot of the new comedies and some returning (such as Parks and Rec) are midseason, which is January time. Hence why they're not listed. DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A GENERAL TELEVISION DISCUSSION THREAD, its purpose is mostly informative/reference. Edited September 2, 2010 by Ashley
Cube Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I thought that The Cape was starting this year.
Murr Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Sorry if this sounds stupid but are those the American air dates? or British Air dates... Cause if they are British then i need to delete some stuff from my V+ Box in order to record new stuff!
Cube Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 They're American. Loads of people here watch them not long after the US viewing.
Guy Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 God damn, I cannot wait for the US Office to return.
ReZourceman Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Thanks Ashley. Do you know when The Cape is starting? I think I'm gonna download....I mean...yeah. Dexter. Its literally only just started on FX and I can't be bothered to avoid spoilers and not talk about it like that all over again. PS THE WALKING DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And of course looking forward to The Office, should be interesting.
Mr_Odwin Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Monday September 20th House Friday September 24th Smallville Sunday September 26th Desperate Housewives Dexter Sunday October 31st The Walking Dead Five shows? What will I do with the rest of my life?
Dan_Dare Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Tough questions, Odders. I have no immediate answer for you.
Charlie Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Yeah, I'm not seeing many weekly things in there for me either! I might have to start watching Gossip Girl again! How I Met Your Mother The Walking Dead Modern Family Currently re-watching Arrested Developement (saw it beginning of this year). True Blood and Entourage are coming for this season. Just finished watching The Pillars of the Earth, all 8 episodes over the weekend. My list of things to watch: Oz (series 2 onwards) The Wire The Sopranos Mad Men Dexter Think I'll carry on with Oz (I saw the first series at the start of the Summer) soon and intersperse it with Arrested Development as I do like some casual watching as well as what I call the 'heavy' stuff.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'll be watching: Stargate Universe Smallville Supernatural How I Met Your Mother The Office The Walking Dead Sanctuary The Big Bang Theory Bones 30 Rock Chuck Then others like Fringe and Castle I will most likely wait for dvd releases.
Daft Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'll be watching House and Stargate 'This-really-isn't-very-good-but-there-are-no-other-Sci-Fi-tv-shows-worth-looking-at' Universe.
Gizmo Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Monday September 20thChuck House How I Met Your Mother Two and a Half Men Jizzzzzzzzz
jayseven Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Sons of Anarchy is only next week?! Wiiiiiii! More of you should definitely watch it. In total there are 10 shows there that I'll be attempting to follow, with Fringe s02 needing to be caught-up, as well as FNL's latest season as I kinda gave up on it after about 4 episodes. I can't remember which of the new shows I was going to watch, either.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Dont think South Park comes back until around October time
Jon Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 This development year has blown in my view, the only new shows I have any interest in are The Event and The Cape..
Ashley Posted September 1, 2010 Author Posted September 1, 2010 South Park? Dont think South Park comes back until around October time South Park FINISHES its season in November. It started in March and had a near enough six month hiatus for some reason. Guessing the next (15th season) starts in March as well. And for those asking The Cape is midseason (so January/February kind of time).

South Park has done this every year for at least the last 4, possibly more.
Ashley Posted September 1, 2010 Author Posted September 1, 2010 Oh okay. Can't say I watch it that closely to notice.
Mokong Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm looking forward to How I Met Your Mother and Stargate Universe. Also looking forward to Fringe and Bones but I can wait for those to be shown on Sky 1. I am mostly looking forward to Caprica returning, any idea why it's not till fraking January? How is a 9 month gap a mid season break? When it does return they may as well call it season 2
Coolness Bears Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 You forget to mention one of the greatest and funniest shows of all time is retuning to our screens September 16th. I for one am very excited. FLIP FLIP FLIPADELPHIA! The McPoyles are returning. I shall also be watching: Gossip Girl How I Met Your Mother Glee Cougar Town The Big Bang Theory Community 30 Rock The Simpsons Family Guy American Dad The Walking Dead I have a lot of time on my hands.
killthenet Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Thanks Coolness, was about to post the It's Always Sunny... airdate myself. Another fantastic returning sitcom is Eastbound & Down coming back to HBO on September 26th.
Tales Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I'll be watching: Vampire Diaries (best high school show since Veronica Mars) 90210 (on dvd though, as I don't know of any stream) Gossip Girl Chuck(same as 90210) House The Big Bang Theory(same as 90210) CSI: NY(ditto) Smallville(ditto) Stargate Universe I'm looking forward to How I Met Your Mother and Stargate Universe. Also looking forward to Fringe and Bones but I can wait for those to be shown on Sky 1. I am mostly looking forward to Caprica returning, any idea why it's not till fraking January? How is a 9 month gap a mid season break? When it does return they may as well call it season 2 It will probably be cancelled after that, if it isn't already. Have they even shot the last part? Caprica is a great show, so much better than SGU.
