Hero-of-Time Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Finished Season 3 yesterday. It was a mixed bag and definitely the weakest of the 3. I agree with @drahkon in that it didn't really move the narrative forward that much. Also, I didn't care much for the ending. 1

Well, you can get a 3 month trial sub via PS5 right now The show's definitely worth a watch, but I can understand your hesitancy given the info.

I try to keep away from that as much as possible. If I didn't have to put in payment details then I would have signed up for one of those subs ages ago using a burner email or my works email address.

Also fair I don't like to put in card details, either, but I was able to use PayPal as the payment option.
Julius Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Teaser trailer for the Like a Dragon: Yakuza series: More interested than I thought I would be, feel like they've nailed the look at least. That classic swoop down into Kamurocho 1
MindFreak Posted September 10 Posted September 10 After finishing The Perfect Couple on Netflix this week, my wife and I proceeded to try out The Curse. We watched the first episode yesterday but I don't think we are convinced about the story and premise. There's something incredibly awkward about it. Will watch episode two to see how it goes but if that does not pique our interest further, I think we'll drop it in favor of something like Shogun.
Hero-of-Time Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Hmmmm....I'll watch it but I'm not feeling what I've seen so far.
Happenstance Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Just watching the first episode of Like a Dragon at the moment. Seems interesting so far but definitely lacks the charm of the games. Also defaults to dubbed English so I had to swap that out for Japanese with subs straight away.

Forget why I dropped off Currently watching Season 2 of Shrinking which is also pretty good. I like the Apple shows but have trouble actually keeping up on most of them. It sort of feels like Apple is speedrunning the Netflix model. Green light a ton of great shows that just don’t get the viewers necessary to justify them, but unlike Netflix they don’t have the same base of viewers. Ah well
Hero-of-Time Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Quote A "Mass Effect" TV series is officially in development at Amazon MGM Studios, Variety has learned exclusively. Daniel Casey is set to write and executive produce the adaptation. Karim Zreik will executive produce under his Cedar Tree Productions banner, with Ari Arad and EA's Michael Gamble also executive producing. Cedar Tree is currently under an overall deal at Amazon MGM Studios This should be a slam dunk. I look forward to seeing how they cock it up.

Nolan Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I rewatched the first 6 episodes and finished out the season. I’m now pissed I have to wait until January for more! On the other hand I binged through Silo and enjoyed it well enough and season 2 drops/begins in just over a week.
Nolan Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Still grinding through Apple shows. Slow Horses is pretty good. Silo season 2 has been good so far. Shrinking season 2 is a great watch. Eagerly waiting on Severance season 2 now. And yes, that’s a ton of shows that start with S

Also started Severance again. I want a friend to watch it, but we still need to get through the first episode. She is very interested, though. We definitely need to find some time to watch more. I can't get enough of that show 1
Glen-i Posted Wednesday at 07:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:33 PM Wallace & Gromit was amazing! Then again, not much new there. Definitely watch if you haven't yet.
Dcubed Posted Wednesday at 07:34 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:34 PM Vengeance Most Foul is absolutely cracking! Aardman knocked it out of the park!
Ike Posted Wednesday at 08:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:08 PM Was worried it wouldn't be good. I was very wrong - it was perfect!
Cube Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Watched Vengeance Most Fowl tonight and it was great. Great that it told its own story rather than just relying on references. And lots of lovely silly jokes like "how long have you been with us now?" "Since 9AM this morning". And did anyone else find the Ant and Dec joke to be far too funny for such a simple joke? Ollie seemed to enjoy it as well, I like that he called the glove a hat before Feathers put it on.

Absolutely, I was definitely thinking "Wait, what?" And then I saw the subtitle, and just burst out laughing. It's so effective. Edited 18 hours ago by Glen-i 1
Helmsly Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) I also watched Vengeance Most Fowl and absolutely loved it. The Anton Deck joke got me as well as Wallace coming up with an idea just as a van with picture of a light bulb is behind him. The whole movie was lovely Edited 15 hours ago by Helmsly
Nolan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago My yank ass has to wait until January 3rd to watch Vengeance Most Foul…. Anywho, watched what I believe was the finale to season 2 of Shrinking. Season 2 had more zany one liners and situations but they still pulled out the serious moments pretty well. Apple ended it with a fade to black but the black was a “if you or someone needs help” message and a link to an Apple webpage. Apples page then breaks it down into categories with links to the appropriate organizations. It’s not much but it’s still nice to see the resources being put out there.
