My name means handsome in Arabic.

Fuck yeeeah. (totally not true, though) Edit 2: I mean it does mean handsome, but I am not it.

Also, one of my 25 names is Allah and another is Mohammed.

Religiously handsome and God-like. I'll take that.

Ine's name means baked beans in Arabic. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Edit: Shit, I did a Wesley post. Copyright infringement.

I don't know what my English first name means, but Russian and Indian demonstrators at college often argue about whether it's a Russian or Indian name.

My Chinese name is kind of made-up (as in, not an existing name my parents pulled out of a baby names book). It means something like, I'm able to "encounter things that I want to meet". My Chinese surname apparently indicates that I'm a descendant of a Chinese king. Nothing else of interest.

And no, I'm not posting either as I'm averse to putting out any personal details online :heh:

My first name is Sam (not Samuel) and apparently means God's Word in Hebrew.

Middle name is Robert and means Bright Fame... =\

Last name is Goodsell which is 'one who was an honest fellow'.

That's what the internet just told me anyway. I remember looking into my surname a while ago and it derives from 'good soul'.

the property of being moderately cold.

Any of various usually omnivorous mammals of the family Ursidae that have a shaggy coat and a short tail and walk with the entire lower surface of the foot touching the ground.

Oh, and my surname:

Original: Is a "variant spelling" (which I presume means someone down the line spelt it wrong and it stuck) of another surname meaning "lovely (in terms of looks) brother".

Previous: Smite or strike.

Current: Son of John.

Matt: Gift of God/God's Gift

Nolan.....I'm getting some conflicting answers here, mostly Well Known or Champion though.

I am the Well Known Champion of Gods Gift....(to women).

Or it's all a load of honky and means nothing.

I was surprised to find that according to a couple random baby name sites that Nolan is a rather popular first and last name.

Henry means home-ruler, I've always known that.

Robert means bright fame, I love. Not just fame, but bright, as though it might burn out any moment, and is really off putting to others.

Eric means honourable ruler

Then my Scottish clan name, McKay, which I guess just is what it is.

My last name is a colour/has no meaning.

João is a fairly generic name. Theorized to originally mean "Jehova is graceful" or something. On the bright side, there exists a variant in almost every language, so I've been called John, Johnny, Jean, Johann, Giovanni and, of course, Jonas (which is my real-life nickname)

Tiago has an odd history. Jacob becomes Iago at one point, then a "Santo Iago" (Saint Iago) comes along and everyone calls him Santiago. And people start thinking it's "São Tiago" (Saint Tiago) and, lo and behold, a new name is born.

My two surnames mean "Riverside" and "Pear Tree" in Portuguese. Maybe I should use one of these as an alias at some point in the future, who knows? :heh:

My Aleut names I have no idea. Frankly, my command of the language is limited/practically zero.

I do know that Iun means "Heralded Son". Rohhann was my biological grandfathers name and it sounds similar to the word for "Forest" though what use we would have for a forest that far north and that cold is anyone's guess.

Jastallis is supposedly some tribal denomination, as is Teleka. Teleka again sounds very similar to "Telecutan" but they are an Inuit tribe, not a Aleutian tribe.

Hmm.... Do I really reveal my full name to you's guys...

okay.

My full name is Omar Ali Mooslim Jubokawa

Omar - Ultimate Devotee, I got named Omar after Omar Sharif as my mum adored him.

Ali - Noble & Sublime, I got the name Ali after Muhammad Ali, as my dad is a huge boxing fan, and Ali is 'The Greatest of all time!'

Mooslim - No meaning available, My Dad's name, so had to be in my name somewhere.

Jubokawa - LOL good luck finding a meaning to that badboy, But it's Mauritian decent.

My Forum name Murr is what my friends call me, I got the name in college when new people I met were too lazy to say Omar so shortened it down to Murr. Kinda stuck since. 2003 going strong with Murr.
