The default theme for the forums makes it look like mario is about to step in a golden turd.

(I have just woken up, after 12pm, with the words of a depressing dream haunting me, but it's one of thos giant-fir-me, trivial-for-everyone-else things so I'll just glance over it for something that is trivial for all)

Spent 2 hours in A&E this morning at 1 (as well as having to shell out £40 on taxis to get there and back) because one of my mother's cats decided to attack my right hand and clamped down on it repeatedly for 60-90secs. Can't really move the hand as a result as its swollen like a bitch.

At least it could be worse and I could have not had my hoodie on covering my arm but still pretty bad. Gonna be some angry words when the parents get home this evening though  What a fun weekend... :nono:

Video game producers. I've never known a more disorganized group of people in my life. Every morning I wake to no end of hassle, and manage to get very little done as I'm sorting out other people issues. I'd just like an easy day where things go right once in a while.

A very successful local estate agent rejected our proposal for their new website this morning because the price was too high. The MD claims he can get it far cheaper elsewhere. Good luck to you on that one, we didn't come in rock bottom but I can guarantee any web design company would come in significantly higher than we did.

Tell them I can do it for £50.

Then I'll do them a quote for a site like this.

(Although I don't think I would be able to make one that bad).

I think that is sort of the budget they're looking at.

The only thing I use my LiveJournal for these days is keeping a running tally of the games I play. I'm really lazy about updating, though, but it's fine because LiveJournal saves your unfinished draft, so even if I haven't updated in a while, I can keep the list current.

Except now they've forced a switch to a new system, and of course this meant my unfinished draft disappeared and took the last quarter of my list with it. Now to try to remember the last ~15 games I've played and when I played them.

How does one get into that anyway?

Yes, I'm trying to benefit from your bad day :heh:

Mostly working your way up from a QA position, I doubt either are something you want to get in to.

We're 7 days into our monthly internet usage and we're already at 77% of our monthly cap. Yes, that's right, fucking caps. It's 50GB transfer per month and guess what? It includes upload usage. So if my cousin leaves his utorrent on accidentally for a day then bam - 8GB uploaded.

Ridiculous to even have a cap, but I didn't realise uploads would be included.

I got Sky broadband, which even though it's a tad slow, has no usage cap. I'm fairly sure I've gotten through more than 500gb this month.

What's the deal in Australia? Isn't there some service you can change to without a usage cap?

I generally don't have much to complain about, but in the same vein as your post, raining, I've been having a couple of migraines the last week - with as much as two just today, one of which woke me up.

Migraines are a dip in the ocean compared to cluster headaches.... It genuinely feels like a drill is going through your brain and in that moment you lose all sensation of everything around you asides that pain. Although sometimes I think they're ok because they're so brief, whereas a migraine can go on for days... And some of my worse ones have been woeful.. I remember a few times laying in the bathroom in a complete spaz after a considerable amount of projectile vomiting :(

I seem to be getting migraines very rarely these days, I think that the antidepressants and less stress has definitely helped that. :)

Tesco Direct on the Wii U.

Thank you for your recent pre-order for a Wii U console.

You may have seen that Nintendo have confirmed a market wide shortage of stock for this product at launch.

However we are pleased to confirm that we will be able to deliver your order on the release date of 30th November.

We hope you enjoy your new Console!

Lying bastards... Had work at 1 so a delivery (usually) should've arrived by then, but it wouldn't be unheard of for a package to be delivered later on. So was hoping for an attempted delivery slip which I could take to the sorting office today. But as I return from work I find no delivery has been attemped. Now I fear that when I return from work today I'll find the dreaded slip and no time to retrieve it on Sunday...

Y'AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH

Was at a house party socialising last night -- sitting down casually with some wine conversing with these really interesting people I'd just met. I guess the straight whiskey I drank had a little effect as when I looked down I seem to have put my phone in my glass of wine ...

It's recovering on my radiator now :| the screen is whack and goes all dubstep / disco when I turn it on ..

I got a phone call from my Mum about this guy:

mAeb6.jpg

(There's a 10 year gap between those two photos)

Maximus passed away this morning. He was given his food this morning, seemed fine then the next time one of my parents saw him (literally minutes later) he was just...dead. Just like that. No change in character recently (except from being a bit more cuddly after Figaro died earlier this year), no known problems, nothing. It's suspected to be a heart attack, but we'll never know for certain.

With Figaro (as wrong as it sounds to say) it wasn't as bad because he was older and was showing signs for a while - he hung on to life for a long time. Maximus' death is a complete shock.

I'm going to really miss him.

Terribly sorry to hear that, Cube. Cats are man's Nemesis: they are here to remind us that no matter how proud, how powerful, how smart and how mighty we believe ourselves to be, that there is a creature out there who will, somehow, someway SHRED THE GODDAMN SOFA WHEN WE ARE NOT LOOKING.

I love cats, they're a little bundle of love, indifference and trouble wrapped up in whiskers and a tail.
