N-Europe

Thought it might make an interesting topic given that loads of people on general chat don't seem that into nintendo games any more.

How did you find the forum in the first place?

I believe I found it through the N-Europe whilst searching for nintendo podcasts a few years ago. Lurked for a while and eventually signed up, since when I've managed a mighty 0.86 posts per day...

Weird to consider how long I've cumulatively spent on here as a result of hopping round on itunes one night...

Joined in the cube-europe days. Imported a DS from America, and kept badgering @Strider (who had also ordered one) with questions. In the end he got fed up and linked me to this place. I still remember that CooInTheZoo (what handle does he go by now?) answered my very first question.

If memory serves, it was through Ashley, who was a member of my site back just before this place became Cube-Europe. Unless memory deceives me

Shh, I don't want people blaming me for your presence :heh:

If I did join your forum, I don't think I've ever posted.

Anyway, believe I just stumbled upon it. Not long after I became a newsie. Ten years later...

Well we became acquainted somehow :p

When I first got the internet, I searched for a "nintendo" site. As it was mostly American websites, I then tried "nintendo europe". I just used it for news and shortly after the move to Cube-Europe, I signed up.

I think a friend showed me N64-Europe during IT in my second or third year of secondary school. We had Gameboy/N64 games in common and probably wanted to read more "dolphin" rumours.

I was tired of never being able to find reliable European news and release dates for games, which leadi me to this site. That was back in the Revo-Europe days. Then after the big switch to N-Europe I decided to check out the forums. In the beginning I was only in the gaming section, then I became curious as to the personal relationships between members and ventured into the general boards, but since then my gaming time dropped, resulting in me hanging out exclusively in the general section. Since then I've picked up a bit on the gaming again, though, and with the recent forum make-over I've started hanging out a lot in the general gaming board.

I think I searched for something like 'nintendo news' waaaaaay back in the day. At first I just checked the main site every now and then. Eventually I ventured into the forums (possibly after seeing comments on news stories that mentioned it) and lurked for a long time. Eventually I signed up and after spelling my username wrong the first time, and having to sign up again with a different email address to get the right one, here I am!

And my info tells me I joined at the end of 2006, which makes this my seventh year, but probably my 8th if we count lurk time.

I think I was looking for Gamecube news and stumbled across Cube-Europe, mentioned the site to a friend and he told me he'd been on it a few times. I joined the forums a few weeks later, my post count in those days was fairly low though.

Back in the day, I started buying this Portuguese Videogame Magazine. They had a forum, which was the online place I hung out back in the day (they still had a Sega section when I joined them ). One of their members sometimes posted news while citing Cube-Europe as the source, which led me to the site.

And thus I became a visitor for the longest time until I finally decided to join the forums back in 2007 (or was it 2006?)

I found Cube Europe when searching for advice on importing the television unfriendly Japanese GameCube. Lurked for a while before signing up to post some impressions of Wind Waker (which I think they posted on the main website) and decided to stick around. The rest is a blur.

Iirc it was actually @Marcamillian who told me about it as a news site at some point(on msn or something maybe, linking an article) and I read the news and lurked the forum for ages; then when the wii was due to come out and I was sitting in my boring labs at uni; I think I took the plunge and joined the forum and started posting! Perused the boards and ended up sort of everywhere! Though I was more heavily in wii discussion at first, Gen Chit Chat soon took over my soouuuul.

Just stumbled onto it one day while looking for news about the Gamecube (i think). It was a long time ago anyway, back when i was still at school. Lurked a bit, then posted a bit (but not very much), then had a 4 or 5 years hiatus while i went to uni (i thought i was too old for it then), but curiosity got the better of me, and i came back and now i post quite regularly.

I googled "Nintendo Europe website and forum" when I wanted to find out info on "the dolphin" too. It led me to n64-europe which has since been my "home" on the Internet... more so than the porn sites!
