drahkon Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Really enjoying CoD and The Binding of Isaac currently. : peace: The rest of November will be crazy...AC Unity, Far Cry 4 (which I have pre-ordered), GTA V, Dragon Age. Will have to decide between AC, GTA and DA... Can't wait 'til it's Christmas and I have 2 weeks off university
Shorty Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Will have to decide between AC, GTA and DA...If you take review scores into account, one of those should be pretty easy to exclude

James Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Anyone else noticed slow download speeds since the 2.0 update, I used to get about 2meg a second, now I'm lucky if I get 300kb a sec.

Sheikah Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Ooh Ground Zeroes for £7.49? Now that's the kind of price I was looking to pay. :p
CoolFunkMan Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 There's some absolutely ridiculous prices there! Some must-buys for me too! How long is this sale on for? EDIT: Never mind, just read it properly. I'm still too poor to afford any of those deals. Damn'.
Tales Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) Sleeping Dogs and Thief interests me, but I think I will wait until I can find them on disc for the same prices. Edited November 14, 2014 by Tales
Cookyman Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Sleeping Dogs and Thief interests me, but I think I will wait until I can find them on disc for the same prices. Why? Your disc just installs it to the hard drive anyway your won't save much space.
S.C.G Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Why? Your disc just installs it to the hard drive anyway your won't save much space. I understand why, it's principle of ownership. Even I would take a disc copy over a digital copy if they were the same price, with Plus getting games for free is fair enough because last month we got Batman Arkham Asylum which I was more than happy to download because I wasn't too fussed either way - I'd have bought it already if I was - so I wouldn't now bother picking up a physical copy of it being that I have it digitally and it's only a game that I might play at some point before the new 'Next Gen' Batman game comes out... I've also got the Armoured Edition of Batman Arkham City to play as well which I also got for free on the Wii U. But for games like Metal Gear Ground Zeroes for instance, that was a budget release to begin with so I'm sure I could pick that up for the same price on disc pretty soon... if not then if it comes to plus for free then that's fair enough, I'd still prefer to go with a physical copy where possible though because at least you can just put the disc in the console, it installs and then plays without fail whereas with a digital copy lets say that you buy it but don't download it yet, then one day you feel like playing it but... Oh noes... PSN is down. Most of the time it's fine but why chance it? I do agree that those digital prices are still very good though an worth investing in if the lack of a physical disc doesn't bother you. : peace:
Tales Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I understand why, it's principle of ownership. Yeah I just like owning the physical versions of games.
Cookyman Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 @S\.C\.G fair enough, can't argue with that!
S.C.G Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 It must also be said though that I'm very impressed with the free digital games that I've received since joining Playstation Plus as it's a really good deal and the discounts are decent too.
Jimbob Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I'm in the same boat as @S\.C\.G and @Tales, i like owning a physical copy of a game wherever possible. It's something to be able to pick up a game box and look at it, i can't really give exact wording on that. But that's not to say i dislike digital. PS+ this year (being my first year of it) has been nothing but impressive in terms of the free games and discounts that come with it. It's most certainly paid for + twice over.
Rummy Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Saw an ad for PS4 last night that actually almost made me want to get it - the one where they're trying to get a mate in to help, but then they get a guy who doesn't even have the game! Thought it was a brilliant idea both from the gameplay/social aspect but business wise too it's great advertising. Seriously thinking I'm gonna save up and get a PS4 in the next year or so - was playing Fantasy Life online with two folks last night and had to set a Steam chat alongside - whilst not perfect/ideal we thankfully had no issues with it but it really made me miss a decent online system like I used to get on 360. For all my hate for Sony in the past they're really pulling it together from the tidbits I see this generation. Realistically what would somebody be looking at cost wise with a PS4? Can any bluetooth headset work with it too? I'd def need some sort of headset, not neccessarily at great cost, but ideally not shit/buzzing in everyone else's ears.

Best deal for a console on its own at the moment is £300 for the white version from Gamestop. There's some other deals for around £330 with a game though.
Choze Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 There will be more deals coming. Bundles etc. Just get the one you like. Definately get Plus.
S.C.G Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Speaking of deals, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to purchase Steel Dragon EX plus Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga 1&2 for £6 all in, I didn't think that was too bad for three digital PS2 games. If I were to buy them physically then it would have cost me about £25 for all three of those, so in those instances I don't mind buying digitally if it's a good saving. : peace: (This was on the PS3 store I hasten to add, the deals seem to be on until early December)
Sheikah Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 From midnight tonight on Argos's website you can get a PS4, LBP3 and Minecraft for £300 (as well as a £10 Argos voucher). Ashley Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 My Plus subscription has run out apparently. Give me a shout if anyone spots a deal. Probably won't get a chance to do much gaming for a week or so, but if I find nothing I'll just get the standard price.
