I was sleeping last night and all I've managed to establish so far is Mario has nipples and King Dedede is swole. I'm so confused.

Got a PS4 and will hook it up sometimesoooonnn... but kinda addicted to rocket league and PUBG. Also now officially 6 months smoke free! ... but I use a vape so I guess that's cheating...

It looks like we get this in Nov and Mario Party in Jan, whereas the US get the games the other way around. I'd much rather have this so I feel we got the better deal. Nintendo is also hosting a vote where you have to pick what your favourite Kirby abilities are. My first vote went on the Archer. That ability helped me cheese my way through the boss rush mode in Triple Deluxe and as such deserves my top spot.

They quite often group them together when they can but it depends, usually if you've ordered them seperately then they will come seperately but they might choose to bundle them. Either way, I would look out for two small to medium sized boxes which will likely arrive by the same courier. I hope they all arrive safe and sound. The amiibo were sold out by the time I got round to ordering so I had to go with Amazon Germany in the end, no shipping info from them but I'm hopeful they will turn up in a few days.

Some games tonight, after Mario kart? I think Salmon Run is on, but not sure. I'm happy to do other stuff as well. Not directly related, but I was thinking of creating a separate thread for online gaming meet-ups, not tied to a specific game, and maybe even have a dedicated weekly (or perhaps monthly) gamenight where we all get together and play the various online games we have available (including the Mario Kart league of course). Before the year is over, this will already be an impressive line-up of online games, with Fifa coming, as well as nine parchments, Dragon: marked for death, and now even Doom, and plenty of smaller titles as well. Any interest in the thread and/or gamenight?

Archer is incredibly broken, but it gets horribly nerfed in Triple Deluxe's multiplayer mode and I'm kinda scared the same would happen here. So I'm going with the best forgotten Super Star ability.

You can get 270 stuff from the vendors, it's just a bit rate though. You can also pick up Cayde's maps which have pretty good stuff in the chests, do public events for exotics (which will be higher power level; use that consumable item that boosts drops when taking on these), and nightfall. Nightfall is really quite easy to do and VERY rewarding. You get drops after killing the boss in the nightfall and powerful gear for completing the nightfall. It's not difficult if you're over 260.

You can take your Switch with you, along with various multiplayer games ;).

Yeah crazy times, too crazy for me now so I'm being really strict and just sticking to switch for new games now. A few games on ps4 backlog, loads of psvr stuff. But just focussing on switch now. My gaming life is officially curbed

True! When I'm at home I tend to play multiplayer games on the PS4 which is why I've not picked them up even though at first I thought I would... I've still got a huge back-log on PS4! ...but I am looking for games to play on the Switch to make the commute to/from work more fun so they could be worth the purchase in that case. I think just knowing I could get them cheaper on PS4 is a block in my mind from just biting the bullet and getting them on Switch at full-whack.

Skyrim and Doom are definitely a hell of a lot cheaper on the PS4. You can get Doom for a tenner these days. Ask yourself this, do you really want these games or are you just looking for something to play on the Switch. I mean, you've had a PS4 for a long time and both Doom and Skyrim have been available on that platform for ages now. I assume if you really wanted to play them you would have done so by now.

Yeah, I actually thought Bethesda would hold out any new game development after the release of Skyrim, to see if the game failed or not on the system. Which it probably would, seeing as it is a port of a game from 2011. I'm really glad to see that they have gone a step further and announced two games that are both triple A and totally not a typical Nintendo game! It really shakes things up, and in a very, very positive way!

I was in a company that grew from 9 people to 300 but was still run by people who had no idea what they were doing. I was responsible for legal compliance and they didn't think it was important. There are some serious changes coming in to our laws and regulations and they weren't giving me the resources needed to approach the situation. On the one hand they wanted me to be responsible for such things... but on the other they just said no to everything. What could I do?

Great topic @Hero-of-Time. I don't think the lack of Virtual Console so far has hurt the switch. I've been recently thinking about how much of a draw playing old games really is these days, as the generations that grew up playing the are getting older and have had access to re-buying these classics on the two previous Nintendo consoles since 2006. On the flip side of course, the NES and Snes mini both sold out so maybe I'm wrong about the pulling power these games have, but I know for myself, I'm not really interested in buying anymore NES, SNES or N64 games again because I've bought all the ones I want and have ready access to them. I much prefer that instead of playing Sonic the hedgehog 1, I'm playing Sonic Mania or as you mentioned in your post, Blaster Master Zero instead of the NES original . I'm not against those originals being available for the switch but I am finding myself caring less about replaying/rebuying older games. Even if Gamecube games were to make it to the VC this time around, I don't think I would buy anything beyond Paper Mario 2. I'd much prefer a remake in the vein of Wind Waker HD when it comes to stuff like Mario Sunshine. So lack of VC hasn't bothered me at all.

I wish I didn't like amiibo so much The sculpts and paint jobs are so good though! These all arrived today. Much prefer the use of clear plastic as supports rather than the horrible colours they used to use.
