    • No, Timmy will not come back. Yes, this will be a trimmed down breakdown of my gaming year for two reasons: can't be arsed it was a very quiet year Here goes: No idea what happened in August. Yes, there are 3 short and easy PSVita games in those 12, but other than that I played quite a few larger games. Weirdly enough, the weather was incredible and I do remember spending a lot of time outside my home. My time management had to be off the charts. Also no idea what happened since October Started quite a few games but haven't finished any. No surprises there. Played a lot of PS5 SKUs and it will probably stay that way for the foreseeable future. Weird one...haven't played a lot of games coming from PS+ this year. And it's not because the games on offer haven't been great. I guess it's because I've finished a lot less games this year than usual.   Yeeaaahhh...a steady decline. No comment Quite happy that I cut my spending for gaming in half. And please ignore the missing "2024" label   There you have it, in case you're interested. A weird year for me in gaming as I feel like I've played a lot but actually - compared to recent years - I haven't. Well...I know the reasons, but I'm not going to talk about them (don't worry, they are actually quite nice ). Any gaming goals for 2024? Only a few: finish Metaphor and DQ3 HD-2D maybe FFVII: Rebirth, too once Slay the Spire 2 is out in Early Access: try not to neglect real life spend less on gaming than in 2024   Wishing you a wonderful time during Christmas
    • It's kinda why I prefer the new method of Bonus Stars more modern Mario Parties do. The N64 games too heavily favour those who win minigames. 9 times out of 10, the person who wins the most minigames in the N64 entries will automatically get 2 extra stars at the end, due to the Minigame Star and the Coin Star being complimentary. Here? Sure, you can still get a bonus star from minigame wins, but it's not a guarantee. It's a better balance, minigame wins are still important, but not the be-all, and end-all. Makes for more exciting finales as well. A run of bad luck can end up being beneficial in the long run, or a inconsequential decision to not use an item to lower the chances of a Plunder Chest being successful biting the person back later, even if no-one realises it until the very end!
    • What did you learn?  Always eat your mushrooms.  Great game though, having that star stolen off me near the end was so close to actually making a difference. I actually got lucky with the two bonus stars. Getting bullied by landing on those red spaces and being in 1vs3 games paid off.
    • Nintendo eShop new releases (week 51) The fifty-first week of releases. A selection of new titles are now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Check the article for the full roundup. - - - - - See you next week!
    • Very happy you stuck with it, got to the end and really enjoyed it. Like you, I love the puzzles and it's one of the reasons why I dislike the original version of Resident Evil 4. That game went all action based and threw away one of the things I loved about the series. Resident Evil 2 is even better, IMO. It's one of my favourite games of all time and the remake does it justice. The second game has better characters, story and replay value. As much as I love the mansion, I like the police station even more. It's a different beast to the original game but it's where the series really found it's feet and took off. Yeah, I'm excited for you to play it. Well, at least the remake of it.
