Blackfox Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Its still winning, even if it isnt the jackpot :P Anyway, the mini-game you ask!? Well, what's the most you've ever won on lotto or in a competition of some kind? For me - I've won 4 x£10 on Lotto. Discuss.
The3rdChildren Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 It's people like you who make people in the world angry and mean. I think it's possible that the negatively charmed slime under New York city in Ghostbusters 2 was a consequence of your existence. In fact, Ghostbusters 2 was horrible. Ghostbusters 2 is a direct consequence of your existence. I'm not jealous.
demonmike04 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 =( bought about 10 scratch cards since i was legally allowed to buy them on my own and have had no wins. I really shouldnt have ran after that black cat under a ladder and killed it with a mirror that smashed to pieces. =P luck is so much bollocks.
Cubechris Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 In total around £60 on both the lotto, and the cards, but I have since stopped, as its daft. Anybody here tried the new 'monday' lottery?
Ginger_Chris Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 i buy a ticket every week, (luckydip) in thehopes i can get rid of my student loan. if prolly won £100 altogether, and spend about £300. but there always the hope that my student loan could disappear overnight. Actually i better go check last nights numbers...
Nintendork Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Current lottory status: -£1. Never playing it again.

I've won about 40 quid over the years in the national lottery, as the result of 4 seperate 10 pound wins. My brother is usually quite lucky and he wins a tenner (sometimes even more) on scratch cards every now and again.
Ashley Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 My gut tends to tell me to buy a scratchcard at times, and its always right. Although I then buy another and waste the £1 or £2 I win, so I break even.
fatnickc Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 My mother won £50 or so on the Millenium Lottery thingy.
Katie Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 The other week I won £4 on a scratch card, then bought 2 more and won £2 and £1, then I bought 2 more and lost. Still £3 up, go me.
Tom Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 i have won £80 on stratchcards, but never won on the draw. I am about £600 in profit at the casino though and won some money on the FA caup yesterday, so my gambling in general is well into the profit zone.
AshMat Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 My mum won on a star wars one once, she bought it for £2 and won £2 So a total winning of: One free game...
rokhed00 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Don't do the lottery, or scratchcards, myself, but the missus does and win's fairly frequently, just the odd tenner now and again on the lottery but she does much better with the scratchcards, usually winning over a tenner at a time, and sometimes up to £50.
Space Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I've never won anything from any form of lotto. Haven't exactly spent much on it, maybe 10-15 tickets so far. The older you get the more you realise you need quick money but I'd never spend much on it. Tried the Play Monday lottery last week as it's more charity friendly and I can specify exactly which charity it goes to. I tend to lean towards the animal ones but if they're not in the random 5 shortlisted it's not easy to find another worthy cause to support. The Play Monday site was slow slow I had to do my lucky dip about 5 times and it took 2-3 hours to get registered without the site slowing down to the point the session timed out. Since then they've said the capacity is now higher. They should have expected to get hit after a 4 page (inc front and back) ad Monday on morning in the Metro (London Underground free paper). Trying it again tomorrow but not expecting to win. :P
the_villa Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Did anyone see that protest on the lottery the fathers for justice thing
theguyfromspark Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I won £1239 pounds on the lottery once, and if my stupid mum had been born a day later, i would have picked 30 instead of 29 and would have match all 6 numbers instead of 5. Oh well, it paid for my deposit on my house and it's better than a kick in the nads.
Shorty Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Played every week since it launched, only won one tenner. :/ Considering that means I've paid them about £630 -- I hardly feel like a winner.
DiemetriX Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 My gut tends to tell me to buy a scratchcard at times, and its always right. Although I then buy another and waste the £1 or £2 I win, so I break even. hehe, The exact same think happens to me.
Platty Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Ive won a few tenners in the past and i have had 4 numbers once but only got about £70 or so.... rubbish !
The fish Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 One of my friends won (cant remember where) a digital camera worth £500. The next month he won another one almost worth as much! He sold it one ebay and ended up 1 digital camera and (i think) £420 better off. The lucky sod.
