You should watch it.

I always found the box arts some of the most fucking terrifying things ever as a child, but I recently watched them and;

- Childs Play = Really enjoyable.

- Childs Play 2 = The first five minutes is the best opening to a horror sequel ever.

- Childs Play 3 = Absolute gash but its Jimmy Olsen-rific.

I have not seen Bride or Seed....but will eventually.

Bring on Curse.

Bride is awesome, really awesome. Funny, Gory... but no means scary.

Seed is a joke. I've watched it & own it. But that's purely because I love the series and needed the conclusion. It was pretty terrible.

Very very hyped about the Curse though :)

I saw the Bling Ring whilst in Brussels, and I thought it was brilliant. It started off a little slow and amateurish in style, but it found it's feet. Emma Watson was fantastic, and the soundtrack equally so.

So I rewatched Rocky IV (@Fierce_LiNk) the other day. It's literally the best action movie ever:

-Soviet Union announce that they are entering professional boxing with a former soldier named Ivan Drago.

-Apollo Creed, the most pro-America guy ever, comes out of retirement to fight him, against the wishes of like everyone. He cites the 'us against them' reason.

-Drago kills Apollo in the fight.

-Rocky agrees to effectively become a martyr; fighting Drago on Christmas day....in Russia.

-Rocky wins and gives a speech that basically ends the cold war.

What a film. It's literally like a comic book. I remember watching the film as a kid and thinking Drago was some sort of robot :p

Knock-out post, braaaah.

I love Drago so much that I named my Xpert11 team after him. That scene where he climbs the mountain and shouts DRAGOOOOOOOOOO! Inspirational.

That film is just fantastic. It's completely different to the others. It's hilarious in a way how its so blatantly obvious that the film is cold war allegory. I love it. :D

The film also has the best soundtrack out of all the films. It's not reliant on that uplifting orchestral score from the previous films. In comes the rock music, in comes James Brown and out comes a soundtrack made for heaven. Or hell depending on your viewpoint.

In short, I fucking love that shit.

Last few films seen (of which the last one tonight):

- Ginger & Rosa (again)

Elle Fanning is absolutely amazing.

- Die Wand

Bit of an existentialist film.. A woman is trapped in a mountain area by an invisible wall, and she believes to be the only survivor of a catastrophe. What do you do? People wanting an explanation for the wall will be disappointed, the film focusses purely on the woman and her thoughts. I liked it, but it’s not for everyone.

- Frances Ha

Sweet New York comedy about Frances, who doesn’t seem to get a break in life. Dry humour, sympathetic characters. I like it.

- The iceman

Based on a true story about a hitman. The awesome Michael Shannon plays Richard Kuklinksy, family man by day, killer by night. A very interesting character, which makes for a gripping drama. Also, David Schwimmer is in it :D.

I watched 'This is the end' last night.

Holy shit I loved it. So so funny.

The cast is awesome, Michael Cera is so good in his scenes.

The scene when James Franco asks who came in his porno mag, and Danny McBride owns up to it, then the argument regarding cumming in the house everywhere. It went on and on and on... but it was funny throughout all of it.

I Couldn't pick a favourite character from the main cast, they were all brilliant.

So many people were in the film, even if only briefly....

Cameo's from Paul Rudd, Channing Tatum, Zoey Deschanel, Jason Segal, Mindy from Mindy Project, Christopher Mintz Plasse.

Was great seeing a scene albeit brief, but it was a Superbad reunion with Cera, Jonah Hill and Chris Mintz Plasse.

Haven't laughed as much in the cinema since watching 21 Jump Street.

That Pug film sounds amazing, will definitely have to give it a look :p

Also, I went to see This is the End yesterday and LOVED it. I usually think those kinds of films don't work (I hated Shaun of the dead) but this was really something.

I also totally agree with Murr's first spoiler, i've never laughed at a film so much in ages. The part near the beginning with the gun was also hilarious.

Only lame part was getting ID'd to see it. I assumed it was an 18 so didn't think too much of it but nah, it's rated 15.

With that in mind, I'm off to the hairdressers today for a much needed trim :p

I also watched This is the End recently and it was exactly what I was expecting, which wasn't much. Didn't find it *as* funny as everyone else here is making out (still enjoyable though). Perhaps its a taste/sobriety thing.

Still, that ending was quite something. And anything with James Franco is fine in my book (although I won't watch Your Highness).

And it is a certain irony that Michael Cera's most unique role so far has been him playing 'himself'.

Was a bit disappointed that Dave Franco didn't appear.

I'm always one for a documentary and didn't really know what to watch so did a random choice on Netflix and stumbled upon Catfish.

I can't really say much without giving things away, but it's about a photographer who gets involved with an 8-year old girl and her family thanks to her fantastic paintings. My god. It really is quite something. It started off pretty slow but about half way through, things really heat up.

I don't think I've ever been quite so on edge watching anything as when they first go up to the front porch and she finally opens the door.

The part where he tells her "We need to sit down and have a real talk about things. I need to speak to Angela" also had me on edge. When she burst into tears shit got real.

As crazy and weird as the woman is though, I actually do feel really sorry for her. It's weird how someone who can spout so many lies and be so creepy can actually still come off as a kind of victim in it all. I don't know, the whole thing left me feeling weird.

And my god, Yaniv is STEAMING hot.

But yeah, I know I'm not exactly selling it on my brief and cryptic description but that's because I don't want to ruin anything. I highly recommend it, it's the most interesting and entertaining documentary I've seen since King of Kong.

The other montage too is fantastic.

THERE'S NO EASY WAY OUUUUUUT!

Am cry, Stallone. Am cry. I remember getting emotional over that as a kid. Drago used to scare the shit out of me. Trying to watch Universal Soldier after with him in it after seeing Rocky IV only made it worse, seeing as how he's almost unstoppable in that, too.

Seen World War Z last night.

And..

aaaaaand..

It was actually good.

Didn't expect that. :)

Today I randomly came across the trailer of Perfect Sense.

I remember seeing it in the cinema a year ago.

This movie...It left me speechless, empty, sad, somehow weirdly happy, hopeful and hopeless.

Have to watch it again, and I think I will be horrified for the second time.

Seeing as my other pal recommended this (a while ago) and then I read your post...I watched it. Really stunning documentary. Interesting finale/culmination too.

Finally got round to seeing Despicable Me 2 last night; wasn't sure how I'd feel or how it would hold up compared to the first one which I rather enjoyed considering what the film is.

Have to say I am most undissappointed personally, had me cracking up so much of the way through. If you liked the first, I'd def recommend checking out the second if you haven't already!

In other news, saw Now You See Me last week. Was good enough for the most part, but I came out dissappointed.

I actually only saw all the Rockys properly last year I think. Seen I-IV, and Balboa, but not V. They are still great today! Of course, IV was strangely pushing it a bit but it's got some brilliant moments - I think the comic book analogy is spot on. 'If he dies, he dies' and the Drago robot thing with them both commenting how the other isn't a man/machine. Brilliant.

I saw Despicable Me 2 on Tuesday night, and This is the end last night.

Despicable Me 2 was ok, funny in places, but most definitely a children's film. However, it tended to be the silly childrens humour that made me laugh the most, so i can't complain. I think the first one was better, and Megamind (released the same week as Despicable Me) is better than both of them.

This is the end was good, better than i hoped, but not as funny as i was expecting. I laughed a fair amount though. I love the cameos at the beginning, they were great. Did anyone spot the 'secret' celebrity cameo? Apparently there is a split second cameo by someone uncredited, but i didn't spot anyone. It's probably in the crowd scenes at the beginning. I'm sure it'll come out when the DVD comes out.

The ending was the best thing ever, and definately the funniest part of the film. Amazing.
