Josh64 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I'm on such a high from seeing Kyary Pamyu Pamyu live yesterday! It was so energetic and fun, and as much as I loved her when I first started listening a few years ago, I'd never imagined I'd actually get to see her in real life! The music, the dancing, the costumes, oh man. I want to go back already :p And despite the awful transport (especially considering we went when there was a tube strike) I love London. There's so much happening, I'll have to start going more often, though if I do then I'll also have to get much better at understanding trains and the underground, because good lord, I had no idea what was going on - thankfully the friend I was with knew where to go :p But as if seeing Pamyu Pamyu wasn't enough, one of my all-time favourite music artists from the UK, Frankmusik, was there in the audience right by me! I didn't get to speak to him though, I didn't actually realise until after the show :p I kept looking over thinking "man, he looks like Frankmusik" but kept telling myself, what are the chances that he'd be at a J-Pop concert at the same time as me, on the same floor, just a few seats away. Alas, when I got on facebook when I got home he'd uploaded a video of the concert from the EXACT angle I'd seen him. So bam, put on instagram "turns out @Frankmusik was there!" and good lord, he replied, "amazing show, right?!" It feels like I'm dreaming.
Frank Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I just received a notification, thinking someone mentioned me in a post
Ashley Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 @Frankly I have no idea how he could think such a thing.
Charlie Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I had a cracking night last night. My friend won a bottle of vodka and a booth in the club that is nearest to my flat so we managed to get 5 boys together for a cheeky night out on a school night. Turned up at the club but we were literally the only people there. Smashed the vodka, had more drinks and then bumped into a friends girlfriend which is when the night got interesting. Somehow my friend and I were back at her flat chatting to her and her flat mate. My mate went to bed with the flatmate whilst I slept on the sofa. He broke his dry spell and I got an awful sleep, woke up at half 8 and then was 30 minutes late and I'm now absolutely shattered.
Goafer Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Went to see jousting at Blenheim Palace today and it was ye olde rad. There must have been an Indian wedding being held today as well, because when we were walking in we saw an exquisitely dressed Indian man riding on an equally exquisitely dressed horse, whilst a traditional Indian band wailed on their instruments. It was awesome.
Debug Mode Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Came third in the Liverpool Street Pass tournament for Mario Kart 7, Rainbow Road fucked me in the ass and stole first place from me!
Jimbob Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Following on from the bad stuff part regarding LAME, they had mucked up with my purchase of "Child of Light". Again explaining it was pre-order only (and again, that was bull as i proved it wasn't). They gave me a full refund on the game, and let me keep the receipts with the codes as a "gesture of good will". So not all bad in my eyes, complaining does pay off at the right time.
Goafer Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) I didn't really like any of the clock faces I could find for the Galaxy Gear, so I figured I'd learn to make my own. I had 2 things that I really wanted: Simple and dark. The thing lights up whenever I raise my hand, which is convenient but it means that if it's dark, my wrist lights up like a beacon. So as much black as possible in the theme. Here's the preview: Nothing special, but I'm happy with it. Edited May 4, 2014 by Goafer
gaggle64 Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 This weekend has been a quite spectacular weekend of not having anything to do and subsequently not doing it. I feel so fucking relaxed right now it's unbelievable. It'll be gone soon enough but right now I can still savour it.
ReZourceman Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Back from a few days at theme parks with some chums including The Peeps. It was epic sauce. Await photos and videos.
The Bard Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I just discovered what the + Quote button does. My life has momentarily swung from herp to jerp, and I'm so excited.
MoogleViper Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I just discovered what the + Quote button does. My life has momentarily swung from herp to jerp, and I'm so excited. ...what have you been doing all this time? What did you think it did?
The Bard Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 ...what have you been doing all this time? What did you think it did? That's why I never quote people! I just thought it was some sort of occult forum paraphernalia that wouldn't bear being tampered with. I figured it out just now when I joined the Idle Thumbs forum where they have a "multiquote" button, and I had an ohmygodthat'swhatitis moment.
Ashley Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 First day of controlling the video side (as opposed to the audio side, but also included some of that) for the freelance stuff I'm doing. Was slightly terrifying as it was live, and I made a few mistakes, but felt good to be challenged and I felt likei improved as I went along. Yay using my brain!
Eenuh Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I start my new job tomorrow! I am both excited and nervous at the same time! Hope it all turns out well with this job and it will become full-time in the future (if I like it of course). =) Also will go to Belgium on Wednesday to see my family for a few days, yay! It's going to be a busy week!
Charlie Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Just bought 4 TM Lewin shirts online for £64, down from £120 due to 2 different discount codes that you could use at the same time. Absolutely cracking price.
ReZourceman Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Soooo... I'm training someone at work and so I'm listening to their calls. An N-Europe member called up today!!!! I was only 90% sure it was them, and was too chicken to ask the guy I'm training to say "does he X" but yeah. CReqaazxxazzzyyyy. I can 100% confirm it was them now. Mental. Ugh. Kinda wish I said something.
Fierce_LiNk Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I can't really say. #DataProtection If we keep guessing, can you give us a cough when we get to the right answer? Was it Jive Talkin Negros?
