navarre Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Nationality is a very confusing thing indeed. It can also get a very frustrating thing when people make blatantly false claims regarding their heritage. The aim of this thread is to find out what nationality(ies) you identify yourself at. I'm 100% British. Dislike of America, dislike of France, dislike of Scotland... I've got the full works.
Raining_again Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Northern Irish for teh win. But I was born in Scotland.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 As far as I'm concerned, I'm 100% Danish. My ancestors have lived in the same area for many generations.
Cube Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I'm 100% English, but also Welsh. I was born in England, my parents are both English but I grew up in Wales.
Dog-amoto Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Half Italian half English My auntie was half Polish, half Jamaican and half Irish... ...She was a big woman (sorry)
gaggle64 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Born in England, raised in an English family, spent most of my life in Scotland, which has apparently left me with a distinct Irish or American accent, depending on who you ask. I like to think I'm of ancient Roman stock: dark curly hair, slim build, tans slowly.
Dante Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 i am 98% british and 2% irish my great grandad was irish
Roostophe Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Mainly English, but my grandmother is Scottish. Which probably means I have some Scottish in me as well. That's basically it.
chrizkerr2 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 If I am correct in my calculations, I'm 75% English and 25% Scottish. Grandad was Scottish, married an English Woman, gave birth to my dad (Making him 50% Scottish?), who married my Mother who was English, who then gave birth to me. Am I right?
Chuck Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Born in England. Raised in Kuwait. 100% English though.
Fresh Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 75% English, 25% American. I'm being very general saying "American" That's just a melting pot of all kinds of crap.
Fierce_LiNk Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I dunno what the hell I am, I've been trying to work it out most of my life, haha! Ok, here are some things to throw into the mix. I was born in Wales, and have lived here most of my life, until about 3 years ago, where I moved to Brighton. My real Mother is Pakistani. My real Dad was born to a white woman from Manchester, and a Pakistani...from Pakistani. My Dad's Mother has some French and Irish Blood in here, as her Dad was Irish and her Mum was part French. So, that would make me...at least 3/4 Asian, with about 1/8th English...and then some Irish and French there too maybe? I don't know. Help.
Coolness Bears Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Well I'm 100% Paraguian! (I think) as I was born in Paraguay. I'm a british citzen though so does that make me a bit English? I'm also adopted does that make any difference? :p
Chris the great Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 well, as far as my sister can trace the family tree, im english, or to be more precise, north east englanian. litteraly dont give a fuck. im not exactly patriotic.

Chuck Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 My aunt was working on the family tree. I am a direct descendant of William the Conquerer and William Wallace's brother
Tom Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 i'm a bit of a mix. On my dads side of the family they are all very english. Mums side is a different matter though. She was born in south africa. Her mum was born in norway and her dad was born in india. Theres also a bit of scottish (my great grandad (possibly great great) on my mums side is Abram Lyle of Tate and Lyle) and some irish too. Probably other bits too, my mums side of the family is a major mess.
triforce_keeper Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 100% English far as I know. Although people often ask if I have Japanese in me They say I have slightly slanted eyes Which I don't XD
Supergrunch Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I'm about 1/16th Danish, and 1/32nd French, and there's probably a little hint of Arabic somewhere. Other than that, I'm mostly English (read: unknown), and that's the nationality I consider myself to be.
