Cube Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 £13.99 for an awful film thats more like torture than a film? No thanks.
4q2 Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Have to admit, I wasnt too impressed either. The bit where they scrapping naked on the bed was piss funny, but incredibly wrong though.
scubahood Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 My got these in at work last week would buy it but if i want to watch it i'll just head over to peekvid
DanielTimothy Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I loved the film myself, so much so infact . . . I got a little aroused when watching the naked fight. Might pick this up when I get more money.
Stocka Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Was going to buy it but i'll probably wait till it's a little cheaper
Kurtle Squad Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Me n my bro ordered it last night; so hopefully we'll get it tomorrow, if not, the day after.
Letty Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I have not/ will not see it, but I like the title of this thread.
Dan_Dare Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 fantastic film but I know it won't be as funny on repeat. I'll pass on this one.
Guest Stefkov Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 So many averst of it in the Metro. I'll give this a pass. I was pissing myself out of dusgust the first time I watched it. Doubt I'll watch it again.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 So is Borat the new 'cool' thing to bash because it's popular now? Oh well, i'll still buy it and laugh again and again and again.
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 So is Borat the new 'cool' thing to bash because it's popular now?Oh well, i'll still buy it and laugh again and again and again. You're either gonna laugh hysterically, or you'll cringe to death. Luckily, I'm one of the laughers. It's wrong to be a hater. I'm gonna skip this, I think. I don't own many comedies on DVD, for the very reason that I don't want to watch them to death and just not find them funny anymore. When I think of Borat, I think of the time when I saw it in that packed cinema, with the audience in fits and laughter tears streaming down my eyes.
flameboy Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Was going to buy it but i'll probably wait till it's a little cheaper I just picked it up it's offer of the week in tesco for just £9.46. you won't find it much cheaper than that. Awesome film, like flinky remember being at the cinema full of people, wetting their pants, never before witnessed that at the cinema, not to the extent of Borat anyway.
Bren Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 So is Borat the new 'cool' thing to bash because it's popular now?Oh well, i'll still buy it and laugh again and again and again. nope its cool to be racist so it seems. Find this so boring, Ali G all the way, fuck borat, hes a **** as that character.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 nope its cool to be racist so it seems. Find this so boring, Ali G all the way, fuck borat, hes a **** as that character. You are aware of how stupid that statement is? Borat is a character designed to show how stupid ignorant racists are. Both the character and the real people he meets are guilty of it. That's why it's funny. Are you thinking of a different film?
AshMat Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I don't know if i'll buy it or not.. i loved it at the cinema, and no doubt i'll still keep loving it, but i'm not in a rush to get any DVDs right now.
Roostophe Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I didn't see it at the cinema, so I had to get it on DVD. I watched it on Saturday and bloody enjoyed it.
Platty Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Films like that are never funny the second time. I have watched it again and found it just as funny if not more cos of all the deleted scenes
Eenuh Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I had never even heard of Borat before this movie came out in the cinema. Didn't watch it and don't think I will, unless my dad ends up renting it someday, which I doubt.
The Bard Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I've not seen it yet, but it sounds pretty cringe worthy. I'll probably rent it sooner or later.
The fish Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 You are aware of how stupid that statement is? Borat is a character designed to show how stupid ignorant racists are. Both the character and the real people he meets are guilty of it. That's why it's funny. Are you thinking of a different film? This is one of those rare occasions where I agree with you. It also shows what people will accept, say and do, if they feel it is what they are expected to do. I didn't see it at the cinema, so I had to get it on DVD. QFT I missed the opportunity to see it with friends, but I'm having a film day soon, so we'll probably watch it then, along with the four Monty Python films.: peace:
Katie Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 When I think of Borat, I think of the time when I saw it in that packed cinema, with the audience in fits and laughter tears streaming down my eyes. That made me laugh I'll probably end up owning it but I'm not in any rush. I do want to see the deleted scenes though.
