    • I feel like 900p would be a decent compromise, but 1080p really is insanity. The fact the OLED can go 9 hours on a single charge, depending on the game of course, is a huge thing that attracts more handheld pay. I'm sure the tech wizards will have it all figured out and the battery life will still be solid, but I do think going that high is a bit needless, especially with the LCD screen as you mentioned.  It's all a delicate balance of tech, performance, & price, and I have no doubt they will get that mix as right as possible that will make their own in-house games really shine.
    • I'd hope for no less than a full 4k 60FPS Docked for a native BOTW/TOTK port.  The hardware should be more than beefy enough. Totally agreed.  1080p on an 8 inch screen is a complete waste of battery life and BOM cost IMO.  You literally won't see any difference from the current 720p screen (and it'll actually be a visual downgrade going from OLED to LCD to boot), since the PPI is more than high enough already. Bad decision on Nintendo's part if true.
    • Absolutely.  I'd take a second screen over better graphics and performance any day of the week. Maybe Nintendo could allow people to hook up another Switch/Switch 2 to act as a second screen in appropriate games? I mean, Pacman VS works perfectly fine in Namco Museum Switch; it can be done!
    • I'll just have to speedrun everything hardcore if Switch 2 comes out in November then
    • I personally think expecting anything more then this for the vast majority of games is setting yourself up for disappointment. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a good example. That will almost certainly run better through sheer brute force, but games that are hard coded to run at 30 frames aren't going to magically become 60. EDIT: Ah right, @Julius. Probably should clarify. Smash Ultimate already has an online arena. It lets up to 8 people get into one room, the host sets the rules, and people queue up to rotate into matches. People queueing up can even spectate. (Or sit in the "spectator stands" to only spectate matches). It's quite robust, but it only allows one person per console, which is my biggest beef with it.
