Opening sequence was showing off for the first time as part of yesterday's MGS Legacy Series Part 4, with Kyle Cooper confirmed to be returning to create the sequence. Cynthia Harrell has re-recorded Snake Eater, but a number of people have pointed out that she sounds auto-tuned in places? So, visually, I think it looks stunning. I also think it shows a damn lot more than the original opening. And I probably prefer the original. It feels like it's serving people who have enjoyed the original more as a bit of fan service, but I'm curious if it's just one of those anime/Yakuza opening situations where newcomers are going to be totally oblivious until they rewatch it after rolling credits? I certainly hope so, because I've got a friend who will be popping into this as his first MGS, and it'd suck to get it spoiled. Bit annoying because now I need to not mention/draw attention to the opening... -
They'll probably replace the DK mascot and put the old one's head on a spike. -
A while back I did speak about starting a new thread a day or two before (and including a link to this) so that the thread is actually about the console rather than the build up and you have to go through 30+ pages. Are people in support of that? -

Decided to try and get these again after attempting to play some of Trails in the Sky and Cold Steel 1 previously. As my Switch 2 is quickly becoming a little rpg machine and the only console I have physical media before I thought I’d try and get them all there. I know not all have been released on Switch but I’m hopeful that with the remake of 1 coming they will be eventually. I've probably got enough to play to keep me busy until September when the first remake comes out but if I still feel the urge to play the series sooner then I may start with Zero. Unless any fans are adamant that I wait? I was also tempted to get some Ys titles, maybe starting with VIII but I think I need to limit it to one long running series for now! -
Super Nintendo World at the Orlando site is now officially open! Wonder if they'll do anything cool on/around the Switch 2 launch at these parks?
