Iun
Hurt by Nine Inch Nails. But it's the Johnny Cash cover that really gets me. Isn't that the one he recorded before he died? That's a pretty moving piece of performance right there.
Nolan
Yup. I just find it really odd to think of a legend like Cash covering one of Trent's songs.
jayseven
I do love hurt, but in an effort to keep the thread going; Finger Eleven - One Thing Wood - Stay You (a veronica mars vid. Lovely song) These are very much songs I loved when I was 14. Never got me laid. Sigh.
Eenuh
Yup. I just find it really odd to think of a legend like Cash covering one of Trent's songs. I actually tried to request this song on the radio yesterday because I love it so much. They ignored my request. =( *listens to it now* Also, a song I find beautiful is Bird Gerhl by Antony and the Johnsons. Even though it's not my most favourite song by them, in my head it just has a special meaning, as I associate it with my grandmother. I started listening to this song around the time she passed away, so now I always think of her when I hear it.

Charlie
Say It's Not True - Queen + Paul Rodgers. Fantastic song. No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young) - Queen Recorded after Freddie had died, Queen's only true masterpiece without him in my opinion (apart from Say It's Not True). Ashley
I do love hurt, but in an effort to keep the thread going; Finger Eleven - One Thing Wood - Stay You (a veronica mars vid. Lovely song) These are very much songs I loved when I was 14. Never got me laid. Sigh. One Thing is quite awesome. That song was okay. Annoys me when vidders put lines into the vid, so rarely done well. But at least that was during musical interludes. Suprised they didn't conclude with a marshmallow line though. As far as myself lately its been; Daft Punk - Something About Us If im in a pessimistic mood (pessimisticish at least) or Digital Love if im in an optimistic mood. The Perishers - Sway Because love and hurt ultimately intertwine. (and chosea VM vid because the official one is kinda dull). And lots more but two seems to be the way around here. nightwolf
Fields of Gold - Eva Cassidy Always puts a smile on my face, even though really it should be a sad song, it reminds me of somebody important. gaggle64
I know it's a spoofy comedy song, but I can't disagree - it really has gotta be all about the funky sexy ladies. Ladies of the World - Flight of the Conchords

Roostophe
Morning Theft by Jeff Buckley is one that immediately springs to my mind. It is my fav Buckley song, after all. I adore the bit that begins at 1:55. But I do adore the bit before it, it's rather lovely. It really is! There's also this one J-Pop song that I find rather beautiful, but I wouldn't have ever given it a listen had it not been for its excellent use in an anime. Despite that its lyrics are in English but they hardly make any sense. Which is a total shame.
Paj!
The Music Thread would encompass this entire thread wellenough. Beautiful music can be the most powerful tpe of music, but it's a very vague term. However, I have been as heartbroken by the prescence of a song than by the a cappellaLlorando in Mulholland Drive, by Rebekah Del Rio. However, the film needs to be watched with the song in it, so I won't post it.
