Bump! Started this yesterday as @Fierce_LiNk bought it recently. Thought I would give it a try as it seemed quite funky from videos we had seen. I have to say that the controls (well the aiming mostly) are hard to get used to on the PS4. I am slowly getting the hang of it (am on chapter 6 now I think), but the aiming still throws me off. Using the right stick just doesn't work very well, so I usually end up having to use the touchpad, which obviously isn't great for quick targeting heh. :P Apart from that, I am enjoying the game! It can be frustrating when you have to replay a level for the 12th time or something, then you think you've done it and you die on the last guy. But the quick restart makes it so you'll just have another go. And another. And maybe another again. I don't like using the guns much, my weapon of choice right now is the samurai sword haha. Or throwing weapons at people. Or luring them out of a room by quickly going in and out of the room, then just beat them/slash them when they come looking for you. It's a good thing that this game has a pixelated art style, otherwise I would feel bad for all the blood and body parts everywhere. :P

Breaking: Birmingham's sassiest resident turns a quarter century old

Happy birthday Animal! Sounds like you had a nice day with the family. -
A bit late to the party, but I finished Infamous: Second Son and the DLC First Light. I really enjoyed both of them, getting all those different powers and finding out which one works best for you (I liked using invisibility for the Video power most haha). The characters in this game are great and are portrayed very well, the animation on them is great too and it just works. The game has a good sense of humour too, gave me a few chuckles. And made me feel sad at the ending (both the main game and the DLC). The graphics look great and the environment is just fun to roam through, especially with the faster powers. It was also great to discover that they actually put real life Seattle stores in the game too, made it seem that more real. Played through it on Good Karma, not sure I will ever get around to going the Evil route. Though I did pick up a few Evil trophies after finishing the game, just because my Karma level didn't matter then anyway. Plus it was kinda fun beating up street musicians and activists. :P Games played/finished in 2015 Bayonetta Hyrule Warriors Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U Valiant Hearts Dust: An Elysian Tail Velocity 2X Rogue Legacy Cities:Skylines Bayonetta 2 Never Alone Fez Guacamelee The Unfinished Swan Super Exploding Zoo Infamous: Second Son Infamous: First Light

That top 10 list does say that it is for the first day of E3. As most of the announcements hadn't been made yet until after that, maybe that explains the weird choice of games?

I am quite excited about this! Good to see them finally going ahead with this game, it has been too long. I wonder if I will get to play 1 & 2 somehow before this one gets released though. I only ever played 1 and that was years ago, so would love to play it again somehow, but doubt it will happen as we don't own the games. Love that theme music though, mmmm. Also for those discussing the funds, this is what the FAQ says on their Kickstarter page:

I agree with the overall sentiment that this looks really interesting! Liked what I saw in the trailer and want to find out more. Will definitely keep an eye on this.

I don't really get why some people keep bringing up games like COD and AC and whatever and saying it is shit how they are released yearly. The thing is, no one is forcing you to buy them or even to pay attention to them. If you don't like them, ignore them. There is plenty of other stuff out there that might be worth your attention. I can only speak in regards to the PS4 now, but there are a lot more games on there than just COD and AC (even though I did play AC:Black Flag and really enjoyed it). Also, why does it matter that Sony aren't releasing that many first party games? I don't see the point in arguing over first party, as that is not what defines a console. It's about the overall gaming experience you can get, not just about a few games that were released first party. I have been playing more games than I have in years because of the PS4, and most of those games are third party/indie games. The only game I have really played on Wii U this year was Bayonetta 2 (great game, but I need more games!). Even my 3DS hasn't seen much love this year, as there simply aren't enough games out that interest me. A lot of it will come down to what your interests are I guess. If you like what Nintendo has shown at this E3, then great! You will have something to look forward to! But I am quite disappointed by their showing this year and can't say I am really looking forward to anything other than FE (not even the Zelda 3DS game seemed interesting, even though I loooove Zelda games). I do hope they can turn things around in the future, but I think I will be more cautious in buying their consoles, at least until I know there are at least a few games coming that I really want. The Wii U has disappointed me too much to invest in a Nintendo console again straight away.

I never got to play ICO or SotC (well I tried SotC once but couldn't get into it because of the controls, as I had never held a PS2 controller before), but they always seemed interesting. Wouldn't mind giving them a try today if I had the option. The Last Guardian really seems like my type of game: puzzles, slower paced, great character interactions... I can see myself liking this game already, so I am definitely looking forward to it.

I was thinking that! You could see the nervousness drip off him, bless him. Full of passion and so happy to finally be at E3, awww. The game looks really nice, interested to see more of it in the future.

I started an account on this a few days ago... I feel like such a noob haha. I managed to win a few matches online (more than I lost so that is something I guess), but I haven't even earned all the basic cards yet for all the classes. And fighting the experts in practice mode is often quite hard. >.>;

Watched it as well tonight, thought it was quite good. Very interested to see what will happen next. Really like the creepy, dark side to it. The ads for this got me interested beforehand, especially the very first ad they put out, where it genuinely looked as an ad for a synthetic (it made me look up online what this was about, as it didn't say it was for a tv show yet then). Thought it was well done, especially when they made the ad a bit longer to show a more darker side.

Thought this was quite funny and very well made.

I'm on a rolllll. Just finished another game haha. Decided to try Super Exploding Zoo as it was just sitting there on the home screen. I tried looking stuff up about it online but couldn't find much, so decided to just go for it without knowing anything about it. It is a weird game, basically you control animals. Animals that explode. And you have to defend an egg from being eaten by aliens... by making your animals explode into the aliens. :P It's a puzzle game (though very action based I guess) with 80 levels to go through. Some can be really easy, some will take a bit longer to figure out (especially where your animals are limited and the aliens keep spawning if you don't deal with them the right way). And the animals have different abilities so you can't just charge them all into the aliens, you might need some to open hatches or create bridges. It's created by Honeyslug, who also did Hohokum. Completely different type of game though. I wouldn't expect too much, but I had fun playing it, love myself an addictive puzzle game. I've played a bit more recently (with a break in between when I went to Belgium). After finishing Fez, I decided to try and get all the cubes in the game. Managed to do it, but man was it hard at times! But yay, 100% on this game! Just too bad you don't get a platinum trophy for it, darnit. :P I played Guacamelee after Fez, decided to try it out after people had mentioned it on here. Really enjoyed the game, the art style is nice and fresh and the game has lots of great humour! I loved spotting game and film cameos, and internet memes! The game is great, though some of the platforming is very difficult (or maybe it is because I am not great at platforming games heh)! I would never be able to 100% this one like @RedShell did. :P I started The Unfinished Swan yesterday and finished it today. Short game, but very very sweet. I really liked the storybook style and the art throughout the entire game (both the storybook art and the actual in-game art) is just lovely. The controls could be a bit annoying at times with it being a first person game, but it never bothered me too much. The visuals just made me enjoy it too much. Really glad to have played it. Now to figure out what to play next! Luckily the baby will be too young to understand it. For now. :P

Bought two dresses today, yay!

My sister asked me if I wanted a little project while visiting Belgium this week. This little project turned out being a bit big: she wanted me to paint fairytale characters on my niece's door. I spent a few days creating the actual image on my laptop, and yesterday I painted it on the door (using a projector, an acrylic paint marker and lots of patience!). Managed to get it done in 1 afternoon/evening, yay! Here is me putting on the finishing touches. Here is the finished result (colour is supposed to be a dark turquoise kind of colour). Which fairytales can you spot?: And here is the little princess who will be sleeping in this room:

And yet I can watch the BBC and its other channels perfectly fine on my Belgian television... But I'm not allowed to watch BBC iPlayer when abroad (even though I do pay a UK license fee).

I think Russia and Serbia will do well, possibly Georgia too. I'm happy Belgium managed to get through though! They kept it tense as we were announced last, phew. I kinda like our song; hadn't heard it before but it has grown on me already, quite nice and modern.

I think we have had that happen once or twice. We just restarted the console and it was fine then.

I got two more games to add to my list. The first one is Never Alone which I played together with @Fierce_LiNk. Nice little game, lovely visuals. We just played it in one go one night; I loved playing as the little fox, so cute! Happy we got this game for free as otherwise I don't think we would've tried it. Another game which I finished today is Fez. Such a weird game, but very enjoyable! It took me a bit of time to get into it and to know what I was doing, and I do have to admit that I had to look some stuff up (deciphering the direction and number code for example was something I wouldn't have gotten if I hadn't read about it). It is a tough little game at times, with the puzzles requiring some thinking. But once you know what you are doing, it goes a lot quicker. The visuals are great and old school, the music is nice and the game mechanics are just very clever. Might play more of this on an NG+ to get extra stuff, unless I start playing something else like Guacamelee. I also started playing 999 a while ago but have that on hold, will probably play a bit more of that next week. I've had a few goes at this game; mannnn do I suck at it haha. It is fun though, but I am awful. :P I had one fluke game where I scored 2 or 3 goals, but most other games have seen me failing miserably, barely even touching the ball. Think I need more practice haha.

Those look nice @Cube (apart from that mushroom poking out, don't like mushrooms :P ). I made a Flemish beef stew yesterday to have it with my Dutch friends. Only the third time I've made it so I was a bit cautious about making it, but I think it turned out alright. Jim is eating some of it now and enjoying it. It takes bloody ages to make though, this one took me about 4 hours as there was more than 1kg of meat! It is usually served with chips and apple sauce, mmmm. Doesn't look appetising in this picture but I can assure you that it really is!

Well I am not even allowed to vote in this country so it doesn't matter what I think or whether or not I approve of an MP's actions. :P I know I disagree with some of the current MP's ideas, but even if I told him about it, that is not going to change his views (as I have no say in anything).
