  1. What code did you use to get the discount? Also, tested it yet? Any good? I might buy this for my dad's birthday, he might be able to use this when he goes to festivals or something. =P
  2. No doesn't look like it will have face plates. You can even tell from the picture of the device. You can see that the regular one has the ridge/line near the camera where the face plate would go, the XL doesn't have that.
  3. I like the cover plates! Too bad that is not available for the XL version though. =( Not sure if I would upgrade, it might depend on the games that come out and the money I have. Never upgraded to the XL, so this might be worth it, maybe.
  4. 6 years here in less than two weeks. Now I feel ooooold. =P
  5. This is probably the first open world type game I have played so it feels very liberating I guess haha. I can do whatever I want. =P Plus I have always liked pirate type games so this hits the right spot. I played hoursss of Pirates! on the NES so this feels like a really advanced version of that haha. Not even sure what my usual tastes are, only ever had Nintendo consoles (and a few PC games). "Recent" games I played were Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Wind Waker HD, Fire Emblem: Awakening. And I played Strider on the PS4 before playing AC. But yeah not sure what it is, it is my first proper "next generation" game/PS4 game, I am loving the visuals with all the lovely scenery, love sailing my ship around and plundering other ships, love the "parkour" aspect of the game of just climbing onto absolutely everything and then jumping down to kill people. It took me a bit of time to get used to the controls and the fighting, but I enjoy it and look forward to playing more in the next few days. I am barely even touching the main mission as I enjoy going around just exploring and doing side missions. =)
  6. Don't have those yet, can see them being interesting to use though. =D Yeah I managed to find the first treasure fine (well, after lots of walking around in the same spot), but my second one I just couldn't find. Will have to try again with some other maps and see how I do.
  7. What, you didn't already know that I was? =P I am still very much into this game, have the pirate fever! I have mostly ignored the main story I guess and gone for side quests and just random assassination/plundering sprees. Love doing the different assassinations like jumping on top of them from above or running up to them and knifing them down. =D Also, the battles with the ships are great! I have been slowly upgrading my ship so I can attack the bigger ones, love using mortars haha. Captured 3 frigates yesterday as well and started Kenway's Fleet, which I can see as being very addictive. Been using the app today, just need to figure out how to actually get the money in the game now. =) Also, with the treasure maps, is there any trick to finding the actual treasure? I went to one of the locations it indicated (used the co-ordinates) and just couldn't find the treasure. Weird.
  8. I thought it was just me having issues with the stick! My left thumb keeps slipping off, which is quite annoying when you are chasing someone/running away in Assassin's Creed. Might need to get these grips!
  9. Oooooh you are such a liar! You told me I should play the game, I never suggested it myself, pffff. Plus you have had all Summer to play games, now is my turn. =P I pretty much spent all day playing this. Done most of the side missions in Havana and have made my way to Nassau. This is the first time I am playing a game like this so it is all very new, but I am enjoying it. =D
  10. Only started paying attention to this after seeing the Foo Fighters one, that one was brilliant! And @Goafer, that video is great, shows what this is actually for and I hope lots of people watch it. Here is a compilation of how the challenge shouldn't be done. Enjoy. =P
  11. Whooo, bought Eurostar (and National Coach) tickets for Jim and I to go to Belgium over Christmas! Didn't get to go last year so looking forward to it, plus it will be Jim's first time having Christmas at my family's place. =D Can't wait!
  12. Hooray, good news all around! Well done guys! I got some good news too, got offered a full-time contract today at my job, yay! Haven't signed the contract yet but imagine that will happen tomorrow/next week. Not that it really changes anything as I was already working full-time (as overtime) and I will still be on a poor man's pay (about £850 per month, boooh). It's a good thing I love this job. =P
  13. No idea about these trolls, but I read some comments before from other people going "If you had been there for him and supported him, he wouldn't have killed himself. You are a horrible person for not supporting your depressed father." But of course littered with insults, swear words and rudeness. Some people should just be banned from the internet... or from life altogether. =(
  14. Happy birthday!
  15. I told you there would be one there haha. What with all the spores, you just knew it was coming (even though we didn't even catch a glimpse of it, somehow)!
  16. I hope there will be a demo for this game, as I am not sure yet whether I want it or not. Never played a game in the series so not sure if I would enjoy this type of game. Looks nice, but I don't want to waste money if I don't like the gameplay...
  17. No matter how much Jim tries, they will never get me to drink tea! =P
  18. If you are not happy living in the UK, and your family all live abroad, then I don't see any reason why you could not move away yourself. Not much that is keeping you here (apart from your other half maybe?), so I think in your head you have already kind of made that click that you want to move away. I moved from Belgium to the UK almost 2.5 years ago now. Didn't particularly want to leave Belgium and I still miss it, but you get used to living somewhere else I think. =) The way I did it was I came over for a week or two in December so Jim and I could look for a flat (he was still house sharing with some friends). We managed to find a flat during that time, I went back home and Jim moved into the flat in February. I got all my shit sorted in Belgium (packing all my things, getting paperwork done to legally declare that I was moving etc.) and moved to the UK on March 2. Came in a van with my parents with all my stuff. =P I started looking for jobs straight away but couldn't find much, though in April I got offered a job in a call centre and took it. Luckily I got to leave that place a few months ago haha. Anyway, I think for me the hardest part at first was the fact I missed my family a lot, but it is something you get used to. You might already be used to this anyway as your family lives somewhere else so that might make it easier. Also, knowing the language of the country will help too, so that might be something you have to consider as well. As for friends and socialising, that might come with the job and will depend on how social you are. I don't really have many friends here but then again I am not very sociable (and currently work with only 2 other people haha), plus it seems Jim and I just like spending time at home playing games and watching tv so it suits us fine I guess. =P I guess you just have to make yourself a nice list of pros and cons and see what you can come up with for each side. =)
  19. Ok, so we are planning to buy a tablet, not for us, but for Jim's Mum as she is mostly home alone with not much to do. She has no laptop and only an old phone, so we think she could do with a tablet so she can go on the internet and play some basic games. She used to play Brain Training on a DS, so those type of games might be good for her. Now we were wondering what tablet would be good to buy for her? It would preferably need a big screen so she can see things well on the screen. It needs to be easy to operate, especially as she has never had anything like this before. Never used a laptop for example. So the easier, the better (we will probably set it up for her beforehand, but we won't be around to help her with it all the time). So big screen, easy to work with, needs to have some decent app/game support (maybe Android based?), and of course not cost an arm and a leg as Jim and I don't have that much money floating around. =P What brands should we look at? I know of the Nexus 7 and 10, but not sure how easy they are to use for an older person. What else is on the market that is good and affordable?
  20. Jim and I have been in Spain for two weeks now and it has been lovely. We have done absolutely nothing, and it has been great haha. Two weeks of sitting in the sun, lazing about and having nice food, yes please! We are returning to the UK tomorrow (nooooo!), but I can't wait to come back to Calpe, hopefully next year. =)
  21. This gets funnier the more I watch it. =P
  22. I shouldn't have said anything about my teeth... cause it happened again. =( The tooth I had filled twice last month, had part of the filling come out yesterday. It makes me want to cry, I don't know what to do anymore with my stupid teeth. I am on holiday now so I can't even get it fixed, but I bet that if I do go to the dentist, she will just suggest to pull out the tooth... Which would make it the second one they pull then. I don't know what is going on but I have never had this many problems until I moved to the UK. =(
  23. Did the letter say anything about the severity of cell change? It is very likely that it is nothing at all, cell changes happen. Most of the time nothing is actually wrong, or it is just an infection. She might have to have a new test done in a while to see if things have settled back to normal. This page might give some more information: http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Cancerinformation/Testsscreening/Cervicalscreening/Abnormaltestresults.aspx
