  1. Looking good! Though the first picture does make it look like you are about to use deadly laser eyes on the person taking the picture. :P By the way, was that a wedding located in/near Bournemouth? Nice location? If so, where is it? :P (need to find some good locations for our wedding haha.)
  2. Yeah I think postage would be a bitch haha. I would recommended switching to Olympic, especially if you go for the rubber ones; very much worth it. We have the bumper ones and Jim loves them. Now we just need a house with a room/garage we can convert into our own little gym. :P
  3. We have some weights we want to get rid of if you need any. :P And I agree on the house... they are just too damn expensive here though. Just did one of those "How much can you borrow" calculators and it seems we can't even get enough money for an average/not so great 2-3 bed house here. :'(
  4. Hope everything goes ok with the operation, good luck tomorrow!
  5. I actually have, though a tiny bit different. Someone in my class saying they don't believe dinosaurs were real and that God put the fossils there to test our faith... Religious people will not be put off by us finding life somewhere else, they will just put their own spin on it to fit their religion.
  6. It doesn't get rid of a card, it places it back in your hand so you can use it (again). Like Magnus said, really useful when your opponent has placed a spy on your board, so you can then use it.
  7. Found two references to pop culture today that made me laugh. One was a prostitute saying "It's a material world. And I am a material girl.". Thanks Madonna. Another was one of the books you can read, which talked about a woman (Isabella) who was in love with both a vampire (Edward) and a werewolf and couldn't decide between either. It was written like some kind of erotic novel, and ended with the woman claiming to be with child. Twilight, hooray. :P There might be more, might have forgotten them or not run into them yet though.
  8. I have been kind of addicted to this game. There is so much to do! I have only just made it to Novigrad to go and meet Triss for the first time, however I just keep getting distracted by sidequests and questions marks along the way haha. Cleared everything in White Orchard and most stuff in Velen (at least the things I could do at level 14, some enemies are too strong still), looking forward to whatever is going to follow. I've seen bits and pieces already from when Jim played of course, but it is still great to get to do it myself now. Also, after finishing the Bloody Baron quest and looking it up online, there seem to be 2 main ways in which that quest unfolds, however I managed to somehow get a different ending as those 2!
  9. I'm enjoying the game very much, so much to do! Did part of the Bloody Baron quest yesterday, however there seems to be lots more to do in that one still. Very long quest! But I enjoy it. Also met Keira yesterday and am doing some quest with her right now. Not had the option yet to sleep with her, but I think I might save myself and become a one woman witcher... maybe. :P
  10. I haven't really checked how long our pads last, but it will be a few hours at least. But we usually just plug it into a wall socket with a phone charger when the battery gets low and then just keep playing, no need to swap out for the other controller (though that has happened occasionally as well when our chargers aren't near us).
  11. It makes for really long days; we only just finished our dinner! D: I've started lifting again too. Am on poverty weights haha. Do cardio (cross trainer) on the days where we are not lifting. Need to shed the weight! If anyone has tips for weight loss, feel free to share! I currently wait to eat until noon, when I usually have some toast or sometimes a salad, then a yogurt for a snack and whatever is for dinner (usually involves chicken and rice in some form).
  12. It might be long-term, but it takes away a lot of the hassle of the pill. Taking the pill can be stressful, because it is not 100% safe and has a lot of side effects. If you forget the pill once, or you become ill (throwing up/diarrhea), then you run a risk of becoming pregnant. You don't have to worry about anything when you take the implant. It is just less worry than having to remember to take the pill. Especially if they like going out and getting drunk, then it might be easy to forget the pill or become ill. It just makes sense to switch to an implant then. The implant can be stopped at any time too. All she has to do is walk into the GP and the nurse can take it out. Maybe for her having to deal with the stress of the pill and the side effects is too annoying. The implant is hassle-free. We shouldn't be judging her for her decision to get an implant, because we don't know the reasoning behind it. Maybe it really is just to get rid of the hassle for now and she will get rid of it again when they decide to have kids. It is up to Murr and her to have a talk about where they see their future and when they think they might have kids. No point jumping to conclusions about her reasoning for getting it.
  13. I think all of you guys are overreacting... How on earth is an implant a big decision? It is the same as taking the pill, or using a condom. Nothing big about it. The only difference is that she now doesn't have to worry about taking a pill every day at the same time. It takes away a lot of stress. Plus the NHS likes to push the implant on people because it is cheaper than the pill (but only if you want it of course, because there are side effects too). There is nothing wrong with her going for this, it can be taken out at any time she wants, so it doesn't affect her ability to have kids whenever you are both ready for it. I don't think it is something that she should have discussed beforehand because it is really not as big a thing as you all make it out to be. Now if she had gone and had her ovaries/uterus removed, that would have been a different matter... But you guys are all acting like that is exactly what she did. :/ Saying that she doesn't respect Murr because she did this is ridiculous. I contemplated the implant instead of the pill, and didn't consult with Fierce_LiNk about this. Why should I? He shouldn't have to care about how I stay childless for now, as long as it works and can be reversed. That is probably her way of thinking too. Don't make a tiny molehill into a giant mountain.
  14. Because @Fierce_LiNk kept pestering me about it and I currently had no other big game to play, I have finally started this game. I have no idea yet what I am doing. :P
  15. You will enjoy it Rummy. What game(s) did you go with in the end? Also, we get our PS Plus from CDkeys. If you like their FaceBook page, you get a further 5% off I think. Plus it is a download code so you get it straight away.
  16. I got a Platinum for Rocket League tonight, whoooo! Now I can finally add it to my games list, even though I'm sure I'll still be playing it for a while to come.
  17. I got it! I got it at exactly 80km I think. Didn't even register that I got it until Jim pointed it out to me, thought it was just a random notification of someone coming online or the battery being low or something. :P But yayyyy, my second Platinum!
  18. Yeah I know I am probably weird for disliking the narrator, but it just felt like I was missing stuff as I found it hard to focus on both combat and narration at the same time. That's just a personal thing though. I do think I preferred Transistor, just seemed to work better for me I think. Plus the music in that is really nice and I enjoyed the story.
  19. That's the only trophy I still need... Am only at about 73km right now.
  20. Someone made a documentary-style video based on some of the animals in GTAV. This is pretty cool, and actually does sound/look like all those nature documentaries on tv. Apart from the animals clearly not being real. :P
  21. I managed to play a few more short games during the last few weeks, so time to update my list! First up is Bastion. Been wanting to try this after liking Transistor. The art style is nice and the music is good. The gameplay was ok, but there was something about the game that just didn't seem to click with me. I think it might have been the constant narrating that kinda put me off. See when someone talks in a game, I like to read the subtitles to know what they are saying, as I sometimes find it hard to concentrate and listen otherwise. But in this game, the narrating happens while you are battling monsters, so I felt there was no time to read the subtitles or properly listen to the story, which bothered me. That, and the guy's voice just sounded annoying. :P Other than that though, it was a decent game. Next one is LIMBO. I had started a demo of this a while ago on my Steam account, but never bought the game at the time. Good thing I didn't as now I got to play it for free, yay! It's a very dark game, both in art style and content. Really like the graphics for this, very moody. The deaths can be horrible though, and made me feel bad for this boy. Though after a while you stop caring when you die again and again and again. :P The game was good and quite difficult at times, made me have to use a walkthrough for certain puzzles. Just don't have the patience anymore sometimes to figure stuff out, oops. Definitely worth a try if you like puzzle-platformers (is that the right genre? I don't know!). After that I started Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, after @Fierce_LiNk recommended it. Think I finished it in two sittings, so it's not a very long game, but I enjoyed it. It felt quite relaxing to just walk around and look at the pretty views and listen to the birds and stuff. This game won't be for everyone, as it really is just a story where you occasionally tap a button, but if you are prepared for that, then this is really nice. The visuals in this are amazing I think, and the music is really lovely. I enjoyed trying to find all the story/sound bits (though it seems I missed a few important ones). It's nice to see the story unravel itself. Needed to find a new game to play, so decided to put on Sound Shapes, knowing nothing about it. Ended up very much enjoying this! The music is great, especially the levels done by Beck! I have even been listening to some of those songs on Youtube haha. Especially love this one, very trippy: Today I finished Escape Plan. Another game I started without knowing much about it, though the title does pretty much explain what it is about. :P Thought this was quite enjoyable actually. Good puzzles, some humour in the game too. And like LIMBO, they like killing the characters in as many ways as possible. Also, this game has some of the longest credits ever! Seriously took ages to reach the end of the credits. Now I need to find another game to play through, hmmm.
  22. Looks like an amazing weekend! Laughed watching the Ninja video and some of the pictures. Hopefully we can make it next year as well.
  23. I wouldn't bother with Alien if you don't like tense first person games and aren't a massive fan of the films. You probably wouldn't enjoy it. Infamous I think is a great game to start with. So is Tomb Raider though, would recommend it as a great game to start with or play after Infamous.
  24. I agree with Tomb Raider, I really enjoyed that game even though I wasn't sure it would be my type of game (normally don't go for "dark" and "gritty" like games). Definitely worth playing I think. Also, if you like the Lord of the Rings universe, have a look at Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Open world game, but uses a great nemesis system (taking out certain enemies will make others rise in rank etc.). And yes I loved AC: Black Flag, but it was the first open world game I played so maybe I am biased haha. Oh also, I loved Infamous: Second Son. The visuals for that are beautiful and very colourful, I think you might like that! And it was just a great game I thought.
  25. Thanks for the lovely messages everyone! Still doesn't seem real haha!
