I just noticed something a few seconds ago. It's probably been mentioned already, but I must have missed it. If you hover over a thread title long enough, it displays the opening post of that thread in a mini-view. You even have the option to go to the latest post in that thread. That's brilliant. Cute. Much wow.

We go to Belgium quite regularly to see @Eenuh's family. I never really count that as a holiday because...it isn't really. We tend to go to Spain during the summer time. I've always fancied going to Italy. When I was younger, I used to be obsessed with Italian football and used to get up every Saturday morning early to get some cereal and watch Gazzetta Football Italia. I learned about all of these lovely places in Italy thanks to that show and football. It would be quite cool to go to Japan one day. The problem is that due to work, I'm restricted to only being able to travel at certain times of the year. A.k.a. the most expensive times. Japan is on the list. Maybe some South American places like Argentina, too. I've got a teacher friend who goes away every half term to a new destination. It's crazy. I haven't got the energy to do that!

This is definitely the best United squad that we've had post-Ferguson. The spine of the team looks strong. I'm really keen to see a Matic-Herrera-Pogba midfield working. Mkhi was fantastic yesterday, too! I do think that the defence needs strengthening, though. Bailly and De Gea will be playing every game, as will Valencia at right back. But, left back and someone to partner Bailly are the two areas for strengthening. Right back too if you want a proper one there. Hope that the new guy Victor Lindelof settles in quickly. He looked terrible in preseason.

Capcom? I remember them!

Excellent performance from United yesterday. Matic looked superb yesterday in midfield. Hardly lost the ball, went on a few mazy run here and there and just blocked everything from getting to our back four. Phil Jones had nothing to do all game as Bailly, Matic and Pogba just shielded everything. Rashford looked fantastic on the wing, but he should have scored at least two yesterday. His finishing has to improve. No complaints at all. Hard to say who my Man of the Match was. If he could finish, then it would have been Rashford. But, I think Matic probably just about edges it for me. Insane how Chelsea have let him go.

What are the biggest improvements that you've seen? What's different now to last year for you? I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

Insane game. Every time I seemed to check the score on BBC Sport, it was another goal. Hope we get a high-scoring season. Fuck defending!

If Liverpool/Klopp manage the situation, they can still keep Coutinho and he can still have a positive influence on the team. They would no doubt have to pander to him and the club would have to bring in other top players to show him that Liverpool can succeed and potentially win things. If Liverpool do want to move him on, they can make a killing out of him if they hold out for a bit longer. This does demonstrate the importance of bringing players into the club early on in the window. Salah is a good signing but Liverpool need more. They need to be attracting bigger names or start challenging for honours if they want to keep their best players. We've managed to fend off Real Madrid's pursuit of De Gea for a while now because the club has been able to bring in big players.

Hmm, not sure what to make of that. It would be a major loss for Liverpool and for the Premier League. Obscene amount of money, yet again. The values are fucked. Hope Liverpool dig their heels in and keep him. Realistically, they'll just get shafted by other clubs when they attempt to sign a replacement for Coutinho. What would have cost £30million a week ago will suddenly cost £50 or even more. Are they going to be able to purchase a better player? Are there better players available in his position? The United fan in me wouldn't mind Liverpool losing Coutinho one bit. He's essential. The football fan in me hopes that Liverpool hold two fingers up to Barcelona and tell them to go elsewhere.

What's your point of origin? I'm downloading the update now. For all of the criticism regarding the launch and buildup to the game, Hello Games' post-game DLC has been great. I very much enjoyed participating in the ARG and you can see the lore of the game and its backstory coming together. Might give it a try later, but I have so much work to do and am off to Wales for the weekend. So, it may be better to just wait til Monday and start then. I definitely think and hope that there will be even more content added to the game. The pieces are starting to fall into place. Would be awesome to get more story content in the future.

It's annoying because it could actually be good. Lucio needs to be about 5 times faster than he is now and you should be able to barge/blast/knock other players out of the way. Also, maybe an option for 4 vs. 4? I don't think it would take much to make it a good mode. But, the only reason I played it yesterday was to get more loot boxes. After a few games, we pushed it to one side and just went back to playing QuickPlay. Game became more fun again.

Lucio Ball is basically as if somebody saw an image or a short video of what Rocket League was like, made a rip-off of it, but never actually played the proper game themselves. All the good things that made Rocket League fun aren't present here. For a start, Lucio is reaaaally fucking slow. It takes ages to get to the ball. Secondly, you can't actually knock the other players off the ball, so that whole element of "going around and barging people out of the way"/the physical side of Rocket League is gone. Thirdly, there's no variation to the gameplay, since you have very little movement and control over the ball. A shame, as this could have been great. Now, it's just a bad Rocket League.

Changing the diet will make all of the difference. Chocolate and biscuits are my weakness. So, I try and space out exactly when I eat them. Once you see the weight fall off, that's motivation in itself and it'll encourage you to keep going.

Episodes 2 and 3 are done. We had some weird glitches in episode 3. Something to do with Javi's backpack. It was causing all kinds of weird glitches for us, which was funny but also strange. The backpack developed these weird lines that stretched all the way across the screen, like the backpack was coming out of lightspeed.

So...Liverpool have just rejected a £90million offer for Coutinho. Don't blame them, tbh. If they do accept it, other clubs will just fleece them by demanding stupid offers for their players. Kinda like what's happening to Barcelona now.

We just got back from it and I pretty much agree with this word for word. Had I been 15 years younger, I probably would have enjoyed it. It felt very "empty" and aimed at the YouTube/Instagram teenager crowd. Also pretty bored of the American High School loser storyline by now. It's the type of film where they could reboot it (again) in another 5 years time, and I wouldn't care.

I'm excited about The Wolf Among Us. Can't wait for more of that. Reaaally enjoyed that game.

No. I don't really see the point in that. If you've already got Super Mario 64 or Luigi's Mansion, then you can just play that. I don't really see the sense in waiting for a Virtual Console release when you've already got it in your possession and can play it any time that you want. For free. There's a difference between that and, say, the possibility for a remake of a game that you've never played on a console that you may or may not have owned. I never had a PS3, so I waited for and then picked up The Last of Us: Remastered on release because it made sense to do so. If the game has a lot of work done to it and has some new content included, then I can see some sense in it. But, to be honest, the whole VC thing has been milked to death and I just actively avoid it now. Why re-live old memories when you can make new ones?

Started Season 3 yesterday.

The best part about the updates is looking at the patch notes to see what else they've added. If there's one thing that Hello Games has done well, it's that they've supported the game post-launch with some good updates, tweaks and additions. I'm all for something which aims to improve the story of the game! Not sure what exactly it could be, because it could be a huge range of things. Missions? Sidequests? A big main quest? NPCs? I dunno. We'll see first, then play, then judge.
-
Exactly. Learn a range of chords (e.g. the ones which "fit together") and that will help you with a huge variety of songs. Better than just trying to learn one song (like Wonderwall or something) directly and aiming to perfect that. It's the equivalent I think of learning "holiday phrases" when learning a language. You'll have far better long term success if you learn sentence structures, verbs, how to conjugate, adjectives, etc rather than just learning set phrases that only have one or two applications.

Man, fuck carpets. Best thing we did in this place was decide to get rid of all of them and go with laminate flooring. Not a carpet in sight. Floor feels cleaner that way.
