  1. What's your point of origin? I'm downloading the update now. For all of the criticism regarding the launch and buildup to the game, Hello Games' post-game DLC has been great. I very much enjoyed participating in the ARG and you can see the lore of the game and its backstory coming together. Might give it a try later, but I have so much work to do and am off to Wales for the weekend. So, it may be better to just wait til Monday and start then. I definitely think and hope that there will be even more content added to the game. The pieces are starting to fall into place. Would be awesome to get more story content in the future.
  2. Changing the diet will make all of the difference. Chocolate and biscuits are my weakness. So, I try and space out exactly when I eat them. Once you see the weight fall off, that's motivation in itself and it'll encourage you to keep going.
  3. Episodes 2 and 3 are done. We had some weird glitches in episode 3. Something to do with Javi's backpack. It was causing all kinds of weird glitches for us, which was funny but also strange. The backpack developed these weird lines that stretched all the way across the screen, like the backpack was coming out of lightspeed.
  4. So...Liverpool have just rejected a £90million offer for Coutinho. Don't blame them, tbh. If they do accept it, other clubs will just fleece them by demanding stupid offers for their players. Kinda like what's happening to Barcelona now.
  5. We just got back from it and I pretty much agree with this word for word. Had I been 15 years younger, I probably would have enjoyed it. It felt very "empty" and aimed at the YouTube/Instagram teenager crowd. Also pretty bored of the American High School loser storyline by now. It's the type of film where they could reboot it (again) in another 5 years time, and I wouldn't care.
  6. I'm excited about The Wolf Among Us. Can't wait for more of that. Reaaally enjoyed that game.
  7. No. I don't really see the point in that. If you've already got Super Mario 64 or Luigi's Mansion, then you can just play that. I don't really see the sense in waiting for a Virtual Console release when you've already got it in your possession and can play it any time that you want. For free. There's a difference between that and, say, the possibility for a remake of a game that you've never played on a console that you may or may not have owned. I never had a PS3, so I waited for and then picked up The Last of Us: Remastered on release because it made sense to do so. If the game has a lot of work done to it and has some new content included, then I can see some sense in it. But, to be honest, the whole VC thing has been milked to death and I just actively avoid it now. Why re-live old memories when you can make new ones?
  8. Started Season 3 yesterday.
  9. The best part about the updates is looking at the patch notes to see what else they've added. If there's one thing that Hello Games has done well, it's that they've supported the game post-launch with some good updates, tweaks and additions. I'm all for something which aims to improve the story of the game! Not sure what exactly it could be, because it could be a huge range of things. Missions? Sidequests? A big main quest? NPCs? I dunno. We'll see first, then play, then judge.
  10. Exactly. Learn a range of chords (e.g. the ones which "fit together") and that will help you with a huge variety of songs. Better than just trying to learn one song (like Wonderwall or something) directly and aiming to perfect that. It's the equivalent I think of learning "holiday phrases" when learning a language. You'll have far better long term success if you learn sentence structures, verbs, how to conjugate, adjectives, etc rather than just learning set phrases that only have one or two applications.
  11. Man, fuck carpets. Best thing we did in this place was decide to get rid of all of them and go with laminate flooring. Not a carpet in sight. Floor feels cleaner that way.
  12. Daaaaamn, that's all really tasty. I always wonder what kind of crazy gaming rooms that the people who collect these special editions have.
  13. I've actually been following and participating in the ARG. I signed up to it and received the codes with that disc wheel decoder, which I then had to solve. It's been quite fun! I've followed that Twitch feed with the mouse-maze, too. I've not played the game since before the foundation update. I was really into the game, then got sidetracked by something else. The updates look great! I was planning to jump in after the second one, but then I heard that the third one was going to be a big addition, so I thought I'd wait. I still listen to the soundtrack on Spotify. One of the best "gaming" soundtracks ever, imo. It's pretty much just a new 65Days album, but it's so good and fits the game. Looking forward to seeing what exactly 1.3 is. Time to jump back in, I think.
  14. The spoiler tag is the icon that looks like an eye. Click it, then add a heading. Then, just type into the box.
  15. I remember these puzzles. They start off ok but then some of the latter ones are just a bit bleeeeeeerugh. If it's the one that I'm thinking of, I had to listen reeeeally hard before I got it.
  16. Right, where to begin, eh? You're playing guitar to create and make music. That sounds obvious. So, you're going to need to learn the skills that will enable you to do so. Learn skills, not songs. If you learn how to play one song, that's good, but you'll only be able to play a limited selection. If you learn skills, you'll be able to play a huge range of songs in different styles. Then, you use those skills to learn other song. So, skills come first. Starting out is hard work. It's fucking repetitive, but so worth it when you stick to it. I'd start off by getting this app: Scales and Chords: Guitar Lite. I like it because it shows you the notes of a chord (e.g. it shows you where to play your fingers for a C Major and it also tells you which notes you are playing. In this case, CEG (or CEGCE if you're looking at all of the strings that you've fretted). You can then use the app to teach you all the variations of C. E.g. C Minor. The app also contains different forms of scales and the diagrams make it really clear to use. Truth is, you can find lots of other apps like it, too. There's a lot out there. Next, I bought this book. If the link doesn't work, it's for the chord wheel. It's extremely useful in teaching you how songs are formed and how to link chords together. It also teaches you about "keys". Brilliant resource. On reading music: I was never taught how to read music, so I've mostly stuck with tab throughout my time. I'm going to make an effort now to learn how to read music, because I feel that it may be useful. It's a completely different skillset though and it is essentially like learning another language. I've always found guitar tab very easy to read and I've never been in a position to "need" to learn how to read guitar music. Also, practise your barre chords. They can be especially frustrating and take a lot of time to get right. But, the benefits outweigh the negatives. I'm trying to get back into music. We're planning to convert the second/spare bedroom into a guest room/music room. Currently, my guitars are in there but I don't have any real space to practise without having to bring all of the equipment downstairs and then back up again when I've finished. When that room is sorted, I'm going to dedicate a bit of time each day trying to improve. There's tons of videos on youtube of people who can answer specific questions or who can show you how to play certain chords. It's down to your preferences with which ones you find useful. I've watched JustinGuitar before on YouTube and there's a fair bit of content there. Worth having a look at, for sure. With your chords, it's just going to take time, particularly with switching between each one and then also remembering the fingering positions. You will get better if you stick with it. Sometimes I used to just get the finger positions for a particular chord, strum and then remember what that chord sounded like. Each time I'd play that chord, I'd try and get it to sound identical each time, for consistency. I'd go reeeally slooow between two different chords and gradually build up the speed. Sometimes it can be suicidal trying to playing along to a song that you already know because the temptation there is to play it at full speed straight away, which can then lead to sloppiness and bad technique. Far better to go slow and then build it up.
  17. I'll be 100% watching this due to how hilarious the first film was. Josh Brolin is a quality actor and I'm sure he'll look and be great in the final film.
  18. The cage that I bought has been a superb purchase. Really can't fault it. Love being able to do lat pulldowns again and I've been using the pulley system for a lot of accessory work. Highly recommended if anyone here ever fancies going down the "home gym" route.
  19. Looking forward to that a lot. One of the best games that I've played this year. Hope that they make more expansions/DLC for it as I really like the world that they've built.
  20. I'm both delighted and amazed that Chelsea have sold Matic to us. We really needed someone whose sole job it was to just sit in front of the back four and do the messy jobs in midfield. A midfield of Matic, Herrera and Pogba looks fantastic to me. We've needed a player like this for years. Conte seems to be going for a smaller squad, for sure. It works if your best 11-15 players stay fit for the entire season. I'm not sure if Morata is going to work or not in his system. You could almost argue that both United and Chelsea have got their opposite club's ideal strikers.
  21. We finished the show a few days ago:
