  1. I ate terribly (no regreeeeettttts) on our holiday and now I'm aiming to get back into shape. I had a shitty cough/chest infection before we left the UK and that hampered my exercise schedule. Back on it now though. Feels good.
  2. I'm still at the point where 3D printers just blow my mind. Would love to learn more about them or find some application or usage for them in my life.
  3. I think I'm actually finally understanding/making some sense out of Dutch word order. Also getting better with the different tenses and all of their conjugations in Spanish.
  4. We have a Nest thermostat and two alarms. They're awesome! Our thermostat installation wasn't as plain sailing as yours as it took a succession of plumbers/nest experts to actually get it done. Think there was some sort of complication with our boiler. Works fantastic now though and would highly recommend.
  5. So, has anyone else managed to go and see this? We just got back a few moments ago. I thought it was excellent and the trilogy as a whole is one of my favourite groups of films of the past decade. We watched Dawn yesterday and I'm tempted to say that it might be my overall favourite of the three. Loved it. It's really satisfying when you're looking forward to a film and hope for it to be good and you leave the cinema completely happy.
  6. Terrible news. I still listen to them every now and again. Pushing Me Away is my favourite song of theirs and it brings back so many memories of growing up. Horrible for his family. R.I.P.
  7. You should be ashamed.
  8. RATCHET AND CLUNK MORE LIEK!
  9. You know what? Fuck this game. I just got a 500cr fine for apparently blocking a landing pad trying to land at a research lab. I've spent hours on this today trying to get into it and it's rubbing me up the wrong way. Awful tutorials to start with and just...so overly complicated for no real reason. It should not be this tiresome and require this much effort to land on a fucking pad. I may give it a go tomorrow, or I may not.
  10. It's bordering on nonsensical. I've got a mission where I need to find two units of Hydrogen Peroxide. I've got no information about where to find it or how I need to go about getting it. I assume I mine it from asteroids? The tutorials were absolute garbage. Seen very similar complaints off others online. The game is just needlessly complicated to the point of convolution. It's been a long time since a game has managed to disappoint me so greatly so early on.
  11. I'm doing the second training mission and I have to say that I'm starting to loathe this game already. Say what you want about No Man's Sky, but at least it made the tedious things about space a non-issue. I'm trying to dock in the station in the second training mission and the combination of the tedious task plus poor controls means that it is a chore. I actually timed out of my docking request and had to request it again because it was taking so long. They certainly didn't advertise this in the trailer. A very poor first impression. Edit: Just done it. Wow. Not impressed so far at all. Hope the game starts to become interesting at some point.
  12. I'll probably get The Witness, too. It's been at a reduced price before, but this may be the cheapest that I've seen it. Not sure there's anything else in the deal that stands out for me aside from that and some of the other stuff that I already own.
  13. I've bought this digitally as I figured that @Eenuh may want to play it, too. Looking forward to giving it a go, even though I know very little about it. Going to build up a science-fiction-inspired playlist on Spotify to have on whilst I play this!
  14. I'll have a look at train times later on. I'll go for a late one.
  15. Congratulatioooons! The proficiency bit has never made sense to me. It's a bit strange how it's worked out and I don't think it's very meaningful at all. The "words" section at the top is great, however. It tells you that there's roughly 2100-2200 words that you have learned in Spanish, for example. That's more useful, imo. Wish they had that in the Dutch language section.
  16. It's at a hotel in the London Euston area. Is that your neck of the woods? Course runs from 9:30 to 3:30-ish. Not yet sure what I'm going to do with trains back.
  17. D'oh, forgot to use spoiler tags. I'd recommend using spoiler tags in this thread. When on holiday, it can be tricky to keep up with the episodes and so encountering/avoiding spoilers may be a bit of a minefield.
  18. As part of my role change/promotion next year, I'm going to be mentoring and training up one of our newly qualified teachers. It was a bit of a ball-ache actually getting myself registered as the NQT co-ordinator as there's this website and database that you need to access. I didn't have the login details, so had to email our Headteacher and ask for it...and he didn't have it either. Basically, the last NQT at the school was me and the person/people (and Head) who trained me up have all left. So, I had to ring up a couple of places to get them deleted off the list and for me to get added. In September, I'm going to attend a course in London to help me learn the processes that we need to follow to train up NQTs. Should be useful, hopefully. Responsibillliiiiitiiiiiieesssss.
  19. Edit: Spoiler tagged.
  20. The Ed Sheeran cameo was just a bit odd. A bit of a throwaway scene as far as the series goes, used only to remind Arya (and the viewers) that not all of the Lanister's army is full of murderous scum.
  21. The episode itself was just fantastic as usual. We watched the final two episodes of season 6 before watching this. They're truly stunning. The Battle of the Bastards is one of the most insane bits of television I've ever seen. That opening sequence of the S6Finale where Cersei has her revenge is magnificent. The real hero of Game of Thrones is Lady Mormont. Literally everything she says is just 100% badass. Love her.
  22. Congratulations, @Ashley. I've reached the end of the Spanish course, but I know that I'm basically going to be redoing things oooover and ooooover until they stick. Conjugations are a pain. Comparing it to other languages, this might be an area where I think Dutch actually is easier for me. Tense and conjugation wise, it's not too tricky. It's just the word order that fucks me up.
  23. Hmm, a bit disappointed it won't be out for Christmas. Could have potentially been an @Eenuh christmas gift. Also, still want the first game to be made available for PS4.
  24. That's annoying. There should be an option to 'restart downloads automatically', would be quite useful. I'd use it.
  25. If your download failed and then automatically restarted, could it potentially be stuck in an endless loop of download started - download failed, etc?
