I think this is one of those conferences where if you're already invested in the Xbox brand, then you'd regard it as a good show. It's a good showing, but I wouldn't buy the hardware for these games.

I knew this was Metro when I saw the landscape. Fucking LOVE the choice of song that they've used for this bit. I'll cry if this is exclusive to Xbox One...

@Eenuh and D.Va are a match made in heaven. She's pretty good with that character. I think I'm naturally better with someone like Orisa. Soldier 76 is pretty fun to use. I used Tracer a fair bit last night and thought she was a really fun character, too. I love her movement! I found that my results were varied with her, though. Need to improve!

Won't you still need to pay for the Switch's online? Do we even know what the online services are for FIFA on Switch? I wouldn't even contemplate getting the Switch version of FIFA, unless it was alongside a PS4 version, but then there's no way I'd buy the same game on two different systems. It would be a weaker game and plus there's going to be a smaller userbase online.

Grazie! Yeah, just getting used to the sounds and, like you say, the combinations of letters that produce one sound in Spanish but a different one in Italian. I'll get there. I'm interested to see how I'll do with it. With Dutch, there's a bit more urgency to learn it as I need it to communicate with Ine's family. Spanish is one that I kinda use a bit in work as we occasionally have Spanish visitors. Italian is purely for fun and enjoyment. Pressure-free.

I've introduced a friend of mine at work to Duolingo. She studied French and German at university but has been out of it for a while and wants to get back into it. I showed her the browser version of it and we both commented on how we'd like to learn Italian eventually. So now, we've both decided to learn Italian. I've had a little go at it today on Duolingo. It's like a cross-breed between French and Spanish. I've always had a fascination with Italy. I used to watch Gazetta Football Italia every weekend and learned bits and pieces about Italian culture through that. I knew all the top players and still idolise players like Del Piero, Zidane, Inzaghi and so on. Let's see how this goes.

Crazy. That's a loooooot of money to be asking for. At least, in my opinion. Interested to see what is shown during the Microsoft conference now. I don't own an Xbox One so can't say whether it's worth the money or not. I just think that if you're going to charge that amount of money, then it has to be worth it in terms of games.

If the Scorpio is really powerful, how difficult will it be as a developer to have to make the same game work on Scorpio, Playstation 4 and Switch hardware? Parity between all three is surely going to be an issue?

Would that be a straight dollars to pound conversion of £499? The UK won't take to that. Not sure about the rest of Europe either. That's a lot of money for gaming hardware.

I'm going to watch it, but I'm honestly not bothered about it or excited or have any real feelings towards it. No plans to buy a One or a Scorpio or any MS machine. Still, it's new hardware, so it may be worth watching just to see what's up.

Dude, we haven't had Wave Race since 2002. Get with the times. EA's conference was a bit self-indulgent in places. Lots of showmanship and all that, but not enough content to make it special. Battlefront 2 and A Way Out look fantastic. Not sure if anything there is coming out for Switch. Don't think I heard it mentioned once or saw a logo.

Really excited for this. Glad to see that there's loads of free content coming, too. Just a bit of random musing: wouldn't it be nice if they made all of the maps from Battlefront 1 available in BF2? There are loads of maps and modes that I enjoy from that which I'd like to carry on playing in BF2, but I know the playerbase in BF won't be there anymore when it comes out.

Is it just me or does this conference seem a bit "jumpy"? As in, they'll talk about one game, show something else, then go back to the previous game, then back to the other one, etc? Doesn't seem to have a natural flow to it.
