  1. I've forgotten just how much deadlifts take out of you. I was knackered after performing the exercise and I'm really feeling it today.
  2. Liverpool could be out of the top 4 today if United beat Swansea and City beat Boro. All three would have played 34 games, with City on 68, United on 67 and Liverpool on 66. It's all set up for a nail-biting end to the season. Swansea, Boro and Sunderland are all in the bottom three and should be the same three to go down. Edit: Wow. What a fucking awwwwwful performance. With so much at stake, considering the opposition that we were playing against and coming off the back off a point away at City, this was dreadful. There were no positives to take from that game, which is extraordinary. Too many sicknotes in the squad (Luke Shaw being the latest one) and, for people who are supposed to be top-tier athletes, there are a shocking amount of mentally weak players in this squad. A huge opportunity blown today. We need at least one new striker in the summer and at least one new centreback, plus a new left-back (probably right-back, too)
  3. Ooooh, could be quite interesting for @Eenuh, as she's into this sort of stuff. Was Grand Ages: Medieval any good in the end? I wanted to pick it up but decided not to. I've seen it flash up on PSN a few times at around £15.
  4. I've been playing through the first game on PS4 and I'm quite enjoying it, so far. It's got a nice style about it and I like the whole concept of the game. Controls can be a bit fiddly when you need to be precise. I was doing the Maid's sidequest where you had to move the objects from the front of the house around to the back. It's quite a simple thing to do, but I kept getting frustrated by the controls. I think the problem was that forcefield move with the circle button (which enables you to grab objects) automatically makes you float in the air. So, if you want to get back onto the ground, you need to press an additional button. Due to the tight space you're working in, if your aim is slightly off, you could be walking on any of the walls present. It took me about 5 attempts to do it, due to the controls. Aside from that minor blip, the rest of the game is great. Looking forward to playing more later. Also, everybody should own a space cat (as I've dubbed him) like Dusty.
  5. Whut da fawk?! I always wanted Night Trap, too. The whole concept just seemed interesting and a bit strange. Somehow, I just never got around to it. This is the most bizarre gaming announcement of the year so far, for me.
  6. It's expected, because that's how Nintendo are these days. But still, it's pretty lame.
  7. I fucking cried when I saw the title for the game. It's almost like an Honest Game Trailers piss-take of these games. Call of Duty.....World War Twoooo. I get that WWII was important and it's a fascinating time period. But, there have been so many other wars that would also be interesting to play through. Even Battlefield 1 proved that.
  8. Dammit, I wanted Abzu. I know next to nothing about the other games, so they'll be new and fresh experiences for me. *waits for Abzu*
  9. A Perfect Circle are currently touring and have even played one or two new songs. They've signed a new deal, so it's highly likely that a new album is out soon.

Tool are also touring in a few months time and have been posting teaser images:

Looks increasingly likely that we're going to get new materials from both bands at some point this year. There's also been rumours that Tool are finally going to put their music on Spotify ahead of this new album release.

    The odds look good. :D

  10. Brah, are you into Tool and A Perfect Circle? Apparently both will be releasing new albums this year?!

  11. You are never going to find a "perfect" person without flaws. Everyone has them. Also, just because this person holds this belief now doesn't mean that she'll hold it forever. Like you mentioned, she's open to alternative explanations, so she's not completely closed off and isn't, say, a Christian fundamentalist. If you like this person for the good qualities that she has, then go for it. I guess only then will you be able to figure out if the astrology stuff is too big to ignore, instead of overthinking something that may turn out to be easy to live with.
  12. Anyone else keeping up to date with the French Elections? Projected results have Macron and Le Pen as the two to go head-to-head in the run-off.
  13. The more I read up on Labour, the more I feel that their views and policies line up with my own. I've gone for them in this poll and I will most likely be voting for them in the election. The Lib Dems are saying all the right things about Europe and that's what is drawing me closer towards them. But, I don't realistically see what they can do about it. They won't be getting a majority Government and I just feel that the other parties will make it too difficult for them to implement their plans. In the end, they'll just get bullied out of enforcing any meaningful change. I'd definitely take some kind of coalition with Labour, the Lib Dems and maybe the Greens.
  14. So, Liverpool lost today and United beat Burnley. Liverpool are three points ahead but have played two games more. It's going to be close. I think United will just miss out, due to too many draws. I don't think Arsenal will make it either.
  15. I've just finished the story mode in this game and have posted my impressions in the game diary. This is probably one of my favourite fighting games now. I really, really like it, particularly the characters and movesets. The X-Ray attacks are just too fun and I love how there are various interactions with the stages themselves. One thing I do miss from the Injustice game that isn't present here is the ability to smash your opponent into the next part of the level. I hope that's in the next Injustice game as that was awesome. Overall, would definitely recommend. It's crazy how cheaply this can be picked up for now...well worth the money, imo.
  16. As I'm a huge fan of Injustice, it only seemed natural to dive into Mortal Kombat XL. I've had a craving for a fighting game recently, so it made perfect sense to just go ahead and play it. I fucking love it. It's probably one of my favourite fighting games now. I love the way that the characters move and I'm a big fan of the movesets that you find within the MK games. This is very similar to the Injustice game, which was in turn modelled on MK9. The character roster is pretty good and there's a nice number of variations with each character, as well as costumes to keep it looking fresh. I finished the story mode today and it's quite a meaty experience. It's pretty long for a fighting game, so there's good value there. The storyline isn't going to win any Oscars, but it's entertaining and keeps you interested. The combat is just fucking fantastic though, particularly the X-Ray moves and (obviously) also the Fatalities and Brutalities, which are just as gory as ever. The Krypt is a fantastic mode that adds further longevity to the game. I'm a sucker for unlockables and there's plenty of stuff to unlock here. It's like a dungeon crawler sort of mode where you have chests to open, with things such as concept art, music and costumes, as well as brutalities and fatalities to unlock. It's quite enjoyable actually and I spent a fair amount of time on the game tonight just going through the Krypt and finding out what I could or couldn't unlock just yet. I really enjoyed the trash-talking that took place in Injustice at the start of each match and I'm glad to see that this is further expanded here. It does make each battle feel unique and it creates the perfect illusion that all of the characters are part of the same universe, and are not just a series of characters that are just plumped together randomly. Even the DLC characters like the Alien and Predator fit in well into the game and they don't aesthetically look out of place either. This is giving me high hopes for the next Injustice game. If it follows on from this, it is going to be one of the best fighters out there, imo. 17. Exactly, most online forums of this type will usually be populated by Labour-folk or, at a push, Lib Dem supporters. So, although the results will be showing a good support for Labour, it's not indicative of the rest of the population. I doubt we'll have many on here who will vote Conservative. You've also got the situation where some will say they support one party but will secretly vote for another due to the connotations associated with said party. Closet Conservatives or UKIPers.
  18. I check the RedCafe (Man Utd) forums very regularly and they've got an identical poll over there. The results are very much in Labour's favour, with the Lib Dems second and the Conservatives third. After that, you've got UKIP, the Greens and SNP all neck and neck.
  19. I'm stuck between Labour and the Lib Dems. If it wasn't for all of Labour's in-fighting, I think they would get my vote for sure. Most of these online tests say that I align more with Labour than any other party, yet I've previously always voted Lib Dem. Lib Dem's Pro-EU stance and Labour's wishy-washy attitude towards it is also muddying the waters in terms of which party to vote for. I'm in a Conservative stronghold anyway, so they'll 100% get in again.
  20. It really is sad. That Paul Merson video where he's in bits is very difficult to watch. A sad loss for the footballing world as he was still involved in it heavily and had a lot more to give. R.I.P.
  21. Progress with the overhead press is slooooow, man. I'd advise looking at a few videos or articles on technique as it's not an exercise that you can magically just get better at. It's definitely the one that I struggle with the most.
  22. Don't...tempt me, Frodo! I had my first workout yesterday in the new gym and it felt great. Really feels good to be back at it. The new cage is a good piece of equipment and pretty much covers all of the bases. It feels good to actually be able to do proper pull-ups instead of the workaround that I had going on beforehand.
  23. I'm nominating you to make it. Do eeeet! I'm currently living in a very Conservative area. They've pretty much got a stranglehold on this area. It's one of these locations where the residents will always vote Conservative, despite who their local MP is or who is the leader of the party or even what policies they have. I can't see that changing any time soon.
  24. I've been tempted by the Pro... Not enough software on VR for me just yet. Maybe in the future! *cries at empty wallet*
  25. We were going to get it plugged into the tv aerial, but we were told that the signal would be pretty shit and so we're looking into alternatives. Firestick, something like that. Nothing is currently going into it yet. We're open to suggestions! We can be on the elliptical/crosstrainer for as long as an hour, so it would be quite useful to have something to look at whilst you're doing that. Cardio can be such a drag otherwise.
