Is it really that good? I'm tempted, but it's the money. Kinda tempted to trade in my PS4 for one, but I'm thinking about all of my photos and videos that I've saved that will take aaaaages to transfer over. How much would I have to pay extra if I was to trade in my original PS4 with an upgraded 2tb HDD?

Terrible football match and an absolute crime that people paid money to watch it. United were shit, but West Brom have to be one of the most pointless teams in the league. They did absolutely nothing but sit back and defend for an entire match. I'm shocked that they're 8th with performances like that, something which you'd associate more with a relegation-bound team. A 0-0 draw should be the same as a loss: zero points. Why should a team be awarded a point for doing nothing all game?

I don't think I've got too much of a problem with the voice-acting in this game. It's slightly on the wooden side, but I wouldn't say it's a huge hindrance or issue. I quite like the character of Aloy and think she's pretty well crafted.

Looks pretty awesome. I could do with a futuristic racer, so I'll no doubt be picking this up. I seriously just want new F Zero. Why are Nintendo dicking around with this? Why don't they just give the fans what they want?!

The best looking game of this generation

The one and only thing which would make The Witcher 3 even better would be a photo mode. I must have taken close to 200 pictures when playing that game and I only wish that I could just changed the angles slightly or used filters or removed the HUD, etc. Photo mode would have been perfect. I'm getting cravings to go through the game again... -
Just give it to me, already. Feed it into my veins. Hnnnngggggggggggg.

I don't know any of these games. However, philosophically, at some point there is a moment where you don't know a game, before you do know about it. This just reminds me of this philosoraptor meme.

I think I've just had a bad week at work and I'm tired and just couldn't settle down to enjoy the game. After my moan yesterday, I enjoyed the rest of my session, cleared that area, ended up playing til late and overslept for work this morning! I love the game, again.

All of a sudden, I'm starting to dislike the game. I'm finding the difficulty/leveling up of the game to be a bit retarded. I don't feel any sense of progression that Aloy is getting stronger. I just tried to do the City of the Sun mission, which is stated as a level 12. I can honestly say that the middle/latter parts of the mission are NOT level 12 material whatsoever. I'm taking on a quarry on 2 corruptors plus half a dozen/8 humans. The corruptors are apparently weak to fire. I'm hitting them with fire arrows and are literally doing fuck all damage to them. What? I don't really feel that this game is a much of an RPG and the leveling up just seems false to me. It's my first real moment where I've not enjoyed my play session and I've played for about an hour and achieved absolutely zero with it.

The best looking game of this generation

Funny enough, I was thinking about The Order earlier today and how well that stands up against some of the current games. I just spent 2-3 minutes just now getting a screen shot on Horizon. One thing I love about this generation is with regards to how many games contain photo modes. It's brilliant. I hope it becomes a standard thing and near enough all games have it. -
I'm currently playing through Horizon and I'm finding myself stopping every few seconds to just look at the sun's rays as they break through a group of trees. Sometimes I'll stop and look at how the wind brushes across the grass and there are also moments where I catch a view of the mountains and I'll just stop to gaze at it. It's got to be one of the best looking games of this generation. Obviously, I thought the Witcher looked stunning in this respect for the same sorts of reasons as Horizon. Is there a definitive "best graphics" or "style" of this generation of games and consoles? What are the contenders?

Yup, that's pretty much it.

This is a tricky question to answer. I tend to be someone who waits for deals and I act somewhat on impulse. I'd say it's maybe between £20-£50, depending on the month. I do like getting deals on PSN and that can help keep some of the costs down. It does mean that it's harder to keep track on how much that I actually spend, however.

Finish Bloodborne first. It's a completely different style of game. Can't really compare the two. Like I mentioned earlier, it's closer to something like Tomb Raider with the way that you play it. One similarity is maybe the forestry type of locations, as there is a lot of green in this game and those lovely moments with the sun's rays coming through the trees. I'm enjoying the story so far and there is a good sense of "history" to this game. It's an interesting world and one that I'd like to learn more about. In that sense, it's like The Witcher. But, the world isn't constructed in the same sort of way. You get a post-apocalyptic sort of feel from this, as it is a bit (well, maybe very!) dystopian. Definitely would recommend, thus far.

I've been on this for the whole day and I'm finding it difficult to put down. It's stunning. Gorgeous graphics! I'm getting a Tomb Raider/Rise of the Tomb Raider kind of vibe from this in the way that it moves and plays. I'm enjoying the lore and story much more than I thought I would. The actual gameplay is so satisfying. The combat is fluid and exciting. Looking forward to putting even more time into this!

Just experienced rain for the first time. Hnnnnnnnggg. Think I underplayed the lighting a bit a few moments ago. It's really, reeeeeally good. Absolutely gorgeous looking game.

I played for an hour/two hours on Thursday and was shattered after work/football last night. I came home intending to play, but ended up getting a takeaway before falling asleep on the sofa. I'm going to spend the entire weekend doing nothing but playing. First impressions are good, though. It looks beautiful...in fact, breath-taking in places. The lighting in this game is seriously wonderful. I'm not sure if I'm getting the maximum out of our new TV though and I'm sure I'll need to fiddle around with a few more settings. @Eenuh will be better at that than I am. I have HDR turned on and it's just a case of playing around with those settings, brightness, etc. I've taken a few, yes. :p

Some of you may remember that I had been overlooked for a role at work that was given to a colleague of mine. I then went for two job interviews, got offered them both and turned them down to stay, on the promise that more responsibilities are given to me. Well, the colleague hasn't really impressed all that much and has actually been for a job interview himself - which he has been offered and has accepted! After a chat with the headteacher, it looks like I'll be getting the role I deserve after all! We're meeting at some point next term to go over the full details and to talk about the plans for the future. There are going to be changes at work as three of our teaching staff are leaving, so it could be a good time to stamp my authority on things. I'm looking forward to it. We'll see how this goes!

After a long day, I've decided to come home and give this a whirl. Update has downloaded. My body is ready. Let's go!

It's horrible that this sort of attack has taken place and my thoughts go out to their families and loved ones. It is just completely senseless and cruel. Horrible that a human being would do this to another.

IT CAME TODAY! And now the England game is on and I've also got work to do. May start it tomorrow or I'll keep it for Saturday. Looking forward to it. I think I'll have a break from Fallout, get Horizon out of the way and then go back to it.

Oh yes, lesson learned. Never again!
