Horizon is the one that I'm really looking forward to playing next. That'll be my next purchase! There is quite a lot out there, atm. Great time to be a gamer!
-
I'm trying to move completely away from comparing games to each other because I think it just sets things up for disappointment. The Witcher 3 is my favourite game ever and it'll take a lot to top that. So, I'll happily judge Fallout on its own merits. The game does appear to be cheap in a lot of places. Could be worth going for. I'll let you know after I've played some more.

@Eenuh got me this for Christmas and I've just started playing it. Granted, I'm very early into the game, but for some reason I haven't got a huge urge to want to play it. It's probably down to tiredness as I was knackered yesterday when I sat down with it, but I haven't really connected with it yet. Gonna try a bit more later on tonight and see how it goes from there.

City are struggling against Monaco. Currently 5-5 on aggregate there.

I voted to remain and I would still vote the same if there were to be a second referendum. The whole thing has been a farce and has shown off the UK in an exceptionally poor light. The whole campaign was dominated by the Tories and UKIP and I thought Labour were tragically poor during the build-up to the vote. We STILL don't know what Brexit is...so how could the public possibly be able to vote in such a matter, especially when there were and are too many variables, e.g. staying in the single market. It's not just a binary choice because what one person interprets as Brexit could be vastly different from somebody else's definition. The gist of it is that I think there has been a lot of "blagging" and "winging it" since the result. There's no real plan and it's just been a mess that is causing lots of uncertainty. The more worrying thing for me is that Labour have essentially self-destructed since the referendum and it looks like we'll be stuck with a Conservative government for a long, long time with no viable opposition. That's dangerous, imo. A different topic, for sure, but one that has traces back to the referendum.

1-0 Chelsea. Classic closing down and tackling by Pogba there...
-
Either way, it looked like a stupid tackle to try and make when you're on a yellow card. It's careless and it's going to cost the team. I knew as soon as he got a yellow so early into the game that we were in trouble. Our best chance is to just try and nick a goal from a set piece if we can. I fully expect Chelsea to score.
-
Heheheh....*laughs nervously* Herrera sent off. Stupid foul for the second yellow and can't have any complaints. The more I see of the first yellow, the more I'm not sure about it. I thought it was a yellow at first but now I really just think Hazard merely ran into him. Nowt we can do about it now, though. Not sure how we can score, especially with Mkhi off the pitch. No real obvious goal threat from any of our current players.

I've not been looking forward to this game tonight. I fear Chelsea could do us 3 or 4-nil.

You can try your best! It's actually a very solid game. It's pretty simple, yet addictive. It's like ultimate frisbee and tennis had a baby! I hope that they continue adding to this game as it could become something really special. It's a good game that could become a great game if treated right. It needs its own tangible offline mode with some things to do when you're not playing online. Maybe the option to create tournaments with other players spectating and more customisable settings and options for the multiplayer.

I would love for this to happen! I got the chance to play a few FF games here and there but haven't played anything from VI onwards. Would day one this!

I'm all for this. Sometimes you want to try games on certain systems but don't particularly want to buy the hardware that is required to play it. PSNow has been good for me because there are a few games that I was able to finally play (such as Ico and Batman: Arkham Asylum) and couldn't do it beforehand due to not having the hardware. There will still be gamers that will want to purchase the console, so that's fine. Due to varying internet speeds, this service may not even be applicable to a large portion of potential users anyway. It's just an alternative way to play the game. I already stream music, film and tv, so why not games?
-
It had a sort of Kiefer Sutherland charm to it for me, so I loved it. What's the rough play-time for this game? Are there many sidequests or can the whole thing be wrapped up in under 20 hours, for example?
-
I'm a bit worried that I'll have a similar opinion to you when I get around to playing this. I'm not really interested in the whole tribal theme and robot-dinosaur things don't excite me. But, I hear the combat is great and that graphically it's a stunner. Who knows, eh? Basically, we just want The Witcher 4 and we won't be happy until we get it! (It'll never happen now, booooo!) I've got Fallout 4 to start. I'm half tempted to go with that and then get Horizon a bit later in the year when it's cheaper.

Hahahahaha. Post of the week. I do prefer to get games digitally. In this case, as it's only a singleplayer game, it's one of those types of games that I doubt I'll go back to once I finish. I can live with this being digital or physical.
-
I've given this a try and quite like it! It's addictive, pretty easy to pick up but also contains a surprising amount of depth. Just won my first online match. One of my games earlier finished 51-49 to my opponent. Was gutted.

I've just finished the game and posted my thoughts in the game diary thread. @Eenuh's explanation of the ending is really awesome and has touched on a few things that I missed from the game. I loved it. Such a beautiful game and I want my very own Trico! I really, reeeeeeally hope we get another game from this team and Ueda. It's simplistic in lots of ways; there is very little to collect and you're not given tons of story or things to read. But, that's part of the charm of the game. The focus is purely on navigating around these elaborate-yet-simple environments and the relationship between Trico and the narrator. I'm happy that I got to experience this game.

I've followed The Last Guardian for years and have always been interested in its development and just the whole mystery and aura surrounding it. I played through Ico last year and loved it, so my hopes were set quite high for The Last Guardian. I've just finished the game and loved it immensely. Yes, there are issues with the camera. The controls are quite similar to Ico, so I wasn't as taken aback by them, but they are quite fiddly in places. The frame rate is dodgy. Still, despite all of those problems, the positives far, far outweigh the negatives for me. I am in love with Trico and he has to go down as one of the best gaming companions of all time. I spent such a large part of the game studying Trico and watching his movements and mannerisms. The relationship between Trico and the narrator was crafted masterfully and I'm just so sad that I've reached the end of the game where there's no more to be seen. It's that fine balance where you have your fill, but you have that hunger for slightly more. Overall, this has surpassed Ico for me and is going to be a personal favourite for a long while. The music is sporadic, but it's used well to highlight key emotional moments. I'm very happy that I managed to experience this game! Where did you UK folks order from? @Eenuh is going away to Belgium next week and I'm tempted to get this to play whilst she is away.
-
My Whisperer War volume arrived yesterday. Looking forward to sitting down to read it. What do people make of the TV show atm? I still think that there are too many episodes and it's killing the pace of the show.
-
I don't think we'll ever get that traditional multiplayer mmo experience that you're asking for. I don't think the game is built for that or set up in a way that enables this to happen. That seems to be clear now. There might be ways in the future to "share" more things with other users. Maybe we'll be able to create our own ships in the future for others to buy, for example. It'll be that type of multiplayer.
-
I'll try and catch it tomorrow. I love dramatic comebacks! I was certain PSG would close the game out with a 4-0 aggregate lead. That's really poor.
-
Gah, wtf. I can't believe I missed that game. Was it actually as good as it sounds? Better?
-
Hnnnnnnnnnnggggg. Looks fucking brilliant and has improved on the previous game in every way. I love the combat and nemesis system.

I was waiting for the second update to hit before I jumped back in. Think it'll be time to explore this game some more.
