The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Fierce_LiNk replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Really? No Gamepad functions at all? That's a bit lazy of Nintendo. Might just go for that then, but may use a Pro Controller for it. Maybe. I dunno. I'll let @Eenuh figure this one out. -

Are you playing with the Gamepad or Pro Controller? -
We have a 3DS...somewhere. I want to play that too but I just know that I'm not going to get around to it. I don't find the DSLite/3DS that comfortable to play for long periods of time and I prefer to do my gaming in big chunks. We've got a WiiU and we have had a chat about getting Zelda for it. In the end, we decided not to because of the controller. I don't like the Gamepad, it's too bulky and obtrusive. Not particularly fond of the Pro Controller either. I can't say I'm especially keen on using the Switch or Joy Cons for that either. Basically, I want to play the game but the hardware just isn't for me.

Sure, there are merits to it. But, I'm not fond of handhelds at all and don't particularly want or need them. It's the USP of the Switch and it just doesn't speak to me. I agree with those listed points that you've made. I'm somewhat proud of myself that I haven't been weak and just paid the money because "it's Nintendo" because I think that I might have regretted it as I have done the WiiU. We'll see how E3 goes and beyond that. It's a lot of money to spend on a "Nintendo box" though.

I didn't actually see the first half as I was at work, but managed to follow it through radio and live text. I caught most of the second half on the car radio and saw the final 20 minutes when I got home. If one or both players are seen to be doing something they shouldn't, i.e. throwing elbows, then they should receive bans. No need for that in football. The sport is already tainted enough as it is.

If I were to buy one now, it would be purely for Zelda (which does look awesome) and for the fact that it's new Nintendo stuff. I also know that I'd probably regret it a few months/years down the line when it's tucked away in a corner somewhere and I've run out of stuff to play on it/grown bored of it.

Starting to lose patience with Pogba. He doesn't do enough for me, regardless of price tag. Looks flashy on the ball, but doesn't do that much with it and is useless off it. Herrera is more important to United than Pogba. Well done to Bournemouth for getting a point from that game. That's much needed. But, disappointed that United couldn't get another goal with a man advantage.

I've tried it and didn't really enjoy it. I like viewing N-E the same way on my phone as I do on my laptop. -
I've only just caught up on this thread (and that other one) as I've had a long day at work. I'm a little bemused to see friend codes being talked about. I thought Nintendo had moved away from them. It was a stupid system at the time and it's bizarre that they've stuck with it up til now. The term "friend code" now has a negative meaning and even using the term just gives the impression of an outdated Nintendo.

I don't even know if they exist any more. I haven't had one in years! I really want one now... -
I'm not going to watch any trailers or previews for this. I thought Prometheus was ok/decent, but the trailers for it were outstanding. Had I not watched the trailers, I may have been in the "It was awesome" camp. Who knows. No trailers crew 4 lyf.

That shade of red reminds me of the Strawberry Split ice creams that I used to destroy when I was a kid. Nostalgia/10 -
Yeah, I still don't understand it. Every month, I make a point of going onto PSN and "purchase" all of the games that appear under PS+, even the PS3 and Vita games. At some point, I may want to play one of those games. Or, I might get a PS3 and/or VITA. I have more PS3 and VITA games than I do WiiU and I don't even own those systems! We already have Tearaway, but it's a great addition. I need to play it at some point.

The user reviews are depressing on Metacritic. There are tons of gamers giving it a 0 score, seemingly to bring down the average rating.

A very "The Last of Us" vibe to the scenery there. I love those adverts.

As if you didn't worship him when he was your manager! Nice of Leicester to turn up tonight. Just goes to show that the criticism for the modern day footballer is fully justified. It's also pathetic how the players have gone running to the press with stories about how they weren't to blame for Ranieri's sacking and that there was no coup.

That was a really sad post to read, but it also 100% reflects on my thoughts of the system and of Nintendo at the moment. I'm curious to see how E3 goes for Nintendo. There will be bundles of some kind later on. But, yeah, price drops won't happen. On another note, it also makes building up a library on Nintendo systems more difficult as the games don't tend to drop in value as much. A 32GB WiiU with Mario Kart is £266.49 on Amazon!

I bought Metro Redux a long time ago in a PSN deal. I enjoyed it but never got around to finishing the story. I decided to just start afresh a few days ago and finished the game last night. I love the world that is created within this game, as well as the tension and atmosphere. The post-apocalyptic style interests me greatly in any case, but it's achieved to a great effect here. I'm so interested that I had a little browse on Amazon for the Metro books and am tempted to read them. The gameplay can be tricky at times, especially as there are occasions where there do seem to be an abundance of enemies, which makes progressing feel difficult. Thankfully, those moments are few and far between. I did find the "Librarians" to be a pain in the arse and they did slightly ruin the final third of the game for me, although they were only prevalent during one chapter, so again it's forgiveable. On the whole, I had an excellent time with the game and have immediately started Metro: Last Light Redux. Games of 2017 Rise of the Tomb Raider Beyond: Two Souls Metro 2033 Redux

I'm delighted that this is real. Yeeeeessss! Although I have to say that the comments on youtube about the inclusion of a black character to be absolutely disgusting. "WE WUZ RANGZ N SHIEEET" "Where is the asian male? The lesbian female? The transexual otherkin? Why stop at blacks?" "Putting black people for the sake of pleasing the elder gods of diversity so you can score good goy points. Enjoy not getting mah money faggots" "01:34 goddamnit, why is there a black?" "Won't be buying this shit. Stop forcing SJW bullshit down our throats. It's not gonna work." "WE WUZ MEN OF THE WEST AND SHEEEET" "A black dude? yeah right...they have gone too far this time." "The elves were black Melanin they don't lack Crackers won't admit We wuz kings n shit" "Remove all non white characters and I'll consider buying it. The lore breaking is cancerous, but Tyrone is one violation too far." Wow.

Zlatan is just unreal. Can't believe the final score and it's awesome that the first trophy in the Mourinho era has arrived. However, the better team definitely lost today and Southampton were really unlucky not to win it. They had great chances and the ball just didn't find its way into the net. As the match grew on, I thought that they waned and allowed United to have that one crucial chance that we needed to win it. So many players didn't turn up today. As I said earlier, I thought Martial and Pogba were poor. Saints were all over us and pressured the team into making stupid mistakes.
-
2-0 up against Southampton and now it's 2-2. The more I watch Pogba, the more I'm convinced that he actually does very little. He picks up the ball, moves it a couple of metres to the side and then just passes it to somebody close by. His work off the ball (in a defensive capacity) is absolutely dreadful, too. He and Martial have been awful today.

I honestly had to look closely to find Microsoft's area. That is a bit strange, I wonder what's going on there.
-
He's starred in some of my favourite films. I will always love his character, Hudson, in Aliens. R.I.P.

Yes fucking please. Shadow of Mordor was my first ever platinum. I had an excellent time with it. Moar please.

I LOVE those shitty infomercials, along with all of those "Thanks, Obama!" style gifs. Do these people really exist?!
