The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Fierce_LiNk replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I disagree. The Witcher 3 is a perfect example of DLC done correctly. CDProjektRed released nearly two dozen pieces of DLC in the form of extra quests and items at no extra cost after the base game was released. Then, they released Hearts of Stone and then later on Blood and Wine as two huuuuuge expansions that were not only much bigger than the majority of other games out there, but also were extremely high in quality. This was DLC done absolutely spot on. For £20. It's all about value for money. I've got no problem paying for more storylines or quests or dungeons provided that it's worth the money. In The Witcher's case, it took value for money to a new level. Could it have been released along with the base game? No. These things take time to create. You'd have to delay the game by over a year to fit everything in. -
I watched the game and thought Liverpool were fantastic in the first half. They dropped off in the second and Spurs came into it more. Mane should have scored about 4 or 5! Well, Chelsea are drawing away from home against Burnley. Fingers crossed! I hope Bournemouth destroy City 10-0. And that City get all of their players sent off. Aaaaaand I hope that their team bus gets a puncture on the way back.

This is officially the longest amount of time I've gone without lifting/proper exercise for maybe...9 years? Can't wait until we sort the garage out and then I can start again. You don't realise how much the routine helps until you stop. I feel weak as fuck.

The TV tax is absolute bullshit.
-
I wonder if it's fixable in a future update? It's a shame that it's that bad and it seems to be the only real blemish in almost every preview/review/impression that I've read.
-
We haven't been able to register our tv on the Sony website yet due to an error. We'll be able to access the guarantee/warranty from there, I believe.

@Goafer, the one issue that kept pissing @Eenuh off seemed to be the camera. (also, controls) I'm looking forward to playing the game for myself. I just hope that I can see past its flaws. I adore Ico and I'll eventually get around to play Shadow.

Super 8 was on yesterday and, although I've already seen it once, I just couldn't help but watch it. I really like it. In a way, it was Stranger Things before Stranger Things was itself. It's clearly made to appeal to that E.T. and Goonies audience and it succeeds. There's also a few nice little stories that take place within it that just tie together nicely at the end. I'm a big fan of it.

Do I know what I'm doing? Not really, no. But, I think most people pretend that they do. It depends on what we mean by the question and where we apply it. Love, life, career, friendships, family, wealth, etc. It's like having a graph and then a line of best fit. I think most people try to get as close to that line as possible, but the reality is that there will probably always have one area which you're doing better in than others, or one area that could always be better. Some may have to look harder than others. Overall, I'm happy. I do have maybe one month a year or one week a month where I have an inner crisis of "what are you doooooooiiiiing?" Mostly relating to work and family.

Hope you feel better soon, braaaah. Take care, everyone.

A good victory today. Mata's movement was the shit. One of the best games I've seen him play in a United shirt. I fully expect City and Chelsea to win their games. Still, there's barely anything in it from 2nd to 6th.

I've just made it to the geothermal valley section of the game. I'm finding the game pretty addictive, just like the first. It's very satisfying to fire with the bow and the guns have a nice weighty feel. It's interesting how there are more characters in this game. More NPCs to interact with. It's different and it stops the game feeling identical to the first. It has its own identity.

Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
Fierce_LiNk replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That wasn't really an indication of anything. Cloud is an iconic gaming character and Smash is an iconic series. If you're going to allow characters such as Sonic and Solid Snake, why stop there? -
Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
Fierce_LiNk replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It's not really that shocking considering that the N64, GC, Wii and WiiU didn't have any mainline FF games. Nothing has changed recently that will suddenly bring the series back. You were always going to need another console to play Final Fantasy, just like you'll need another console to play the likes of GTA. -
That size looks perfect for that room. You'd have to get a whole new tv unit or rearrange the room to fit the bigger size. I love that unit you have on the left.
-
What size did you go for? The picture quality is fantastic, imo. I'm impressed. Dark Souls III looks spectacular!
-
I'm silently hopeful that this will be good. I didn't back the Kickstarter as I didn't really have an incline over how this would play out. Still neither convinced nor deterred, so I'll gauge my impressions based on how people here find it. Visuals look fine to me. I'm neither blown away by them nor repulsed. It's really comfortable up here on this fence.
-
It has arrived! The picture isn't the best. Partly down to the lighting in the room and partly down to the PS4 theme (The Last Guardian) that @Eenuh is using. We love it. It's not too big for it to be intrusive. But it's big enough to be impressive-looking. Definitely think the 55" would have been ridiculous. It would've taken up way too much space on our unit. The 49" compliments the Samsung 40" quite nicely! Overall, we're pretty happy, so far. Ine is playing Dark Souls III and I'm watching the Leicester-Derby game.

Can speak Italian, drinks fine wine and runs awesome Nintendo websites! Of course, we are talking about the world-famous @Ashley! Happy birthday, Mary-Kate!
-
It looked great in the store. I'll be surprised if we hate it when it gets here. It really depends on the size of your room when it comes to which size you buy. I can imagine the 55" looking overpowering if your living space isn't particularly big. Will post pictures when it gets here!
-
That's my situation, word for word. I'm more tempted to get a third PS4 (PS4 Pro) than a Nintendo Switch. Nintendo haven't shown me anything at all that makes me feel that they have learned how to overcome their faults. I want the Switch to be worth it.
-
We're only five points behind and that's mostly down to draws. Key players like Mkhitaryan have found form and are scoring goals, which they weren't doing in the beginning of the season. I can see top four definitely happening now. We're within touching distance. In fairness, MadDog was always quite level-headed. Dazzy on the other hand. (I'm guessing that Spurs must have won this weekend, as Dazzy is posting in this thread)

Received the dispatch notice from Amazon. Should be here on Friday! I felt like a massive neeeeeeeeeeerd in work today when someone asked what I was getting @Eenuh for her birthday. "A tv...so we can game separately...but together." No.Fucks.Given.

Can pose for greeting card style photographs: Quite useful for journeying to faraway exotic places. Also, Belgium. The Eenuh also comes equipped with a surprisingly in-depth knowledge of continental chocolate. She can also squander countless amounts of money on owning all of the wrong property in Monopoly. (suddenly regret buying a house with this one. Not srs. Semi srs) Also takes up all of the space on the sofa! If there is a space available, you can bet that she has her eye on it, if not her limbs! However, can bake and make yummy treats provided that all ingredients are within reach: Apparently, she can even play games. Although, this wasn't quite what we had in mind: This is more like it! Of course, this is all in jest and I wouldn't dream of selling her (yet). It is the 32nd birthday of the wonderful and photogenic, @Eenuh. Happy birthday and here is to many more years of fun and adventures along the way.

We popped down to Currys today to have a look at these tvs. It wasn't an easy decision as there seemed to be a dozen or so interesting models. @Eddage, your model looked superb and definitely caught our eye. However, we decided against it in the end as it was a lot of money for us to part with! In the end, we went with @lostmario's choice: the Sony Bravia. It seemed to tick all the right boxes for us whilst still retaining that wow factor. Price definitely came into it and it just felt a bit more of a wiser purchase for us than the Samsung. The 49inch black mode is the one we bought. The only concerning thing for us is if it'll take up too much space in our living room/tv unit area. Should be fine. The 55inch model looked amazing in the store but would have been a bit too overpowering for the size of our room, I feel. I'm sure/hope we'll be happy with it. We'll post some pictures up when it gets here!
