  1. I still don't agree. The screenshots, videos, previews and reviews all indicated one thing. It received immense feedback at the time. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. (Although it looks like we both agree that Skyward Sword really isn't a good/great game)
  2. I haven't played FIFA in a while and I was having such a nice time talking that the football came second really. I'm not mega-serious about FIFA.
  3. I don't really understand what you mean when you say it was "very, very clear". If all of the previews and reviews are indicating one thing, why would you not go along with that line of thought? You can search for other reviews from other multi-format places (like Edge) if you want, you'll just find more of the same information that was provided earlier. Yup, Hero clears this one up. (I was seconds away from posting that, haha) Well, you remember wrong! We had the Zelda concerts in the UK to coincide with the 25th Anniversary of the series, so there was a huge Zelda fanfare at the time. The hype was off the scale.
  4. I'm optimistic about this. I feel the same way about this as I did before I played Rise of the Tomb Raider in that I feel that both games will be great games without really changing anything or adding anything to the gaming landscape. I dunno, just the vibe I'm getting. It looks really beautiful and I like the look of the combat. Will wait until Easter or the summer until I get around to it.
  5. I still maintain that Rokhed was a really nice person. We used to chat all the time on MSN (the GOAT) and had lots of laughs. I don't know what happened but Rokhed really changed all of a sudden towards the end. It was sad. There must have been loads going on off-line that we never knew about or found out.
  6. This is from @Hero\-of\-Time or @Blade say that's something worth playing, then there's no reason to doubt them as they have no other agendas.
  7. Cheers for the games, @nekunando. That was really fun and just an all-round nice evening. Even if I did get my arse repeatedly kicked. (what a great final game, though!) @dazzybee, so sorry, dude. I typed up a message after you sent your last one and I thought I hit send. I think it literally got sent to you as you signed out!
  8. I'm also sceptical as I remember all of these outlets also going crazy over Skyward Sword and labelling it as the best Zelda since Ocarina, the best Zelda ever, etc. It's very similar to how BotW is being hyped up.
  9. Give us a shout Nando if you fancy playing some more after playing Lost and Dazzy. Also, I've found my headset after tearing the house apart and finding it hidden within the first place we looked...right at the bottom. @lostmario, we can play a few if you fancy it?
  10. Braaaah, we're all mad heeeeeere.
  11. I'm not sure if it'll help you, but here's what I do for my Dreamcast. I play it upside down. Yup. I physically turn the Dreamcast upside down. When it's the right way up, I get all kinds of errors and games will stop working halfway through and all sorts. I searched high and low all over the internet and came across another person who had a similar issue to me and his solution was to turn his Dreamcast upside down to enable it to work. I thought "why the fuck not?" and tried it...and it worked like an absolute fucking dream. My Dreamcast plays anything now with zero issues. So, there we are. You can't say that it's not a machine with character. Apparently there are all sorts of issues with the system.
  12. I'll be up for a few games a bit later. I'm not sure where my mic is, I'll try and track that down, too. We're getting the tea ready atm, I'll be up for a few later on tonight.
  13. Although it's not really anything new in a scientific manner, tidally locked planets blow my mind. I think about what it must be like to live on these planets and to only ever see daylight or darkness. Permanent darkness sounds fucked up.
  14. I did actually scream when I saw the *ahem* new sig. I love the "effort" that's gone into it.
  15. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to Detroit now. The initial teaser piqued my interest, but I'm super excited now after playing Heavy Rain and Beyond. I want to play more games in the style of Heavy Rain. I love that crime/noir style. I'd class games like Hotel Dusk to be in the same style. Wish there were more of them.
  16. This does raise an interesting point about managers getting the flack. Just like Ranieri didn't single-handedly win them the title, he also didn't get them into their current predicament by himself either. Why are the players allowed to carry on picking up their wages and keep their livelihoods when they are the ones who step over that white line and underperform? Players aren't machines that are programmed by managers to do their bidding. They think for themselves and they should take the blame, too. I remember when Chelsea sacked Mourinho (apparently engineered through player power by people like Costa and Fabregas) and won their next game 3-1. Players are quick to turn it on and off when they feel like it.
  17. Nostalgia would have been one of the reasons why I would have pre-ordered a Switch. I'd say that I'm maybe becoming less nostalgic these days and more about the moment. Nostalgia can only take you so far, imo.
  18. Leicester City proving that there's no sentimentality in football. Also, no honour. I remember when neutrals turned against Swansea after they sacked Garry Monk. It'll be even worse now that it's happened to Leicester, considering their achievements last season. Sad as it is to say and think, but there will be a lot of people out there who will want Leicester to go down after this. This man won you the league, at least give him to the end of the season.
  19. I'm hoping that Nintendo have an awesome E3 and I'll get excited after that. At the moment, I'm not even a little bit excited that a new Nintendo system is here a week from now. Also, the knowledge that I won't be playing Zelda has put me in a state of indifference. I know I won't be playing it, so I'm not excited for it. I didn't enjoy Skyward Sword and I remember the hype surrounding that was off the charts. Due to that, it's not exactly made me eager to play the next one. I don't even think I'll get the WiiU version on the off-chance that we do invest in a Switch in the future. We'll see. I think it's dangerous that Nintendo are putting all of their eggs in one basket and relying on Zelda.
  20. Haha. Being busy, mainly. Also, I just haven't been in the mood to do any multiplayer-ing lately. I've preferred to just play through some of my single player games (Bioshock collection, Beyond, Rise of the Tomb Raider), but hopefully I'll get on board with this soon. I'll need a few days to get into it as it looks fucking manic.
  21. She has actually used the microphone before for Battlefront, but it's in a box somewhere and has been there for a while due to the move. She probably was being genuine and not an anti-social fuck. I'd advocate using that microphone. It's not bad at all and I've not upgraded since receiving my PS4. Also, I'm going to get into Overwatch this week as I feel I need a new shooter in my life.
  22. They announced on Monday that they had an awesome discovery and were going to share it with the world on Wednesday. So, here it is! The rest of the info can be found here and it's well worth a read.
  23. Awesome! I'd still like to tap into that universe at some point. The combat for Andromeda looks pretty sick. I think I drooled a little watching that vid on the last page.
  24. You never know, we've had collections and remasters a fair bit this gen, I wouldn't say it's completely out of the question. Even if it's just a straightforward port without any extra work done to it. I'm holding out for the possibility of it maybe being added to PSNow. Again, I'd take that. Aside from that, my only real option would be to buy a cheap PS3 to play the trilogy, but I don't want to go down the route of extra hardware. There's PC maybe, if mine (my laptop) can run it.
