  1. Bioshock 2 I finished this in two (maybe it was three?) play sessions because I just couldn't put the bluddy thing down. I LOVED it. Very satisfying to play as a Big Daddy and exploring Rapture once again. You could argue that it's just more of the same, but I don't see that as a bad thing at all. You can't ever have too much curry, for example, or chips, or sex. So, the same applies to Bioshock. I'm extremely tempted to just put in Infinite right now and carry on with that, but maybe I should play something else to give myself a break? How different is Infinite compared to these two? It's quite exciting playing through a series that you know nothing about that suddenly turns out to be very awesome. 2. I've started Bioshock 2 today and am just powering through it. The game has clicked right away with me and I'm looking forward to playing more of it tomorrow. I'm in love with the dystopian underwater world that has been created in this and the first game. I'm eager to see how Infinite follows on from this!
  3. Has anyone else heard this talk about Chelsea's Oscar in a £60million move to Shanghai? Where did that come from?!
  4. I tried to be a good man and wait for Nintendo to see some sense and release the damn thing in Europe. Still massively surprised that they didn't bother. Why go to all of that effort to make the game and not release it?! It's not like ExciteTruck was panned either; the fans loved it! I'm pretty sure Endless Ocean allowed you to do this, too. It was a really cool feature at the time. It wasn't an easy or ideal solution though as the playback options were extremely limited. Thank god for Spotify on PS4. I'm expecting Switch to have some options with this...
  5. Fuck yeah, I'd be all over ExciteTruck. Unless they "forget" to release it in Europe or something. *glares at ExciteBots*
  6. I actually want to watch all of those. They could all be potentially great games. Can see both Leicester and City progressing. Arsenal's is too close to call. Wouldn't be surprised if they go out on away goals.
  7. This is fantastic. A gang of talented kids have covered the very awesome 46 and 2 by Tool. It isn't just a "huh, cool" thing where you listen to it once and then discard it. It's actually a great version in its own right. I've been listening to it loads over the past few months. I also urge you all to listen to the original if you've never done so. The only band that I desperately want/need on Spotify.
  8. We've hardly touched our 3DS in the past year or two, so this would definitely be an upgrade on that. Just have to hope that there are plenty of games that interest us. *wishes for another Advance Wars* It looks pretty damn crazy. Not the most ideal time to launch if too many of those games don't make it onto the Switch.
  9. What if you are satisfied with what you already have and don't have a want or need for it? That's pretty much where I'm at. I can imagine that this would apply for lots of other gamers, too since we're at a midpoint in this generation.
  10. I'm always jealous at how people can do stuff like this. Looks awesome. I love that NES controller.
  11. Rise was awesome! I didn't go to watch it at the cinema as I was convinced it was going to be garbage or a shitty reboot (OR BOTH LOL). I'm happy to have been completely wrong on that one! That final scene where Caesar climbs the trees gets me every time.
  12. Credit to @Smeagol for posting the trailer in the Movie thread. I seriously can't wait for this. I'm a huge fan of the original Ape movies and am absolutely delighted with how Rise and Dawn turned out. Think this will carry on that trend! Woody Harrelson is such a good choice for this sort of role and I can't wait to see how that turns out!
  13. Think this deserves it's own thread.
  14. We're looking at a few different choices for laminate floorboards and we've got someone coming over tomorrow to give us a quote and to measure things up for us. Vertical radiators: What is everyone's opinion of them? I think they're good for saving space and I quite like the one that Ine's family have over in Belgium. The two radiators in the new living room just take up so much space.
  15. Great win for United at the weekend. Only blemishes are the Mkhit injury and that we could only score the one goal. Herrera, Pogba and Carrick as a midfield three look excellent. Herrera, in particular, was just awesome. He did everything yesterday. One of our most important players. However, Martial was actually awful yesterday. Darmian had a poor game, too. We had absolutely nothing from the left hand side of the pitch and near-enough all of the Spurs attacks came from that side. That does need sorting out.
  16. I've gone off this game big time. I truly think that in the search for realism and that replication of real-life football, EA have managed to suck the fun out of the game. I'm doing manager career mode at the moment and it's becoming a real drag. I just started a match where the opponents are pretty much camped within their own box. You can't take long range shots because the opponents just block EVERYTHING, you can't pass through because the movement is generally poor and there's no real space to move into due to the areas around the goal being overcrowded and you can't really use pace down the wings because the vast majority of players get out-muscled and out-paced by the defenders/opposition wingers. There are far too many instances of this happening and it just becomes repetitive and very chore-like. The result is that it becomes repetitive very quickly. You don't really have that feeling that you can score from anywhere, especially with the higher difficulties. I don't think changing tactics make a big enough difference either. This will probably be my last FIFA for a while unless they drastically improve it next time around.
  17. Congratulations! When is the big day for you and @Blade?
  18. Both DLCs and the base game were just magical. All three parts individually and combined are fantastic. I fucking LOVED roaming around Toussaint. The music. 10/10 game. My favourite game ever. CDProjektRed have my heart in a jar. I get cravings every now and again to go through the whole thing one more time...but then I remember how long the journey was.
  19. Wuuuh, so this is actually good? I put this on my Christmas list but put in brackets "but only if it's good"...I'm 99% sure that Ine hasn't got me this for Christmas as I think she has already got all of my gifts under the tree.
  20. That quote isn't really relevant any more due to the ability to patch games. A bad game at launch doesn't mean it'll be a bad game forever.
  21. I can't imagine anything worse than trying this in VR. Incredible atmosphere and tension. I was actually shaking and I think I'm usually pretty good with this sort of stuff usually.
  22. Maybe in Scotland. Almost everyone I know down here (United fans, rival fans and neutrals) agree that Moyes made a series of poor decisions which led to his downfall. Getting rid of the back room staff, giving Rooney a HUGE deal when he handed in his second transfer request, buying Fellaini AFTER missing an opportunity to get him for cheaper, not buying anyone else except for Fellaini which solved nothing, completely fucking up the Herrera deal when it was ready for him on a plate. To top it off, the football was dire. Everything was there for him to come in and steady the ship, but he made a mess of it himself. Nothing to do with Fergie setting the bar too high. Moyes' decision making cost him. Not a great result tonight. The football we're playing is the right kind, but we can't finish for shit. We're one fantastic striker short and it just happens to be the most important part that you need to win games.
  23. Just gave "Beginning Hour" another go as it's now been updated. My poor, poor heart. It can't take these scares.
  24. As in urgggh nooo, too much to play, my poor wallet, etc. I don't even think I'll get around to playing 3/4s of those.
