I do think it's awesome how they deal with larger follower Pokémon

Hey! You can't assume that I didn't choose... OK, yeah. No-one's ever going to believe that all 3 of my choices weren't an Inward Drifting Bike. Why even bother?
  3. 3 points
IN! How dare you! Who’s the other legend that chose Mario then? At least you all had good taste when it came to vehicle choice, I was worried we’d end up with a bike but not only did we get a kart, it’s also the best kart in the game. Well done everyone. Everyone but Glen-i that is.

NOTE: The race where 2 random people joined in has been recalculated to only count the 9 people from the League. Unlike last time, they were not anyone on my Friend List. But none of you are gonna fess up... @S.C.G is this week's Player who made no bloody difference. No amount of perfect attendance can save you from the cold hard truth of stability. @BowserBasher got his 10th second placing this week, while @viceview51 nailed 10 3rd places. Meanwhile, @Nintendo Fan barely claws his way back to 9th place. It's the last month of the first League this year. And your votes are in! It's the... Next League Night: 7th June 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @viceview51 MK League: Democracy Edition! Title not totally stolen from @Vileplume2000 N-Europe has spoken and now we all have to pay the price. But first, some statistics. I won't be naming names, that's completely up to you whether you want to disclose what you voted. You can now freely speak about the vote without penalty if you so wish. Egg Cup got the most votes, with Crossing and Triforce in 2nd and 3rd respectively. It's quite remarkable how all 3 cups are from the WiiU DLC. Guess you lot like those crossovers? Flower, Lightning, Shell and Banana all missed out by 1 vote. However, no-one voted for Mushroom or Bell. I'm honestly amazed that the Mii won! It wasn't even close! Given how often I see people are genuinely surprised to learn the Switch has a Mii Maker. Say it together with me... Yaaaaaaayyy! 2 of you chose Mario, you unimaginative buggers! Bowser Jr, Dry Bones, King Boo, Shy Guy, Yoshi and Koopa Troopa also got multiple votes. As impressive as the Mii's win was, it had nothing on the Pipe Frame! Battering all of it's competition, with over 50% of people choosing it. That N64 nostalgia is strong! The Blue Falcon came in 2nd place. 1 person voted for the Standard Kart. No, I don't know why. Standard Wheels barely scraped into 1st, with only 3 votes and so did the Bowser Kite. Those choices were quite divisive. That said, 2 people creepily chose the exact same 3 Gliders. Ooooohhhhhh. Who were they? Well, I know. But I'm not saying. You should be able to figure how well you lot did for the bonus points now. You get 2 points for voting and an extra 2 points for each apsect of the theme you successfully voted for. Your bonus points will be added to next weeks 3rd GP, but only if you take part. Don't miss out! 1 person got almost every vote spot on. Only missing out on one of the cups. That's 14 points! Dayum! Golden opportunity for you. 1 person also got 12 points. Unfortunately, one of you got absolutely none of your choices into the theme. You still get 2 points for taking part, but that's some hard luck! Sign up Now!

That’s pretty wild! A complete waste of the system’s performance (and battery) in portable mode, but it’s crazy to see even the portable mode crushing the Wii U version in terms of overall performance! (Similar FPS, but 2.5x the pixels). It’s easily the biggest jump from Wii U-Switch we’ve seen yet, but they really should put out a patch to sort out the resolution switch to 720p in portable mode. Supersampling is a completely stupid thing to do, where the image quality boost will be almost unnoticeable on a small screen and performance could get a huge boost by reducing the resolution.

Eevee as a Pokémon in game is pretty meh, but if I had a real life Eevee I'd be pretty happy.

Some are already enjoying this, while others, like me, are waiting for the physical release on 15 June. There's also the N-Europe review by @Vileplume2000! Really looking forward to this. It just looks too adorable, and I love some pinball action.

Nah, my problem is that nearly everything I buy now is digital so I don't tend to buy much at comic con anymore (maybe not such a bad thing I guess, meant I could buy a new phone afterwards). I'm in the middle of reading the John Byrne Man of Steel collections. I seem to be a lot more tolerant to the older style of writing this time around so I've been enjoying them.

A bit of creativity and freedom eh? Gravity Rush sounds like it might be up your alley then. Also Valkyria Chronicles was also an interesting bit of 3rd Person action. I never played past the first game and while the story was a bit bland the gameplay was certainly solid.

I think the legendary Pokemon show up post game but some of the levels will require some insane grinding. They go up to 35,000! Needless to say I haven't tackled them. I only got 1 more shiny and that was a brown rhyhorn.

The credits rolled earlier today. Man, there are some tough stages towards the end. There's a fight with 3 Dodrio that took me ages to get past. There are a surprising amount of options and tactics to get your head around, especially late game. I had to level up, swap moves about and farm a few specific materials in order to beat the game.

@Dcubed I just hate any kind of gimmicks in my Mario Tennis games. It's why the original game is still king in my eyes and why I think the series started going downhill starting with the GameCube iteration. Its a shame the matches that have none of the fluff aren't available to play in the demo. Not that I would really bother with it. I tend not to put time into demos where I know I'll be buying the game anyway.

I suppose it's probably made separate to match like-for-like. Also the game switches to a splitscreen view for local multi (ALA Wii Sports Tennis) in this mode, going by the past trailers. @Hero of Time, trick shots are super risky! The timing window for getting energy from it is extremely tight (And even the timing window for using it at all, where you'd lose energy from it, is still very tight!) and you also have to commit to it as soon as you start, you can't cancel it, which means that your opponent can actually take advantage of your own trick shot to screw you over... like how I did to someone I was about to lose against here The commitment here is the biggest thing. Because you can't cancel it, you're locked into whatever choice you've made; meaning that you have to really be thinking one step ahead of your opponent to actually be able to make use of it. Add on the need for proper positioning (it only works if you're at least 1/3-1/2 the length of the court away from the ball in one of 4 cardinal directions), the wind up/wind down time and the length/speed of the animation (both of which are different for each character!) and the need to balance energy usage and you've got yourself a pretty fantastic mechanic I reckon! There's a ton of risk/reward to manage with it! The mindgames in this game are crazy! They're so nuts that Camelot have actually managed to make a tennis game where letting your opponent win certain games or even sets on purpose can actually be a viable tactic! I noticed that too @RedShell! The HD Rumble is really well done here!

For what it's worth. Eevee is one of my least favourite Pokemon. It's so boring. Kecleon is too awesome for you anyway. Man, I wish I could say that without having to qualify that with a "in Mystery Dungeon games" ORAS really should have given it a Mega evolution...
