jayseven Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Have you never watched a film from start to beginning? You get so much more out of it. It really speaks to you. Start to beginning does give you a better picture of the movie as a whole You guys are right. I did that with Free Willy 3 and it was one of the best films I've ever seen! Watched the big lebowski on dvd last night. i now know where J7 gets his dress sense and overall inspiration Brilliant film too 8/10 The dude... abides. Bleh, currently watching The Golden Compass, but I don't find it very interesting. The story just seems to jump around too much from one thing to another, plus I don't like the girl (and pretty much most of the other characters). Is Wall-E out already in the UK? It's not out here until the 30th. =( And next week is Dark Knight, but I still haven't found anyone to go with me to see either of the movies. I forgot to book advanced screening tickets, so now they're all gone! Noo! ... So I guess I'll try seeing it thursday or friday Day After Tomorrow and Buffy The Vampire Slayer are on film 4 now, for the lols.

Yup Although im not getting to see it until Weds But then probably again on Friday. But in the meantime watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall (...) again. Fun times. "Off to find the mythical cliterous!" Still an 8 or so.
Babooo Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Forbidden Kingdom Quite a good movie. Jackie Chan and Jet Li are good. Lead actor not so great. 7.5/10 Just watched this too...not bad. Fight scenes were good, but as you said, white american kid is annoying. His face annoys me. But Jackie Chan and Jet Li were awesome, as were those buff chinese chicks! man, they're hot! 6.5/10 Also watched Indiana Jones: The Temple of Doom. Good film. Dunno if its as good as the first...lady character is slightly annoying as is the chinese kid but towards the end, they were bearable. Found this one really funny though...so joke! 9/10
Wesley Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I really want to go watch Wall-E again. I was looking forward to it for so long and it actually delivered! It actually delivered! This shit never happens to me!
Ashley Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Mean Girls. Worth it for the eye candy alone. And the Tina Fey awesomeness. Can't wait til Baby Mama Never realised that was Jason Batemen at the end of Forgetting Sarah Marshall last time. And the credits has 'Nothing Compares To You' sung in Hawaiian. Random.
EEVILMURRAY Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Tina Fey would get a plowing, there's the bit where she seems to compliment herself so heavily it hurts, y'know, since she wrote the screenplay an' all.
Chris the great Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 there will be blood. i feel bad saying this but, i was bored rather a lot. the acting was great but oh my god the film could have ended an hour earlier. there were great moments, and the whole menace of day lewis was fantastic. but the story was just to slow for my blood. 6/10

She's not bad for her age, and considering she just had a child. But I'd say kudos to her. She's had an impressive career and managed to stay fairly level headed and was a huge supporter in the strikes. Anyway. I'll shush now. I'm just rambling.
mariosmentor Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Soylent Green Love this movie, for some reason it feels like a love child between Blade Runner and Logans Run. Not plot wise though :P 9/10 Also watched Dark Star which is one of my all time favourite movies. 10/10 guess I'm in a bit of a Sci-Fi mood. Feel the need for some Red Dwarf :P
MoogleViper Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Just watched this too...not bad. Fight scenes were good, but as you said, white american kid is annoying. His face annoys me. Dog-amoto Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Watched 3 films yesterday - had a lazy day: Flushed Away - 8/10 Alien Resurrection - 6/10 Nuns on the Run - 6/10
Girly hiyaz!~ Gamer Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 the dark knight - 9/10 so much better than i expected.
shaq365 Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 I hope that's a porno. Nah - that's Nuns With The Runs. Things get prettyyyy messy...
Aimless Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Children of Men Finally! I've been been meaning to see this since its release and today I actually did. It paints a believable world, the acting is great and it's also technically amazing. It's a fantastic movie, and that's really all that needs to be said. Watch it. 1/6,000,000,000
Chris the great Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 no country for old men good film, but an ending would have been nice. those cohen brother, what a pair. 8/10
Klimop Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 The ending is the best part of the movie ... !!! Be kind Rewind, entertaining (just what i needed) Lynch short stories (pt 1) Lynch Lynch Lynch Team America, better than expected, it made me laugh, still...
Ashley Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 The Pixar Story Documentary about the history of Pixar (released last year but im guessing wrapped long beforehand as it finished with briefly saying "and then they did Cars and it was a success"). Learnt some things and re-learnt Steve Jobs has a large part of Disney. That always slips my mind. Was inspiring though and I think animation may be where I want to be at in the future. Hmm! 8
gaggle64 Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Lonely Guy Only Steve Martin, the true Steve Martin, the Steve Martin that used to run wild and free in the bush lands around LA and hunt yuppies for meat before he was finally subdued by daring executives and fed from a box made of money, only THAT Steve Martin could do a brilliantly surreal and hilarious comedy about loneliness and the related suicidal depression. Beats the shit out of Bowfinger.
Cube Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 re-learnt Steve Jobs has a large part of Disney. That always slips my mind. WALL-E should remind you even more.

Aimless Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 1/6,000,000,000? jeez, that's a pretty low score, dude... Clearly you aren't au fait with my nonsensical scoring system. It's actually an incredibly scathing take on current review methodology and meaningless numerical grades. Yes.
Mundi Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Clearly you aren't au fait with my nonsensical scoring system. It's actually an incredibly scathing take on current review methodology and meaningless numerical grades. Yes. Truly the mechanism of a madman.... I prefer rolling a dice.
Aimless Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Truly the mechanism of a madman.... I prefer rolling a dice. My 'scores' always relate to the film in question, though. They're just there to entertain people. Well, me.
