These rules are completely stupid for Game Boy vs Game Boy Color/Hybrid games.  If you apply the same logic to the DS/DSi and the 3DS/New3DS; you have to lop off almost a third of their respective libraries!

 

You end up with the absurd situation where Pokemon Black/White are not DS games! You end up with the idiotic situation where Xenoblade 3D is not a 3DS game.  Hell, you end up with the utterly ludicrous situation where Super Smash Bros For Nintendo 3DS IS NOT A 3DS GAME!!

 

Oh, and you can also end up with the hilarious scenario where Link's Awakening can actually win these votes twice too!

 

This is completely stupid! GB/GBC games should just be lumped together!

Game Boy Color games alone have more titles than the entirety of the NES lineup.

And you're making a lot of assumptions about how I'm gonna handle games like Link's Awakening.

In other words, I know what I'm doing, trust in my logic.

(I support the decision of splitting the GB with the GB Colour on the basis that their libraries are really good, and this gives me the opportunity to nominate more games, and reduce my already-enormous shortlist. Also, the GameBoy is my favourite console ever, and more Game Boy is more life)

Glen-i is right on the money: reducing this list to 5 is stupidly difficult.

  • Metroid II: The Return of Samus
  • Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
  • Pokémon Red/Blue
  • Tetris
  • Mole Mania

I kept debating which one of the GB's wonderful platform games should make the cut... and yet none made it to my Top 5! Crazy.

Once again, some pretty solid selections so far from everyone. :D

Seeing as there's only a few days left, I thought that I should get on and choose some Game Boy games.

Here are my picks...

  • The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
