Rummy Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Would be quite happy to see Shulk if it is as I think XC was fantastic. Would it be the new or the old though!
Blade Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I think Shulk would be a great addition along with the monado has his weapon. Probably won't though as he's like been in one single game.
Glen-i Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Oh, never mind, looks like Monday's reveal will be Shulk instead of Chrom. The director of Xenoblade @Glen\-i's visions will come to pass ) IS IT HAPPENING!? I can't take this amount of excitement! This is going to make the wait unbearable! Oh, the humanity! This might just be bigger than Greninja! And I went NUTS over Greninja. And now I'm thinking about all the music they could choose. I want Mechanical Rhythm in my Smash so much, it hurts!
drahkon Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I still want Kalas to be in the game. And then we can talk about music in Smash Bros. Audio Audio Audio
-Dem0- Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I've learnt one thing from this discussion; I need to play Xenoblade.
Blade Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I've learnt one thing from this discussion; I need to play Xenoblade. I need to actually finish it haha!
Glen-i Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I've learnt one thing from this discussion; I need to play Xenoblade. If you like RPG's, you really do owe it to yourself to give it a good go. It's a big game, so you might want to prepare for a 70+ hour game. (Plus, it's got some fine voice actors in there. Lovely and British! It confused some Americans, which was hilarious.)
Gizmo Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Is Xenoblade a Wii game? I might need to look into it also. Some battles in the game are hilarious; I took 3 attempts to get any basic Pokemon in my starting hand, then finally got a single Ratata. Opponent started with a Zubat, he had nothing else either and I made it through the confusion coin toss and won the whole thing in < 20 seconds...

Guy Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 The Wii U and 3DS versions of this will be available to play at Hyper Japan in London on 25, 26 and 27th July. Groupon currently has an offer for two tickets for £12, which is 12pm-7pm on Friday, or half a day on Saturday. I'll be there Friday as long as my company doesn't decide to move offices then.
bryanee Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 The EVO finals are making my hype as fuck for this game and I don't even like the Smash series lol.
Serebii Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Pic of the day. In order to make Rayman's trophy, we asked Ubisoft to share their references. We were expecting to receive 2D drawing references for Rayman, but to our surprise, they sent us data of a brand new 3D model that they rendered for this game!! And that was how this trophy was created. It takes a lot of work creating each model, so it's wonderful that the creators contributed their own efforts!!
Dcubed Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 THE HELL!? THAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THERE!!! What the hell!? What? W h y?
Serebii Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Maybe he'll reveal that he's a playable character 8 months after launch...
markderoos Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 OK, that came out of nowhere I can't see Rayman only remaining a trophy now. Only explanation would be him being playable... True, he does fit in, but there was never a Rayman exclusive on a Nintendo platform, or was there?
Cube Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 What a random inclusion for a trophy. As for exclusive games, there was Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party.
S.C.G Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 THE HELL!? THAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THERE!!! What the hell!? What? W h y? My exact reaction to this as well... Rayman? A Ubisoft character... in a Nintendo game... But not just ANY Nintendo game, no... it looks like he's in Super Smash Bros?!? At a time when relations between the two companies are not exactly stellar, or so we thought? This must have been on the cards for a while even if he does turn out to be just a trophy. Still though... I don't know what to think any more.
Cube Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Still, I think that they should have not mentioned this. Imagine playing the game and seeing the Rayman trophy pop up?

Which is probably why he's a trophy and not playable or an assist :p
Jonnas Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 What!? What the hell? Holy shit, that's awesome! Please make him DLC! Even if he wasn't planned for the initial game, make him DLC!
Ike Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 At a time when relations between the two companies are not exactly stellar Exactly what I thought, feels a little insulting to be honest.
f00had Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 sucks I'm gonna be at work when it airs, will have to try and somehow find the video without it actually spoiling who the character is when I finish
Glen-i Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Soooo... I'm in the minority of people one who sees this as pretty cool? In order to make Rayman's trophy, we asked Ubisoft to share their references. We were expecting to receive 2D drawing references for Rayman, but to our surprise, they sent us data of a brand new 3D model that they rendered for this game!! And that was how this trophy was created.[/center] You've got to hand it to the Rayman team, they really don't do things by halves. Which is super ironic, considering they're owned by Ubisoft... (I'm right in thinking it was Ubisoft's fault Legends took so long to release and not the guys who made the game, aren't I? Something about them being forced to hold off on the WiiU Release until the PS3 and 360 one's were finished?)
RedShell Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 This Rayman thingy is pretty interesting. I wonder if something is cooking between Nintendo and Ubisoft then... It seems pretty strange to include Rayman (even if it is just as a trophy) otherwise.
