Early days to be asking, but what are peoples thoughts on DLC for GTAV? What would you like to see added to the game?

It's probably been mentioned in this thread already, but I'd like to see a use for the horse racing track and casinos in the game. Perhaps they could be come more properties to invest in?

Would like to see the Prison feature for something, perhaps a mission to break out one of Trevors long lost relatives who you can then do stranger / freak missions for.

And probably the biggest ask and I can't see it happening, but would like to see an add on along the lines of Oblivion(shivering Isles) in which they add a new city or part to the game. And in particular either San Fierro or Las Venturas. Just a short flight or drive away a new city to explore.

But yeah I genuinely don't think we'll ever see a HD incarnation of Venturas or Fierro.

This!

We'll probably see another character added. With missions for him (her?) alone, meeting people like Lamar.

And then he (she?) might/will do stuff with Trevor, Franklin and Michael. Hoping for new heists.

And of course: New weapons. There are empty slots in AmmuNation. Hovering over them will give you a prompt to check out the PSN store.

I want a flamethrower!

Ideally more story missions because I really like the characters from V and want to see them do more, but I don't think is going to happen. I'd also like more of those random encounters added to the map, I really enjoyed just driving around and finding people that would lead to its own small contain story.

But yeah, most of all I would like Las Venturas added to the map but its very unlikely.

A Casino heist story line, played out along the lines of the oceans11/12/13 movies would be pretty awesome.

Trevor - In charge of underground drilling and raiding of the safe

Micheal & Amanda - Distraction within the casino, Act as customers, update crew on security movements

Franklin - Getaway responsibilities.

Packie - Infiltrate casinos, acquire a job at the casino

Lester - Technology & hacking

no nono i was trying to be funny, the paid for online packs are named after animals, the £14 $1.5million dollar money pack is called a great white shark pack, poor joke but my point was IF i could buy anything called a shark in game it would be to keep in a pool, not a paid for money pack

crap joke:hmm:

Damn, you had my hopes up.

Still, got a full day to play tomorrow which will be fun. Many heists and missions to be done, many properties to buy. And maybe, just maybe will get eaten by a shark.

We should make a game

Done the off road races! Insanely fun :D Need to do one jet ski race and two street races. Will get to that soon :)

A dcl would be a perfect oppurtunity to use a heroine for the first time.

It's great how I still find new random encounters. There's a lot more than those 19 you need for 100%.

I would definitely like to see this! The first thing I did when I got the game was drive far far north and then I saw a casino went to it and couldn't get in was gutted.

As for other DLC I'll have to wait till I'm further before I can pass judgement on that...still not far enough.

reunited Michael and Trevor

I do not want any kind of Zombie DLC.

The Casino sounds like a great idea. Perhaps with a Casino heist they could have one where you have to fix some horse races, too.

DLC will probably be bigger than just a few extra missions. They'll probably be almost completely separate games like TLOD and TBOGT. Probably based on characters we've already met in passing.

Just snapped this off-screen pic from my game:

Sometimes the scenery in GTA V is almost too good to be true. :o

I think I'll have to give this a try in a bit.

I managed to do that today, only got massive air once though (from many attempts). It ain't easy getting it to work, which is unfortunate as it's bloody entertaining.

Also, had to try this:

Which is much easier to pull off than the car launch glitch, and just as fun.

Aye... it's no Just Cause 2

It doesn't even come close. GTA V is a beautifully designed map, while JC2 was just a dreary empty wasteland.

Really? GTAV's map is like 90-95% poorly designed, low texture patterned filler. No idea on JC2's map, but with GTA they're clearly going for scale while forgoing quality.

You clearly haven't played the game properly. Empty wasteland? You must be thinking about Fallout, Cube... oO

I've spent over 50 hours playing JC2 without ever having completed a single mission, all because of how incredibly beautiful the world is to explore.

There's just no possible comparison, GTA V has a pretty world, but Just Cause 2's world is a masterpiece of design, especially with it's lusciously varied landscapes. Deserts, Icy mountains, tropical jungles (and rivers) and a metropolitan city.

GTA is designed to impress the casual gamers, while JC2 is a love letter to open world games an it's fans. I didn't really understand JC2 at first, as I tried playing it and ended up dismissing it as just a dumb action game... BUT, I figured there had to be a reason for GAF to love it so much and Hellfire kept pushing me to try it again, so I gave it another shot and goddamn that thing is pretty. I don't think I've ever spent as much time doing absolutely nothing in any game.

Can't speak much for the game itself, though, I've never played any missions apart from the first hour or so, lol. The map, though... is just incredible. I mean:

@Sheikah, check this video out (just check some bits and pieces out, obviously, don't watch the 40 mins, lol). The game is constantly going for less than 3£ on Steam and it's completely worth it, even if it's just for the map alone.

Edit - GTA is better in many regards, like the people that inhabit the city which are funnier and feel more alive, what with the humorous remarks and all that, but as far as beauty's concerned, there's absolutely no contest, imo.

I'm with Cube on this one. It was fun messing around in Just Cause 2, but I didn't enjoy exploring the map at all, with its ugly cities, boring jungles and repetitive enemy bases.

Wait, this isn't about that, I'm just saying JC2's world is more beautiful.(The tropical island setting is just breathtaking!) The exploration itself is lame, as there's nothing organic or spontaneous about it (and gta is better in this regard, though it still feels less alive than it should). It's just the perfect game when you want to space out to some gorgeous vistas, especially with all the mobility you have and the awesome flying controls. You should try rolling up a doobie and blasting some pink floyd and just take a tour around JC2's world, it's magical!! Everything is so beautiful!

Edit: Rockstar's prettiest game world is probably RDR, now that I think about it...

I'd like to see Naughty Dog making an open world game... That'd be a real treat!

Had some more issues with pop up graphics last night. Was driving over a bridge away from the police and half the visuals basically didn't load up. At one point a gate loaded whilst I was in the middle of it.

It's pretty disappointing that it doesn't run well on older Xboxes.

I really really want someone to figure out what all these mystery's are in the game.

I know that...

There are 3 UFO's that you can see, and a 4th one crashed in the sea, and apparently there is some sort of space car you get when you collect all the UFO pieces.

But there's so much. Does Epsilon and Acultis link with this stuff? And what's with the shacks with the number 8 and all the references to 8.

Well I got it, unwrapped it, played and as predicted I was bored senselessly by it. I don't know why I give these games a go every single time. It is incredibly impressive, technically it's phenomenal. but the game is so so dull to me and incredibly adolescent. The writing, characters and humour are so painfully childish. And just reaffirms my hatred of Open world games. It's on ebay now. Oh well. Until next time Rockstar!

How long did you play it for before you gave up on it?

The reason I ask is that I felt the same about all of GTAIV and when I first played GTAV, it seemed exactly the same for the first few missions and I was really disappointed, thinking its another boring GTA before the game started to come into its own.
