MoogleViper Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Nooo surely not?! Yes he has, and don't call me Shirley.
Oxigen_Waste Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Yes he has, and don't call me Shirley. Stop calling.
Dyson Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Yes he has, and don't call me Shirley. Thankyooou
MoogleViper Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I was waiting for someone to set it up.
heroicjanitor Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I didn't know who he was until you made that Shirley joke, he was awesome! One of the funniest actors I've ever seen. Actually I'm confusing him with Steve Martin... Still awesome though.
Jon Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I hearby proclaim today as a national day of mourning.
Murr Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Wow.... that is not cool. Was only watching Scary Movie 3 this weekend (not his best film i know) and thinking he was getting on a bit. R.I.P
ReZourceman Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I FUCKING HATE THIS SHIT. FUCK THIS. NO. NOOOOO. FFS. I just....ugh. Hate so fucking much. One of, if not the absolute number 1 legend of comedy. I hate this fucking shit.
Diageo Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Oh no. This is the first celebrity death I've actually cared about.
Happenstance Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Damn, just one of those actors that you figured would be around forever
Ganepark32 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Terrible news. Always been a fan of his movies. A true comedy genius. I foresee a Naked Gun marathon today/this evening. In remembrance then, here's one of my favourite moments from the Naked Gun films (although it's all pretty much priceless): Dr. Mainheimer: "It's a terrible thing that's happened here, Lieutenant. I do hope you will find the people responsible." Frank: "I'm sorry I can't be more optimistic, Doctor, but we've got a long road ahead of us. It's like having sex. It's a painstaking and arduous task that seems to go on and on forever, and just when you think things are going your way, nothing happens."
Iun Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 My word... I was watching Airplane only last Friday. Crazy. RIP.
Guy Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 My reaction to this news was not pleasant. I'm actually a little bit surprised at how upset this has made me. I always saw Leslie Nielsen as someone who could never be defeated by mortality. Missed an opportunity to meet him recently too, which only makes this worse. Death sucks.
S.C.G Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 R.I.P Leslie Nielsen... you were a living legend in life and even in death you'll never be forgotten, just remembered even more fondly both Airplane! and Naked Gun shall be your ever-lasting legacy of comedy while you'll also never be forgotten for Forbidden Planet and The Poseidon Adventure which in many ways cemented your career in films from that point onwards. So long as those films continue to be watched and enjoyed by many - which I'm sure they shall - then you'll never truly die.
