Fierce_LiNk
My main passion has been and probably always will be music. There's just something about listening to music that seems otherworldly. I think it's the way everything is structured together, the way all the sounds come together at specific moments to create that defining "sound." Right now, I've got Massive Attack's Teardrop playing in the background, and the way the drums seem to carry on throughout, along with the "de-de deee" sound you hear faintly at around 2:40-ish, it's just brilliant. Playing music is also immensly fun, I think my spiritual instrument will always be the drums, but I don't get as much of a chance to play as I should do. When I get my very on place, the first babe that will be moving in with me will be the same drumkit I've had since I was 16/17. She's coming along for the ride. Raining_again
Is there something that you are really passionate about? Talk about it here! Tip; As this is a video games forum, if your main passion is video games, why not talk about something different? We talk about video games all the time! Colouring my hair - As we all know i love dying my hair mad colours. Maybe i'll train to be a hairdresser, I don't think i'll do it as a career tho. Piercings & tattoos - Got 5 sets of piercings (nose x2, rook, lip and lobes) Despite recent problems I've had with my piercings i still love em. I have two tattoos, but due to skin problems I haven't got too many. Computers: Just love taking em to bits, modding and general computer awesomes. ^____^
gaggle64
Still a helpless F1 addict. If anything I'm getting more enthralled by it as I get older. My every-other Sunday afternoon is typically spent "making loud noises at random intervals", according to my friends.

Patch
Any other chess players out there? I used to play quite a bit. It's one of those things I would do more if I wasn't helplessly addicted to doing other stuff.
Ellmeister
I really need to read the eragon books again but I know I won't. I'm not really a fan of read books over and over because I know whats going to happen. There have been a few though like the first eragon which I've read twice. And the righteous men by Sam Bourne I've read 3 times because I love it. Other than that once I read it, thats it for the book it goes to the shelf! I'll just wiki the story nearer the time of the release

There was this old chessboard in my years area in highschool, and every break time we'd play different matches.
EEVILMURRAY
I have a few chess implements. A computerised one, a Simpsons chess, and a nice professional looking one which has never been used. There's just no one to play.
Columnar
Well apart from playing games and researching all I can about them my other really big passion is for Australia's finest export - KYLIE!!! (hence the picture of Cammy - I love Street Fighter & Ms. Minogue). I've always liked her and I'm going to see her in Manchester on July 14th. Everyone who knows me knows I love Kylie so when I'm not talking about games I'm usually talking about her. I'm also fascinated with Space and the Universe - if I was smart enough I would have loved to have been able to work @ NASA.
Olympic Gamer
Reading manga, I some how prefer it as you can lay down all comfortable and snuggly and lay your eyes on whatever you want. Of course, being here with said username also implies I am a gamer of olympic proportions. I also practice satanic rituals.
Eenuh
Only hobby/passion I have or have time for is art. I love to draw and paint and feel sad when I don't have time to do so. Like right now. Other than that, nothing really, since I'm a sad human being. D:
Supergrunch
Right, I probably make most of my interests abundantly clear, but here goes: Linguistics - Yay for language and the study of it. I spend a lot of time on this. Japanese - Fun language, lovely syntax. Would also like to learn (or in some cases get better at) other languages, notably French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Korean, Icelandic, Sanskrit, Latin, Ancient Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Portuguese, Esperanto. Evolution - Also yay. This gets really fun, I love arms races and evolutionary genetics. Also keen on some anthropological aspects of human evolution. Science in general - Good too. I'm more focused on the biology side of things, but find some other aspects interesting, notably the Schrodinger equation and some of the mathematical treatments of thermodynamics. Am also somewhat interested in a few bits of physics I've picked up here and there. Maths - Good and pure. Don't know that much, but am interested in logically rigorous proofs and symmetry theory. Reading - Good stuff, be it fiction or non-fiction. I read various authors, but am keen on Nabokov and Murakami. Would like to read more Kafka, along with various other classics. Anime (and manga, visual novels etc.) - Some of this is great, though I tend to like more niche shows. Favourites are Welcome to the NHK, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, and CLANNAD. I wish the whole porn factor (including fan service) was less prevalent, as it just cheapens things. The CLANNAD game knows how to do things properly. Go - Black stones + White stones = endless fun, though preferably a board should be involved. Once you get to a certain strength this game grabs you and refuses to let go. An avid reader nightwolf? I've just counted 103 books in my room here at uni. Not counted the lounge, nor my shelves at home - considering I've got the first 30 pratchett books... Game on! Hmm, I count around 100 currently in my room, most of which I am currently reading... then there're probably 500 odd left in my room at home, and around the house. (yeah, it's bascially just a room full of book stacks) Anyway, well past time for me to shut up I think.
jayseven
Any other chess players out there? I used to play quite a bit. It's one of those things I would do more if I wasn't helplessly addicted to doing other stuff. I've played about 50 games via facebook, and have an acceptable record. I know I've imporved vastly thanks to the application, but I also know I have a lot of room to get a lot better. Grunchie; 500 books at home? But can you claim to have purchased all 500 of them? :P my dad has over a thousand books but I do not count them in my conclusion. SO NER!
EEVILMURRAY
Sweet, Id like to see that. Green colour schemes = whin. Ask and j00 shall recieve. This is just the normal basecoat of two greens and one red. Lighter red remixed on top. Teeth basecoated brown and toxin sacs painted in Scorpion green. Teeth painted and eyes touched up a little. Slightly closer image of above. Arms reattached in sexy poses. Sexy highlighting on back and head carapace. Bases pimped up. Fin. I'll varnish them later today. Dannyboy-the-Dane
I have noticed your love for linguistics, Supergrunch. I also find it very interesting and I am studying Latin and Ancient Greek in my STX at the moment. My most prevalent hobby would be nerding. It's a term I have come up with to describe what I do: Surf the internet and Wikipedia for knowledge about random stuff that I'm interested in. An example: Yesterday, I read Wookieepdeia's articles on the seven forms of lightsaber combat, learning the basic principles of each: Form I: Shii-Cho - The basic form. Taught to all Jedi even before Youngling training. No weaknesses, "its simplicity is its strength". Form II: Makashi - The elegant form. Ideal for lightsaber duelling. Form III: Soresu - The defensive form. Gives the Jedi almost impenetrable defense. Prolonged battles of defending while wearing out the opponent. Form IV: Ataru - The agressive form. Makes use of acrobatics, using the Force to enhance almost all body movements. The acrobatics often leave the Jedi's defenses open and also quickly wear the Jedi out. Form V: Shien / Djem So - The powerful form. An offensive take on Soresu. Has two different versions with same primary focus: To turn the opponent's attacks against himself and dominate him. Requires physically powerful moves and attacks. Form VI: Niman - The diplomat's form. A balanced form with no weak sides. Emphasises equal training in all areas of lightsaber combat. Ideal for diplomats who spend more time on politics than on combat training. Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad - The ferocious form. Juyo was the original form, considered by many to be incomplete, and rarely used. Mace Windu developed Vaapad from Juyo. Perhaps the most difficult form to master. Makes use of the agression, love for battle and other dark side feelings inside the Jedi and turns them into a weapon of the light side. Incredibly difficult to control without falling to the dark side. Why did I post a short description of the seven forms? I honestly don't know. I also nerd other topics, though usually typical nerd-areas of interest: The Matrix, RPG, Nintendo, games, and many things Japanese. I am particularly fond of Asian martial arts and have studied karate, though I do not have the time for it at the moment. I wish to continue when I finish my STX, though.
