Do you think that they might shoe-horn in the Vita TV device for Europe as well during the same announcement and then set to launch it on the same date as the new screen Vita perhaps?

Getting your daily news online... fancy that! :p

*sigh* They don't need to get rid of the Gamepad really, it's as if people are saying that it's as useless as Kinect 2.0 with the Xbox One which is simply not the case... :p in the case of XB1 I really don't see any advantages to Kinect 2.0 as even though it might be more accurate, it's still essentially doing the same things that no one really seemed to be that bothered about in the first place. With the gamepad however, only recently I have been enjoying The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker not only in stunning HD for the first time but with the map right in front of me on a separate screen which I can interact with at a moments notice or just look down briefly for reference, maybe swap out an inventory item or two all instantly while I'm still free to use the Pro Controller which I use for most games. Even in that above example the gamepad is still an essential part of the experience to me and I'm sure many others, to other games it is integral to the experience within games such as Zombi U, Nintendoland, Lego City plus The Wonderful 101 for the most-part. The solution is not simply to 'get rid of it' but for Nintendo to embrace it more in other games soon after the release of Mario Kart 8/Super Smash Bros U - as these are games which will 'use' it but not integrally - with more original titles but in the short-term at least reduce the price to a much more reasonable - in the eyes of the general consumer - price of between £179.99 - £199.99 with a new games that people will buy the system for. Now it's over to Nintendo who at least in business terms need to 'stand and deliver' else it could be a choice between losing a bit of money in the short-term or what could be one of their last lives... we all know which they have a more ready, stock-piled supply of. I certainly wouldn't count them out though, not ever... I still want and expect them to be around in another decade when surely another golden age will be upon us, perhaps we'll all look back at this moment wondering what all the fuss was about, perhaps not but Nintendo has to survive somehow as otherwise the games industry won't be worth investing in any more; at least not for me anyway. : peace:

Remember way back in the GC era when Nintendo started selling this... For roughly £129.99 or less I believe at the time. Well how about... + And a free digital download of the original Super Mario Kart - assuming it's out by then - for £179.99? (£214.99 in-store at Game) :p Job done! : peace:

You're in for a community scolding? *deep breath* I have NEVER played a Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney title... ever... in my life-time. *exhales* Ah I feel much better now getting that off my chest... ...now where's a good place to hide? :p
-
So I started trying to get a bit more back 'into' Wii Fit U today which is fine but in the daily tips the balance board says something along the lines of... 'Have you by any chance been storing me vertically? It's fine but it can play havok with my circuitry...' lol-whut... Is this even true? I only ask because really I have a limited amount of space here, I could store it flat though to be on the safe side from now on but I was just curious as to if there was actually any truth to it... at all. :p

*sigh* Yet another pre-order bonus that I'll track down on eBay and then buy when I spy one that's dirt cheap - around £3 inc postage - as there's no way I'll pre-order it there (Game) and pay probably £7 more than I would if I went with ShopTo...

Ninja Gaiden II Hands down one of the best games on the system. : peace: Aside from that... Bioshock series Mass Effect trilogy Assuming you haven't played them already of course, if you have then I'd just refer you back to Ninja Gaiden II...

I stumbled across a rather chuckle-worthy news post on ShopTo news... http://www.shopto.net/news/45116/Rate-the-Rumour-Nintendo-working-on-new-console-and-handheld Thrip if necessary but I highly doubt it :p I mean clearly Nintendo will be working on their next console(s) but with those specs?

#02 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Super Mario Sunshine)
S.C.G replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I actually have really fond memories of Super Mario Sunshine even though if you asked me to draw a map of how the general hub layout was I would probably struggle after the first right corner that you take at the start of the plaza. What I do remember though is being able to jump between the rooftops with the aid of the magnificent FLUDD device which was as much fun to use as it was awe-inspiring at the time to be able to control the actual flow of the water using the pressure sensitive analogue triggers! It's this game alone which makes me wonder why on earth Nintendo didn't include pressure sensitive triggers on the Wii U's controllers but I already know the answer plus I don't wish to dig up that old debate but just at the time all I know is that it was mesmerising. Riding on Yoshi was even made more memorable because of the ability to projectile vomit fruit juice, which in writing sounds disgusting but in a Nintendo game it somehow becomes magical, what was also a nice addition I found was that Yoshi automatically ate fruit when you were near it, just like in Super Mario World with the apples - if I remember this correctly - which I found to be a nice throwback plus they obviously earned extra points just for having the popular dinosaur in the game due to him being a taunting extra just out of reach for anyone who properly finished Super Mario 64 back in the day. Cleaning up Isle Delfino was another thing that could only be made fun by Mario but even beyond this it was other things such as the whole place being interconnected, each area could be placed geographically within the resort - if you can recall where all the places were at least unlike me - plus there were many secrets waiting to be uncovered including the blue coins but the main joy came from simply playing one of the most revolutionary Mario games ever made that has long been misunderstood and should be properly enjoyed by all if it is ever granted a re-release by some small miracle. Verdict: Any game which lets you make the main character do a 'seal' impression by repeatedly jumping while belly-sliding deserves a high rating in my books. 95/100 -
The vines in that image to me very much remind me of elements from the Metroid series - Metroid Prime in particular but could be Super Metroid also - but other than that I'm stumped.

Nintendo are clearly not used to people buying their retail games digitally. (At their original prices I'm not surprised either!) #nextgen! :p

The 3DS seems to be doing just fine, of course there is always a balance to be struck between how much time is spent developing for each console but overall I would say that it needs to be a 70% / 30% development ratio in favour of the Wii U right now which should only level out to being more even once there are a few more decent games released on the Wii U, namely Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. Besides I currently have quite a decent backlog on the 3DS, at least five amazing titles which I need to find the time to play, on the Wii U my main priorities are finishing Zelda and Pikmin 3 but after that...

I thought Art Aademy: Sketchpad was only supposed to be a taster of what the full software would be like when it eventually releases, are they now not going to release the fuller, expanded version? I deliberately held off buying sketchpad for that reason, plus the fact that you can only save a few pictures at a time I heard... I'd quite like to be able to save limitless amounts as I have a hard drive for my Wii U.
-
Attempted to fix it for you... It still looks like it has a 'Virtual Boy' filter over it though. :p
-
Not a bad haul Derek I managed to get myself a copy of Pikmin 3 in that same 'sale' for £3.38 after discount, I was very pleased, picked up a couple of reasonable DVD's/Blu Ray's for only a pound or two each as well.

I didn't think I'd be posting here for a while but I did actually get a reply! We've been messaging on and off for the past few hours since then Obviously I don't want to speak too soon as it's entirely possible something dumb will happen like I'll accidentally scare her off perhaps :p - though I hope not - but for now we're just talking about interests etc and all is good. So I'm currently quite 'content' I suppose...
-
R.I.P Roger Lloyd-Pack. I always found it funny in the instances where Trigger would refer to Rodney as 'Dave' in Only Fools and Horses... :p

Happy Birthday! Fierce_Link I hope your day is better than a Bullet-Bill being fired!

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

Also it's worth noting that with the sheer high number of 3DS units sold, that then means less people to potentially sell to - not including serial system-transfer(ers) - so it's not that surprising really surely? -
General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

I already have it, Resogun is fantastic but I'm looking forward to buying my first retail game for the system that I've actually chosen and that isn't bundled, Killzone isn't bad but... it's still launch-fodder at best. I've played Resogun a hell of a lot more than that, with it being a digital title it really speaks volumes about how little the PS4 actually had at launch, heck the Wii U had a better launch line-up. :p But I digress, I didn't buy a PS4 for the average launch selection, I bought it for the long-term potential. -

inFamous had better hit its end of March date, it's the only game that I really want for my PS4 at the moment and I thought that it was basically set in stone by now... if it does get delayed though, oh well. Just means that it will be all the more worth the wait I suppose. -
So its already been released in the US, it's heading for Japan, but no mention of Europe? We need a petition... ...to keep it from being released here. :p
-
Wii U's 'killer app' for sure. :p
-
I know of at least ten people who bought the game - mostly on N-E - so in terms of those sales figures, for Wii U it was a huge commercial success! :p
