^ All the above information sounds pretty good, the only thing I'm unsure of is the 'managing air supply' while underwater... I'm sure this was not an issue in the original DKC trilogy plus DCKR didn't have any underwater levels so it seems to me that Retro have taken it upon themselves to alter quite a significant part of the 'series' I know that technically they are separate series but I like to think that they carry on in one big line. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I hope having to worry about air while underwater doesn't ruin how the game plays somehow.

The thing is though... if they were to do this then they obviously wouldn't say so straight away because it would impact on sales, because given the choice between buying let's say twenty 3D classics at £4.50 each which would come to £90 (maybe just under £80 if more are the same price as Sonic was £4.09) or a collection including ALL of them for £32.99 then it's obvious which one to choose especially if there wasn't very long to wait. For now I think I'll just stick with buying Ecco the Dolphin and Galaxy Force II but I think as the weeks go by I'll probably end up caving in so that I buy more of them as they are fantastic. But all I'm saying is, imagine that you bought them ALL and spent a huge amount on them only to find out that the more reasonably priced collection in physical form is just around the corner, I know I'd be pissed. Still though... 'Dat 3D Sega goodness!'

Just to confirm... there isn't the slightest possibility that Sega will end up releasing all the 3D classics in physical form, on one collection is there? The thought just suddenly occurred to me that at the rate they are churning them out, then this could be a possibility surely? Personally I don't mind if they stay digital but part of me could prefer it if they gave a discount during the launch week of each couple of classics allowing you to get a small discount, even though the price for them isn't that bad I suppose.

Download play, where applicable, as far as I know.

It's all about the timing, the fireball on the left usually descends quicker than the fireball on the right so you mainly keep close to the dragon while attacking it, then going left just as the left fireball goes under so you don't get hit by the right one, all the while watching out for the Dragons swinging tail. Also, go for it! I'm sure you could beat my score quite easily as I was just trying it out, if you go set a decent high-score then I'll have a go at beating it later probably.

^Awesome find there @Goafer! I managed to get the second highest score this week after just a 'quick go' on Zelda, not bad having not played it in years - I own the original - but clearly my score pales into insignificance when you see the all time high scores!

Ecco the Dolphin AND Galaxy Force II!?! Why Mr Sega... with these 3D classics you are truly spoiling us!

I does get better, but then I suppose it helps that I actually liked the game from the start and then grew to love it by the end. Maybe it was just me but I still stand behind giving the game 9/10 as it's still easily the best Sonic game in a long time. : peace: Just not as good as the Megadrive originals, obviously.

I have a feeling that @Josh64 might take you up on the offer if it's still available by when he notices it. (he reviewed the game a little while back)

Tales From Borderlands [Gearbox Software + Tell Tale Games!]
S.C.G replied to CoolFunkMan's topic in Other Consoles
Nice... I'll wait until after all the episodes have been released digitally, then all released on one disc and then I'll wait for a price drop. By then I might have time to play it all. -
I'm interested, but to what end? On a technical level this seems initially impressive but I'm still left waiting for for something about this to really 'grab me' as a game that I want to play. Certainly one to watch though based on developer history alone. : peace:

Should Sony drop out of handheld market and go 3rd party?
S.C.G replied to Andyliini's topic in General Gaming Discussion
There's plenty of room for both portable consoles in the market - 3DS & Vita - but my 3DS gets used more to play games on it hands-down :p while I use my Vita more for its extra functionality - it has a usable camera on it that's good for taking quick pics of games - and every so often, when I actually feel like playing a game on it, my Vita will actually get played but currently that's a very rare occurrence. I have a good few games that I could play on it as well but... it just doesn't happen because the 3DS quite simply is my main portable gaming system of choice. : peace: -
This is the only portable version of Sonic the Hedgehog that needs to exist... well one of a select few which I suppose should include the IOS version and playing the original game cartridge on a Sega Nomad. This 3D version is so much better though. : peace:

I know that really... :p but I couldn't resist trying it once just to see, the option is turned off now, naturally. But oh my... words cannot describe how amazing this is to me, if you had told me when I was a kid that twenty-odd years in the future you will be playing this state-of-the-art Sega Megadrive game on a portable Nintendo console; I simply would have not believed you. Playing this sacred game from my childhood, Sonic the Hedgehog in 3D is something genuinely mind-blowing to me, even more than playing any number of recent 'next-gen' games that you would care to mention. :p To put it simply... it's.. it's beautiful so you'll have to excuse me while I wipe the 'manly' tears of joy from my 3DS screen and continue to enjoy what is to me one of the best things ever created.

Which is exactly as it should be. : peace: I'm going to take this (3D)classic for a spin(dash) right now!

Well I just had 'the text' from ShopTo... my collectors edition won't be arriving until later when I'm at work, but at least it'll be waiting for me when I return. For anyone who gets the game today and has the time to play it, enjoy! : peace: It'll probably be Sunday for me before I get to sit down with my 3DS XL properly and have a real play session on it. :p

R.I.P Nelson Mandela You achieved more in your life than a lot of people will ever contemplate during theirs.

I really hope the above news turns out to be true and that we do get some more 16-bit Konami goodness quite honestly the last game I really properly enjoyed both playing and reviewing was Super Castlevania IV so actually getting more releases of similar calibre would be something of a blessing for me personally. : peace: Also I hope that Capcom get on with releasing more of the Mega Man X titles as they are always welcome of course.

I frakking love home-made mince pies... ...but it makes you realise just how awful the majority of shop-bought, mass-produced ones are.

I'll just leave this here...

ShopTo edition shipped! Will try and post pictures of it at some point. : peace:

Hell yes! I would buy Desert Strike as a downloadable title instantly though it would be nice if the visuals were spruced up a bit as well, just so long as it's done in the right way. Personally I have many happy memories of playing the 'strike' series during the nineties.
