  1. Excellent news, I remember buying the original game on the PS4, playing it on the day of release for two hours before work... and then... not playing the game ever again, I even sold it but I've always wondered about the game since, plus I picked up the second game when I bought a PS5 over a year ago, which I still haven't set up, but I intend to soon. So understandably, I'm interested in this remaster. Here's what I originally said about the game six and a half years ago... Perhaps this time, a console generation later, I'll play through the game properly, plus the DLC... and it's sequel, plus the DLC for that too. Interestingly, I've just realised that when I was buying PS5 games that I wanted to play, I bought the standard version of Horizon II without the DLC, but there is a complete version with the DLC on the disc, though it is a bit rare now, it would seem, as it was released a year ago. I wonder if another print run might happen for Horizon II Forbidden West Complete Edition now that this remaster has been announced? I know the game is £32.99 digitally, and the dlc is only £14.99 but... it would be nice to own it all on two discs. Edit - I bought the only copy of Horizon II Forbidden West Complete Edition that I could find, it comes with a steelbook case (separate from the sealed game) which also seems to be collectable, so if anyone collects steelbooks and wants the case for £40 including postage (cheapest currently on it's own is £40 plus postage) or a sealed standard edition of Horizon II (PS5) for £33 including postage (it seems to sell for £32 - £35 sealed plus postage) then let me know or PM me, otherwise I'll sell them in the shop or on eBay, but I thought I'd offer them here first.
  2. I finally decided to pre-order this last night thanks to a 20% off code which is still currently active on eBay, making it around £38 which is... a lot cheaper than on the Nintendo Store, so long as you aren't too concerned about pre-order bonuses. I believe this is the third new Switch game I've purchased this year, the other two being Another Code: Recollection and Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, both of which I've still yet to play. I'm hoping that a new Zelda game might get me back into gaming, beyond the usual multiplayer games I play each week, as I haven't really played much in terms of single-player games for a while now. This game looks to be enjoyable, fun, and clearly making the most of the engine and art style from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake, though this looks like it'll run a bit better overall, plus with the gameplay being more experimental in nature, it looks like it brings a bit of the more modern Zelda titles, into a game featuring more hand-crafted areas, hopefully combining the two styles well enough that many people will enjoy this new take on a well-worn but established action adventure template, that the series is known for. Only a few more days.

  6. Ah OK, I only just got back so I might not be in for Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, also I remember playing it the first time and the lag did kind of break the gameplay for me, I felt like I wasn't in control of Kirby for most of the game. I was glad to have played it at least once but, I'll probably leave you to it, which means there's potentially a free space for someone else to play, so I thought I'd at least mention now. Have fun, try not to kill each other too much.

  12. Capcom cheaping out again? Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection was released in 2018 on a physical Switch game card, for either the same price or cheaper than the digital version. Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection will be released in 2024 as a code in a box, for the same price or more expensive than the digital version. It gets better... Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection - game size 5157.00 MB - price £24.99 Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection - game size 3246.00 MB - price £39.99 The file size is less than the collection of SF games which came out six years ago, so it's not even because it would be too much to fit on a game card. Well, it is a decent collection, but if you really want to support physical games then either only buying the Switch version when it's heavily discounted, or just not buying it at all would probably be the best option, though it's not great to feel like you might need to not buy a collection on principle, especially if you only have a Switch and you really want to play these games, and if the game collection then doesn't do so well, Capcom would probably just cite poor sales as a reason to not bother with any more fighting game collections on the Switch. I can't see that happening, it will still sell I'm sure, but for anyone who owns a PS4 / PS5 the game is actually being sold on a physical disc at least, so this is clearly the better option for supporting physical games, though if you only own a Switch, or just want to play the Switch version, it doesn't seem like much of a choice here. Either way, let's hope that Capcom might choose to at least make one print run of the game on game card, otherwise, it's just money left on the table... it seems like an easy decision for a company which I assume wants to make some extra fight money?

  15. My personal highlight was this entire match... https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2245391048?t=00h41m32s I say match, for me it was more en exercise in breaking the bridge in Gerudo Valley as Sheik... ...then once the Song of Healing is played Me : "Let's break the bridge!" 🉑️ Everyone else : "No!" 🈲️ Me: *breaks the bridge* ㊗️ And eventually... Sheik falls through the gap where the bridge was. Everyone Else : "Oh what a shame, if only there was a bridge there!" No regrets. (Also, I've just found out how to make Japanese character symbols appear... so that's neat!) 🈴️

  19. I'd say definitely don't bin it, as it can be fixed with a new spring and contact, though it would take a little bit of doing, but assuming it comes apart easily enough, it could be fixable. If you didn't want to fix it, and were considering binning it though, I'd pay postage cost, I might even be interested in some of the other LCD games, so PM me if you like, but if you want to eBay them all, then I understand. Either way, I'm happy to offer advice if I can. Also, as it happens, I've got a similar thing to fix with a GameBoy, as it's missing a spring in the battery compartment, but I'm pretty sure it could be fixed with a replacement spring, hopefully.
