Yes basically. :p Everything else about the game looks to be reasonably solid but the name is awful... if it was me I would just change the name to Dimension Divers because it sounds better and is also more accurate going by the first video as when you change dimensions it seems like the character is swimming in the alternate world so yes, it makes sense to me at least.

I could be on for 8pm tonight. Ended up playing a bit more of the single player campaign last night, it's actually reasonably good... much better than I was expecting it to be, I love indirectly controlling the Owl so many uses!
-
I tend to just play the single player until someone sends an invite, I'm still up for playing some multiplayer I just wasn't sure if we were waiting until we had a group of three or four. : peace: I don't make a habit of jumping into public games as I dislike the often vile voice chat of the masses which generally goes with them but once I'm in party chat I don't mind, it's an old habit carried over from Xbox live... ...that and I'm just lazy I suppose. :p

Just got on my PS4 so if anyone wants to play some Killzone @Cookyman, @Daft, @drahkon then just shoot me a party chat invite. : peace:

The worst part is... ...I sort of want Nintendogs Benny to be real.

#05 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)
S.C.G replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Like @Dcubed I too only got around to playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night when I decided to purchase it on XBLA a good few years back. I wouldn't say that playing it years on coloured my opinion of it in any way either, if I could have purchased it when it came out on the original Playstation then I would have but at the time I didn't have one as I was purely Sega/Nintendo only in those days, I would say that at least aesthetically the game has barely aged at all featuring that amazing soundtrack combined with some very nicely detailed visuals. Structurally the concept is sound enough though sadly the execution is sorely lacking in places, especially when you compare it to more modern Metroidvania titles even if this game was partially responsible for bringing about the existence of such a term which is used so frequently in this modern age of gaming. In many ways it makes me appreciate some of the earlier games all the more, for me I would have to say that Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is for me one of the best games in the series but perhaps I just prefer the earlier titles in the series. Overall I would say that SotN should still be commended and absolutely deserves to be played even though it perhaps receives more praise than it deserves at times, it will still be fondly remembered as a legendary title for its time and is always enjoyable despite its flaws which only detract slightly from the overall experience. Verdict: The game which is half responsible for bringing the term Metroidvania into existence, it will always be remembered for this regardless of its age. -
I could persuade myself to play, I only turned on my PS4 for the first time in well over a month today, currently downloading Outlast and got Killzone updated earlier... seeing as I haven't played it since Cookyman introduced me to the multiplayer I wouldn't mind getting back into it. I'd be available to play probably from around 9PM GMT tomorrow night, but I don't know what time would be good for everyone else?

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be great at the job but just in case...

Do Nintendo's Game Droughts Make You Game Elsewhere?

An 8-Bit Burnout style game would be cool. (Developed by whoever remains of Criterion these days, didn't the founders go off and make another company?)

Well it turns out that in the end I kept my copy sealed, it stayed that way for well over a month... I couldn't bring myself to open it in the end so I decided to sell it instead; fortunately I got a message from the buyer who was very happy to receive it - the Deluxe Edition sold to a nice young woman who I assume has a decent amount of interest in Nintendo - so I am glad that it has gone to a good home. I also mentioned N-Europe being that we have a fantastic thread for the game and a good community so if we have any new female forum members who are fanatical/interested in Bravely Default then chances are you know who to thank/blame. :p In all seriousness though I really wanted to get into this game as it sounds fantastic, so I have now bought a standalone copy which should be with me by Monday hopefully with the intention of actually playing it soon. Regarding the demo, is it worth playing it through to the end? Or should I just abandon that and get straight into the game when it arrives? If it's worthwhile then I'll invest some time in the demo over the weekend at least. : peace:

It's possible, she did seem to be very busy with work most of the time so it's not as if we were messaging every day, part of me would like to think that things at work just got busier and she then had even less time for dating so decided to delete her account. Reality probably is, she met someone through work and decided to easier option was to just cut ties with me completely, it's just a shame that she couldn't have just sent me one last message to let me know but she doesn't really owe me anything as we barely knew each other I suppose so why would she? I must admit it does bother me a little bit but I'll just have to get over it and mentally move on, the whole experience wasn't a complete loss, it was actually her who got me back into reading again - indirectly - so I'll just take that away with me and be happy. As I said before I was actually really surprised to get any kind of response in the first place so it's not a total loss, if anything it's her loss because I would have been prepared to wait for her until she wanted to meet up, but perhaps it was just never to be... at least I tried though which is something. : peace: Anyway I'll never know for sure so I'm certainly not going to torture myself over it, was just a bit of an initial shock is all, being that I've had the day at work to think about it this is just something that I've got to chalk up to experience, move on and be happy in the knowledge that I'm a decent person, hopefully one day someone might actually see me for who I am, want to get to know me and actually let me share my life with them/vice-versa... maybe one day. Until then I'll just remain single, so Game On! :p

Do Nintendo's Game Droughts Make You Game Elsewhere?

*checks thread* ... *goes back to playing Burnout 2 on the Gamecube* -
If you died then that's where you're going wrong... ...but seriously, the way it works is rented items are taken back when you die, whereas if you have bought the item then you don't lose it, I never found this to be a problem though as so long as you're careful and make regular use of the save point outside of the dungeon then, lets just say that if you 'die' you don't have to accept having your items taken away from you and then having to trek back to your house... surely it's much easier to press the home button and reload your game losing a small amount of progress instead? : peace: While it might seem slightly inconvenient having to get back to just outside the dungeon to save I feel that I must mention that this is not the first Zelda game to 'limit' you in this way; Majora's Mask had a very similar system which this game has merely taken and adapted albeit with a slightly cruel twist regarding the rental items, but it's not insurmountable... as don't forget once you get about halfway through the dungeon you get the warp panel which will take you back to the start which streamlines things a bit. Anyway hope this helps.

I hadn't bought a new CD in ages then I literally just found out that this is out today... Can't wait to give it a listen when it arrives! Have you bought it yet @Cube? (I seem to recall you being a big Maxïmo Park fan too)

#04 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire)
S.C.G replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
@Debug Mode has summed up the games perfectly so all I will say about Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire is... This was the first Pokemon generation when I didn't 'catch 'em all!' so for all of their brilliance these games basically represent the beginning of the end regarding what the series actually meant to me. Every generation since it seems that I have ended up playing each title less and less - with perhaps a slight surge after the latest games - so while I certainly enjoy the main game, when it comes to the post-game where things are supposed to get even better I just don't see much point in carrying on. However I remember R&S post-game to be rather good, but just not as amazing as G&S was at the time, the diving element was cool though as were the newly introduced natures of Pokemon, secret bases etc so while it was a leap forward perhaps it just didn't feel like it at the time for whatever reason. Verdict: Probably the greatest Pokemon games of their time, relatively unappreciated but still a significant series milestone.
