THREE Wii U games? How will I ever cope? *remembers the relentless onslaught of Sega titles on the Wii VC when they would release them five at a time* Ah those were the days... Still I can't wait to play Super Mario Kart again, hopefully Nintendo will send us a code for that one at least seeing as it's a 'big' release.

No, if anything it will make Fusion seem a little underwhelming in comparison but when I make this statement it's literally as if I'm picking fault with something near perfect. :p Both are spectacular games in their own right but Super Metroid will always be the best 2D Metroid game in the series with Fusion following very closely behind. : peace:

Has anyone else signed up to inFamous Paper Trail yet? The site seems to be working now, you can link your PSN account to it and I gather it adds extra missions though I'm not sure at what point in the game you can access them at, there are other activities on the site too such as Conduit tests which you can gain Trophies on-site from in addition to completing the missions in-game when they are released, it all seems pretty decent. : peace: You can earn Karma too though it's not clear if that's just an on-site thing or if you gain that in-game eventually though I don't see why not... all the Paper Trail stuff should be in-game via the day 1 patch if you've installed it yet, interestingly once you've installed it if you check the update history it actually states that you get the Cole's Legacy mission in there too, so much for it being exclusive limited edition DLC. I'm glad that Sucker Punch decided to do this though as it only seems fair to include the content being that it's probably quite significant. Anyway, back to the game! : peace:

No not that Ike... but rather our very own moderator @Ike! Happy Birthday! May your day be amazing and hopefully filled with plenty of Dragon Quest and cake... ...or both combined! :p Have a great day! : peace:

After three relatively short play-sessions everything has now started to 'click' with me with regards to inFamous Second Son being 'the same but different' to its predecessors, I now feel like I'm fully able to embrace the experience and just enjoy it as a whole. Initially the overhauled control scheme threw me completely as I had been so used to gliding around in inFamous/2 by using the right shoulder button... so yes, many cinder rockets have been misfired during this transitional period. It all makes perfect sense though, gliding is now more like an extended 'double jump' being that it's assigned to the same button, turning into smoke is one of the coolest things 'ever' adding so much to the general way of play, climbing is simpler being that you no longer need to press the 'X' button quite as much; it's all just pretty slick overall... I'm loving it already. The visuals are quite simply 'unreal' as in not that they aren't believable because they are but just the fact that I've always loved Sucker Punch for going with a style that's basically what I'd label as 'augmented realism' if I had to describe it, everything looks real but better than it should... essentially what I'm saying is that if I could live in a world as designed by the developers of this game then I would given the chance because it's such a vibrant vision which just manages to constantly uplift you during your time in the city, it's pure gaming magic. : peace: I just have too much love and praise for this title already and I went into it with pretty high expectations after playing both previous games within the space of a week but I'm more than happy to say that inFamous Second Son just might be one of my favourite games not just of the moment but of all time, perhaps it's too early to say for sure but if my level of enjoyment from this title so far is anything to go by then I'd say it's a pretty safe bet. Can't wait to play this some more tomorrow!

Haha don't apologise Red that was quality of the highest order. Wow, just how can a game that broken exist? Genuinely amazing.

inFamous Second Son = Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnggghhhhhh! So good... ...that will be all.

I'm patiently waiting for my PS4 to download and install the latest update... ...so that I can install inFamous Second Son, download the update - if applicable - and then, only then mind will I be able to experience this wonderful beast of a game. 'inFamous Second Son is now 27 minutes away from being playable on my PS4' Until then... *stares at cover* It'll be worth the wait! : peace:

It's here... ...and I've got to go to work. But at least I'll be playing it later with any luck, if anyone happens to get a spare code for the DLC mission - unlikely - and/or wants to part with it - even more unlikely - then I'll pay a few pounds for the code, if not then no big deal as I'm sure they will make the mission available on PSN at a later date as it surely won't stay limited edition exclusive forever. : peace: Anyway for those who are getting to play it today with no work then enjoy! I'm just happy that my copy has arrived and that I finished inFamous 2 last night so I'm more than ready!

And my quest is complete! I've literally just finished inFamous 2... ...what an ending, I really like that the series doesn't shy away from making tough decisions because they make the games all the better for it; just brilliant, enjoyed the slight twist toward the end but I've nothing else to say apart from I've enjoyed every minute of it. inFamous Festival of Blood can wait seeing as I've discovered that it's not technically considered 'cannon' so I'll leave that to enjoy another day as I'm sure it's still very much worth playing but for now... ...my body is ready for inFamous Second Son! : peace: #GreatnessAwaits

#10 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Wii Sports)
S.C.G replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
'Is that a remote stuck in your TV screen?' 'No it's a Wii-mote actually...' [/Thread] -
I would definitely agree with you there, I've been playing it for most of the day and it's just so good! Something about it, even though I'm aiming to finish the game pretty quickly I'm still really enjoying it so even if I wasn't playing against the clock I'm pretty sure I'd be going at the same speed because I just really want to play it; going to keep playing until I pass out tonight from inFamous overdose, that's the plan anyway. This game alone was worth buying a new PS3 for, just nothing but praise for it basically.

I'm still trying to take it all in, it's pretty much all I thought about while at work today... :p well that and wanting to start inFamous 2 which I'm about to do now. As for the DLC... from what I can gather, the skins/weapons are non essential but I'm guessing the extra powers are? I'm assuming that these are powers which don't appear in the game otherwise, I don't mind paying for them being that I got the games cheap and subsequently feel kind of guilty as I really want to support Sucker Punch being that they make such amazing games, but yes I just wondering how much the dlc powers add to inFamous 2 really. Will also be on the lookup for the DLC mission for inFamous Second Son entitled 'Cole's Legacy' which is currently only available in the special edition - so annoying! - will probably end up buying the code off eBay if it pops up for a reasonable price, I mean surely they will release it generally on PSN too/afterwards despite what they say about it being limited edition, it just makes no sense otherwise as this seems to be a mission which tied together all of the games which seems quite integral to me. Oh well, on to inFamous 2! My order for Second Son has been processed so I have until Thursday to finish it, game on!

Mario's response to this... Audio :p

Whenever I see the title of this, I read it as being more instructional... 'Pokemon! Link! Battle!' A game where the Hero of Time has to face off against hordes of Pokemon that have somehow invaded Hyrule... now that's a game I'd buy.
-
inFamous Second Son is out in a week so it's totally worth it... ...unless you don't like inFamous in which case then no, don't buy a PS4 until there are more games for it. Offer your friend £320 for it and see what happens.

Well my PS3 Super Slim arrived at around 10:30am today, once I'd got everything set up and installed I started playing inFamous at around midday... it's now midnight, I'm just about contemplating stopping playing in a little bit as I feel like I've made a decent amount of progress being that I started again; I thought about being 'evil' but ended up choosing the 'good' path once again as I'd like to see the good ending first. The console itself is actually quite nice, relatively quiet plus it's a lot smaller than the Slim, a bit lighter but the best part is of course the fact that this one works and had better do for a long time. Anyway, enough about the machine... inFamous is just, to me... a really solidly enjoyable game, genuinely I can't praise it enough even though I'm well aware that it's not 'perfect' and that I've been informed that the sequel is better but I was just really pleasantly surprised to find that Sucker Punch Productions - to give them their full title - who were originally responsible for the fantastically underrated Rocket robot on wheels for the N64 - which I ended up playing during having no working PS3 - have basically crafted a game that not only has brilliant mechanics/physics along with a wonderful overall 'tone' but that also tells a great story which never takes over yet it does make you engage with the characters at some basic level because they are so... human essentially, by purposely not going for all-out realism it all feels more believable throughout. It's just a joy to see a modern developer come along in technological leaps and bounds from their very solid foundation built with Rocket on the N64, through to the Sly Cooper Trilogy on the PS2 - I've ordered the PS3 HD remaster to play through one day - then finally culminating with inFamous on the PS3 plus its sequel which has clearly been their biggest success to date, deservedly so as well I say. I just can't believe that it took me so long to actually get around to playing these wonderful titles, I'm just glad that now I'll at least have a slim - or perhaps 'super-slim' - chance of finishing inFamous/2/Festival of Blood before the sure to be spectacular inFamous Second Son is released on the PS4 in little over a week. : peace: This is a genuinely amazing time to be a gamer, I actually can't wait for the greatness which surely awaits in the rest of 2014!

Well... at least they're doing a good job on it. It's a relief to me as I thought for some reason that it was coming out a week before Mario Kart - I don't know why - but with inFamous Second Son out this month I'm more than happy anyway.
-
They're busy deleting all of the games from the eShop... ...should have only taken them five minutes. Nah, I jest but I'm sure some kind of announcement won't be far off, in the meantime though Nintendo could do a lot worse than getting a really big VC title out so at least it would give people something to play. I know we're getting Super Mario Kart soon but how about another SNES classic like Yoshi's Island... so we can remember how good the original is before realising that the latest title most likely pales into insignificance... ...yeah actually probably not the best idea. :p
-
Yeah it's a bit of a shame, but at least now that I've bitten the bullet this should hopefully be the last PS3 I'll ever have to buy, I've still got a fair few games that I want to buy/play for the system including... Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD Infamous/2/Festival of Blood Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5/2.5 Sly Cooper Collection Tales of... Symphonia/Graces/Xillia/2 The Last of Us So it's definitely worth it considering that I'll be playing it a lot over the course of this year and beyond. Plus... well, 'plus' basically I'm sure I'll be filling up a fair amount of the 500GB hard drive with all the free games. Anyway, I've deactivated all my Sony systems via the website - it's completely baffling that you can do this for all only but not just one? - my PSV has been reactivated and I'm going to do the same for my PS4 right now; all going well my shiny new PS3 will be added to the activation list tomorrow and I'll start playing inFamous again... ...I was halfway through a 'good' playthrough so I'm now tempted to play the whole game as an 'evil' run, one small silver lining perhaps?

To replace my PS3 slim which has recently died on me. I know it's a super slim with the top-loading drive but apparently they are the most reliable of all the PS3 models at the moment so... At least I'll be able to get back to playing inFamous soon.
-
My PS3 is definitely done for... ...I've ordered a new one but I can only hope that it's the last time I buy one.
-
*sigh* just fitted a brand new power supply that arrived this morning, still not starting up. Next thing on the list to replace... the Blu Ray Drive I guess? Though I suppose it could be the hard drive... so I'd best take it out and try powering on the system to see. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- much later... The best part of a day later after much testing, narrowing things down it would seem it's the motherboard. ----------------- *Update* New PS3 ordered... ...£199.85 welp! At least it comes with a 12 month replacement warranty - from ShopTo - if anything goes wrong though plus I'll have an extra 180GB to play with but still, I had hoped that I wouldn't have to shell out for another PS3 this early and I hope that now I'll never have to again. :p I just want to get back to playing inFamous... That's a point actually, I know the hard drives themselves are locked but isn't there a way that I can get a USB hard drive enclosure reader so that I could somehow at least recover my game saves by moving them to PC, then to USB drive and finally onto the new PS3?
