My wife and I have been enjoying life too much the past couple of weeks so we put on Euphoria. Man.. that's hardcore. But it's great. We aren't that far, yesterday we started episode 6 of season 1 but my wife fell asleep so I stopped it. It's a good show but very hard to watch at times.

Just started season 3 of Castlevania. It's an entertaining show, and I enjoy it. The final fights of season 2 seemed a bit too easy for the three of them but that's alright. I look forward to seeing where season 3 will go, it has already been set up nicely. I haven't played the games, though, so any game related comment goes past me - except I figured something was up with the boat on wheels comment.

Yeah, this year is stacked. It's going to be hard to find the time to do these monstrous games. What a terrible, messy trailer that is, though. I have no idea what actually happened there.

Finally got our table tops this week. They were supposed to arrive last week but were postponed for three weeks - but then suddenly turned up a week later. That was a nice surprise. Spent yesterday fastening them and by that, we are done with the kitchen - except some small adjustments, some painting and some silicone here and there. So a before and an after picture are appropriate, I guess: There's a world in difference here, I think. Of course, there is a bit of a mess in the first picture and it's completely clean in the second but apart from that the new kitchen looks a lot more lively and inviting and more open. The sink is taking up less space as well, giving more room for preparing food on the left side of it which is nice. Now we have some outdoor projects. Painting the fence, cleaning the stones outside and such. Woo.

I hope they design the new building to be at least less square. They should look at the new Lego Headquarters in Billund, Denmark, to draw some inspiration.

Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp (21st April 2023)
MindFreak replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Ah, yes. Of course. And yes, I agree, if this were a thing, more would be experiencing it. Idiot to brag about it on Twitter, police should knock on his door any moment. -
Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp (21st April 2023)

Assuming it's not piracy, could this happen if you preloaded the game when it was available and then never reconnected to the internet? -
Finally got all Waddle Dees! Doing all the bosses with no damage took some attempts but wasn't too bad - the most frustrating part was how slow it was to restart the level. Now for the post-game!
-
I'm about halfway through it but I just don't care about it. It's nicely done and all, but I just don't really enjoy it that much. I'm unsure if I will ever finish it. The theme song is superb, though. I've restarted Castlevania. Watched the first season back in 2017 when I was admitted to the hospital with my son for a month but I don't remember anything from it and I needed a show where the episodes aren't hour-long. I've never played the games but have heard good things about the last couple of seasons so I'll try to see if it's any good.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in that trailer. But yeah, very fitting release date.

Just got through the main game. It was a delight to play in general but having so many secrets on each level made them really slow to go through. Difficulty wise I was worried because my previous experience with Kirby games was that you could play them with your eyes closed. Thankfully, this wasn't the case with this and while it's not a hard game, it was quite fine. It was too hard for my 4 year old, he kept falling off the smaller parts of the stages which makes me wonder who they are aiming at with this difficulty. One thing I kind of noticed was that the boss fights were trying to be fast paced and hard but everything is just a tad slow so I almost always reacted too soon and ended up getting hit. Then I found the dodge mechanic which helped a bit. Soundtrack is truly great. Put on my new headset during a play session and it was really lovely. All in all a great game with lots of charm and things to do. I got a bit bored after playing it for more than an hour or so but it is always easy to put down and pick up again later.

Come on, we just got folders, don't expect miracles just yet! Apart from that, isn't it redundant to delete save data? Isn't that about the smallest amount of data the Switch stores? I personally keep save data and archive the software instead.

I look forward to seeing it but I think I'll wait until a few more episodes are available.

3D Zelda-like game XEL just got a new trailer - and will release this summer:
-
There is a rumour that the title will be Breath of Duality. I don't know how credible it is, but it's coming from a guy named Paul Gale. Sigh at the delay but oh well. When they announced Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for November it was almost certainly going to mean a delay for BotW2. But I had hoped for it to release this year, though spring is usually less busy, I guess.

I'm thinking Banjo Kazooie in that regard.

Oh. That's what the stars are for! I've just been wielding a copy ability so haven't been swallowing the stars but good to know.
-
I believe this is actually said in the game - they come out of the time rift.

Imp of the Sun just released on Switch, trailer: I must say I really like what I'm seeing. Might pick this up when I'm done with Kirby.
-
It's faring way better than I expected. Looking good. Hopefully I'll get my review copy tomorrow.

Yet at least. Braid has been announced to be coming to Switch but that was back in 2020. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/08/braid_is_coming_to_nintendo_switch_next_year1

I don't know if they just updated the Youtube-description for this trailer but it that date was already announced in August last year:
-
I love how they say up to 70 % off and then Bastion, which they mention in the tweet, is 80 %.

Phew. Almost done with my new kitchen now. Started Friday by tearing down the old kitchen. That took a couple of hours with the help from my father in law and my own father (who drove almost 400 km to participate!) and then we started picking up the floor we had laid. My father then started taking off the tiles from the old kitchen floor - we were really worried that it was going to be hellish to take them off but the glue wasn't strong and they came off rather easily. This meant that by Saturday afternoon, the entire wooden floor was laid down again and we could start setting up the new kitchen! We then took our time and put everything in place, assembling the cupboards and such. Really nice. Unfortunately, we had an accident and drilled into a power cord. This was just for LED spots in the cupboards, though, so we found another way to do it (using Trådfri remotes from IKEA to turn the lights on and off, which is a good solution). We also hit a bump when we found out that the cupboard we had bought to put our fridge into was too narrow for our fridge! We should of course have checked that before we bought it but well... stupidity is a strong force. Oh well, we bought a new fridge and we are therefore selling the "old" one (we bought that in september last year...). Hopefully it'll go well. I'll post some pics when we are done with the kitchen.

Yeah, got a cancellation mail the other day. As expected. I'll just buy it from my own eShop storefront in Denmark, the price difference is rather minimal.
