Yeah, the trailer lacked some climax but overall, it left me curious enough, and the music was quite fitting. Yeah, might be worth going to the cinema for!
-
Yeah, the current Switch is big enough, just get rid of the bezels around the screen and perhaps give way to some slightly bigger JoyCons or grips.

Yeah, I would have waited had I known there would be a part 3 before starting. And I would have waited had I initially known there would be a part 2 and 3.

Didn't realise Cobra Kai season 6 was a three parter. That disappoints me very much. So I am up to date with the last season and I have enjoyed it, but especially so once I started seeing the show as a live action anime. Everything makes more sense as an anime. Especially how they ended part 2, that was so much over the top that it was enjoyable.

Oooh. Found The Great Deku Tree for the equivalent of £180 as a Black Friday offer. That's really tempting...

Still looks very solid. And lol at the ending of the trailer!

I really have no idea why they make this.

The Exercise & Fitness Thread: The Struggle Is Real
MindFreak replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
Got this today. Weight is 66 kg, body fat percentage is 10.2. That's quite acceptable. Two years ago I weighed about 68 kg but can't remember my bfp at that time. I don't think it was lower at least but might have been more or less the same. -

Well, it's certainly something else than the heavy sets and the burn is rather nasty once I hit the 8-10 reps. I've read somewhere, sometime, that it is a good way to build stamina - to deload to about 80 % of the working sets and then do 12 reps. -

So my leave is now officially over and I won't have the time or energy to exercise that much anymore. I got to 90 kg in back squat for 2*5 reps - then went down to 4*5 reps at 85 kg. After that I would do 12-15 reps at 70 kg which was awful, followed by some split squats to really feel the burn. I feel quite a lot stronger and a lot more tight in general and it sucks that I probably can't maintain this level of strength in the future. -
Had my first day at work after a little more than 5 months off due to paternity leave. And whaddya know - they weren't ready for my return. My boss has known since August that I would return at about this time, and I told everybody at a department event on November 1st that I would return this week, and there is absolutely zero tasks waiting for me. I did some e-learning on GDPR to kill some time, talked to people and had lunch today, was there for 5 hours before getting home to pick up the children from day care and school. But tomorrow I'll be back at work at 9 am and don't know what to do. I was told I had to help make some changes to how our APIs work so that we can release new versions of those outside of "normal" (big) releases but our IT architect is not ready to talk about how we do that. So I'll have to take small tasks from here and there to spend the time. I find that a bit disappointing.

Awesome to get a confirmation about this. It makes it less of a consideration to upgrade to the new one.

Analysts these days. They get paid to say stuff like that?

Sonic x Shadow Generations (25th October 2024)
MindFreak replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm not surprised. The original game was very decent and adding in another story mode would have to be very bad to make the game less enjoyable. Glad it's getting good reviews. -
Seems like a new Miiverse / Miitopia with simulation elements. But yeah, not my kind of thing.

Oh, wow. Obviously. 🙄 I also found that you can disconnect a controller. But seems quite the hassle compared to just pressing + and choosing exit... -

So... How do you change the number of players in this game? I was in the Part Plaza and in the balloon and simply couldn't find any way to exit back to the menu. -

Yeah, you'd have to think more about it than that. I didn't enjoy the first two but found the remaining ones more fun. -

I must say, I found the dream dojo to be good fun. I read up on some tips for the boss battles and they add a bit more depth to the battles. Try it out. -
The Exercise & Fitness Thread: The Struggle Is Real

Yeah, definitely should vary it but I haven't got a real bench (I lie on two 20 kg plates to elevate me from the floor) which might explain my weakness. As such, I can't do incline and only have one dumbbell. I do overhead presses though, which I tend to like more, but recently I got a slight pain in my right shoulder (bursitis but not serious) so don't do that much. -

I'm nearing the end of my paternity leave now. I have been able to exercise about 4 times a week since June but took a break during July as I was away on holiday. Today I did squats, 5 sets of 5 reps at 85 kg and then 1 set of 3 reps at 90 kg. I could have wished for a little more progress but it's only recently that I actually started doing sets of 5 instead of 8. My bench hasn't really improved, though. Struggling to do 5 reps at 55 kg. I simply don't like benching so don't do it much. I've tried balancing cardio with strength during my time off. Have taken a few runs on my treadmill, 3 or 5 km, as warm up before strength (but never before squats) or 3-6 km on my rowing machine. Also did some Crossfit WODs for cardio, some home brewn and some classics like Tabata. Overall it's been great to have the time to exercise more. In a month I'll be getting a physical examination like one I got 2 years ago. Will be exciting to see if there is any difference in weight and body fat. -
That's the same for me. Glad to know that, and also had a feeling it could be related to that update as it happened Friday when I updated the console.

Dragon Quest III: HD-2D Remake - 14th November
MindFreak replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm inclined to picking this up at some point. It looks quite good and is both a modern and an old school RPG. It's also supposed to be the first DQ game chronologically speaking so that is perfect for me ad I have never played a DQ game before. However, might not have to time to play it when it's out. Might also just look into Sea of Stars instead. -
My parental app suddenly stopped updating even though my Switch is online. Has anyone experienced this?

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (26th September 2024)
MindFreak replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Even though I still miss a few things - a couple of echoes, the last stamp card, some heart pieces and a few accessories, I think I'm done with the game. I feel like I've seen the most important stuff now and 100 %-ing the game won't make me more happy with it. I had a blast with the game, especially after getting some good combat-echoes, and I think incorporating Zelda into a game with Link seems like the next logical step.
