Does it end or is it just setting up part three? I haven't watched part one yet as I heard it was more or less just half a movie and thus waited for part two to release...

SEGA admits that the game's launch was badly timed - the game sold less than expected, probably due to it launching at the same time as games in a similar genre. https://nintendoeverything.com/sonic-superstars-fell-short-of-initial-forecast-sega-points-to-competing-with-other-games-in-the-same-genre/

Yeah. That was a minimalistic reveal to say the least! I hope there's at least some nature in the game, otherwise catching Pokémon is going to be ... not so interesting - though I hope there's a live Gyarados in a fountains in the game. Also.. the title. Z-A like end to beginning, or will there be a Z-B? Not much to go by but I'm curious and I enjoyed Legends: Arceus very much (though it outstayed its welcome in the end).

Yup. I got the missing piece for Bowser but it took a few weeks. I had the same piece (but different colour) so just used that. I'm unsure if I have this piece lying around but I'll go look when I get the time.

Found LEGO Sonic Green Hill Zone cheap today, 33 % discount, and bought it. Let my son build the Robotnik part, Robotnik himself seems a bit fragile but he had fun with it. Strangely, though, it seems that there is a piece missing. That also happened with Bowser. But looking forward to building more of it. It looks fun and will be nice to have around.

Alright, I definitely feel a bit in my deltoids and my hamstrings (I think the glute bridge did it, don't do many of those). It seems that you can do the custom workouts without unlocking the moves first. That's great. I think I'll try to get another session in tomorrow evening and see how it goes.
-
Yeah, I have not unlocked enough new moves to change the combination in the adventure-part yet. But yeah, will definitely change the moves.

Got this in a bargain sale Tuesday and have tried it a couple of times now. The difficulty set itself to about 25 for me which means I have to do 25 reps of each exercise. That's a bit harsh because it takes a lot of time for each encounter, but it's nice that half of them are static holds which then turns into 12 quick attacks. Did the first boss battle Wednesday but lost as I wasn't expecting him to attack twice in one round and thus released the ab guard (which I don't feel at all) prematurely. Won the battle today, though, and then went on to do the next level. Also tried a custom workout, went for glutes and trapezius at hardcore difficulty. Got average scores of 98/100 on both without straining myself (average pulse at about 90 bpm with a couple of spikes to 140). Totally about 40 minutes. Overall it was an alright workout but I very much doubt I'll be able to feel it much tomorrow, and I don't feel like I need a bath (my wife might disagree). It was a good way to do something on a lazy Sunday night, though, but I prefer my usual go-to workout of 25 minutes of light rowing or 30 movements in 30 minutes. Next time I think I'll go through all custom workouts to see if that does something to me. I'll also try to get my wife to try it out, but she isn't really motivated by gamification.

Ah, misunderstood then! But apart from that I think the Zelda music is much, much better than Splatoon and as such it needs to be highlighted much more.

It went online a few days ago:

A reveal of Switch 2 along with a price cut on Switch would be viable and may sustain Switch sales through the year but I struggle to see how they would release enough new games for old Switch gamers to be satisfied. I have a backlog and would still buy some games even if Switch 2 was around the corner, though.

Finally almost done mapping the underground, helping me find the remaining Shrines. So will finally soon be able to finish the game! Or finish it... At least defeat the final boss. Have tried to find out which side adventures to focus on but there is just so much to do...
-
And then another chimes in, "I am Moana, too!"

Yeah, I have been looking at that Bowser car since the reveal. It looks fun. My son wants it as well, so I hope I can get it at a good price at some point.

The Exercise & Fitness Thread: The Struggle Is Real
MindFreak replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
Finally found me a proper barbell, a 15 kg one, for a decent price (about £45 used, but like new). I need some plated now but I can find those used as well if I'm lucky. I'm not in a hurry but it would be nice to get about 60 kg on the barbell. I also recently got a treadmill. My wife wanted one for getting back into running after giving birth in August. Or January 2021, I don't think she has run since my second child was born. It's not the best in the market but it is good enough for us, I think. I've only tried it for finishers (1 km at about 16 km/h) after a workout and it worked fine. So now all that's left is for me to have the energy to work out in the evening once all the children are asleep. -
Watched Scott Pilgrim Takes Off yesterday and really enjoyed it. However, I do think that you need to watch the original film or read the comics in order to really get what's so great about the new show. A part in the middle was a bit off, though. I also found some scenes with Scott to lack in the voice acting department - not enough excitement or similar. It got better again, though, so it was just a few missteps, I think. The animation was good but they added some blurring to the front and back which was especially clear in the beginning and I think it was hard to look at on a big screen. But this is nitpicking, it really felt like a good extension to the Scott Pilgrim universe.

Yeah, I did. It was a good, old-school RPG, albeit a bit linear with a bit of hand-holding at times. The time mechanic was fun enough but wasn't necessary for completing the majority of the battles and wasn't that well utilised when you boiled it down. Still a fun game with some great characters and visuals. I remember it had a lot of loading screens, which I hope they have fixed by now. It took me about 20 hours to complete.

I think I've read somewhere that they are building up the Sinister Six team with these movies. That would tie in well with some Spider-verse movie in a few years. But yeah, Madame Web looks quite meh, though the character is quite interesting. Might catch it on streaming.

I got it for review purposes. It's good fun, mostly in multiplayer, with a lot of laughs. I didn't have any problems with controls bar a single boss fight that needed me to be very accurate with lasers which took quite a few attempts. Also tried playing it with my son (6 years old) and he found it fun but a bit hard. My biggest gripe with the game is the amount of content. Yeah, sure, lots of microgames but not enough game modes to play them in. Once the story is done - which takes less than 2 hours - there really isn't much to do alone, especially if you don't care much for high scores. And with only four multiplayer modes - five if you are four players - it quickly runs out of gas.
-
There's also some real gameplay now:

I believe Netflix tries to put out content at the same time all over the world. So it's more a question of them getting the streaming rights on Europe. I hope they did.

Nintendo put out a trailer for this yesterday.

We just bought a treadmill for our garage gym. Got it Tuesday but haven't had the time to assemble it yet. My wife wanted one for training after giving birth so she wouldn't have to dress up for a really short run. She can then combine it with our waterrower and weight equipment for some effecient exercise during winter season, while staying close to our daughter. We also held my daughters baptism recently, and an electrician just finished upgrading lights in our home. So yeah, a lot of money has just been spent!

Nintendo and Sony announce Legend of Zelda live action film
MindFreak replied to Cube's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'd be okay with that, though. Maybe not high quality media (story-wise) by today's standards but entertaining and beautiful. Don't forget the Master Sword, though. That will be the item that Link will have to find to kill Ganon. Deku Tree is Gandalf. -

They should just make a new story in the Legend of Zelda-world rather than copying what the games contain. That wouldn't make any sense at all. But having the princess find the chosen one to make him help take down Ganondorf and his hoard of evil monsters, all ending in a giant battle, Link vs. Ganondorf, like the Spaceworld 2001 demo. It'll probably be inspired by the LotR-movies, setting-wise.
