  1. Oh. That's what the stars are for! I've just been wielding a copy ability so haven't been swallowing the stars but good to know.
  2. I believe this is actually said in the game - they come out of the time rift.
  3. Imp of the Sun just released on Switch, trailer: I must say I really like what I'm seeing. Might pick this up when I'm done with Kirby.
  4. It's faring way better than I expected. Looking good. Hopefully I'll get my review copy tomorrow.
  5. Yet at least. Braid has been announced to be coming to Switch but that was back in 2020. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/08/braid_is_coming_to_nintendo_switch_next_year1
  6. I don't know if they just updated the Youtube-description for this trailer but it that date was already announced in August last year:
  7. I love how they say up to 70 % off and then Bastion, which they mention in the tweet, is 80 %.
  8. Phew. Almost done with my new kitchen now. Started Friday by tearing down the old kitchen. That took a couple of hours with the help from my father in law and my own father (who drove almost 400 km to participate!) and then we started picking up the floor we had laid. My father then started taking off the tiles from the old kitchen floor - we were really worried that it was going to be hellish to take them off but the glue wasn't strong and they came off rather easily. This meant that by Saturday afternoon, the entire wooden floor was laid down again and we could start setting up the new kitchen! We then took our time and put everything in place, assembling the cupboards and such. Really nice. Unfortunately, we had an accident and drilled into a power cord. This was just for LED spots in the cupboards, though, so we found another way to do it (using Trådfri remotes from IKEA to turn the lights on and off, which is a good solution). We also hit a bump when we found out that the cupboard we had bought to put our fridge into was too narrow for our fridge! We should of course have checked that before we bought it but well... stupidity is a strong force. Oh well, we bought a new fridge and we are therefore selling the "old" one (we bought that in september last year...). Hopefully it'll go well. I'll post some pics when we are done with the kitchen.
  9. Yeah, got a cancellation mail the other day. As expected. I'll just buy it from my own eShop storefront in Denmark, the price difference is rather minimal.
  10. Paternity leave is good for my physical condition. I've had the time to actually do some weights now, last I did front squats, 5*10 reps at 60 kg which is pleasing. Bench press is at 50 kg for 10 reps. I don't have more than 60 kg though so it's hard to become stronger. Endurance is good, though. Also set a new record on the rowing machine today. Did 5732 m in 20 minutes today, up from my previous best of 5719 last year. I can't go out running at the moment because I have to stay near my son (who is the reason for my leave so that's fair enough) but found out that there's 600 m around the block which I can run in about 2:10 so I've been doing intervals - 1 run, 1 minute break, 8 times. Good for gaining speed. However, I went out on a run yesterday with my oldest son (4.5 years), he was on his bike. Worst run ever, he talked the entire time and I had to push him the entire 4.9 km! I had hoped he would speed up sometimes and push me a little but he didn't. On the contrary, he sometimes just stopped pedalling and let me push him forward. Lazy son of a .. well, no.
  11. I'm not much for playing retro games so probably won't pick this up. Played Turtles a lot in the NES back in the days, though. I didn't come very far into it but I enjoyed it being a massive Turtles fan nevertheless. I'll just get my Turtles fix from Shredder's Revenge when that comes out.
  12. I'm five episodes into Peacemaker now. This is probably some of the best super hero television I have seen. It has a really good blend of humour, interesting characters, and mystery. Can't recommend it enough. You need to watch The Suicide Squad first, though, as it pretty much spoils that movie in the first 5 minutes.
  13. I don't see any recent (as in for the past 7 or so years) examples in that list. And no game in recent time where we have already seen it. Plus, they are probably almost done printing the game, ready to ship it within the next couple of weeks. Having them stored somewhere shouldn't cost them a huge amount of money and as soon as the conflict is de escalated by the end of March, they will announce a new date for the game. (Military analysts don't expect the war to go on beyond March.) I also think that one of the reasons for this is that the war makes advertising the game really hard so instead of just sending it out without any promotion, they hold on to it.
  14. I've decided to go with the new job. It sounds like a good mix of seriousness and relaxed culture along with tasks that resemble what I'm doing now. I probably won't get a pay raise per se but my current salary includes my own contribution to pension (5.25 % of my salary) which will be removed and on top I get 21 % on top of my salary paid to my pension scheme by the new employer (11 % now). That's quite the boost! So that will give me more money on the bottom line.
  15. Yeah, that was so obvious that even I though of it!
  16. Is there a good game between those on sale? Could do with a new game and have my eyes peeled on Ender Lilies which is supposed to be a good Metroidvania. I still have Metro Last Light to play though, but the protagonist is Russian so...
  17. So you only get some challenge out of the game if you replay it? That's stupid. I don't replay games or watch movies twice because I have too much to do. I just want a game that is fun the first time I play it and playing a game that does not at least give me reason to mind what I'm doing and doesn't have a good story is just unnecessary to play.
  18. Yeah. Haven't got a mail about cancellation of my pre-order, though. On the contrary, I got a reminder email about it yesterday. Can Russians themselves still buy stuff?
  19. It really is a happy game with lots of charm. No, it's not hard but at least you have to watch out just a little this time. The missions are also a nice touch (only got 4/5 flowers on stage two and I thought I was thorough). I do wish it was sped up a little bit, though. Kirby is slow.
  20. I'm not saying games should be soul crushingly difficult all the way through but I just don't think the past Kirby games I've played have had a good balance. They were so easy that it was just not fun to play them.
  21. Oh. Misread this then: https://nintendoeverything.com/kirby-and-the-forgotten-land-demo-released-new-trailer/ I'll play it later, looking forward to it. Normally I would skip Kirby games because they are simply too easy and not interesting but this looks way better overall.
  22. The demo includes three levels and a boss fight. Also a new overview trailer: (not sure if completely new, it contains a lot of the stuff from the latest Direct but well, it's a new UK version at least.)
  23. I wonder if Nintendo could delay this title due to the recent war breaking out. I don't think they should but given the content of the games it might be relevant and make marketing quite hard.
