Ashley Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Time-limited digital game, only available until end of March 2021. 2
Dcubed Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I never knew I wanted Tetris 99 and SMB to have kinky sex... ... but I SO did! 1 1
Ike Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 This will be so hectic. Wait, do you go through the full game or just levels?

It seems the full game is there, but whether you play them all in a row until you die or not remains to be seen. That said, splitting each level up into it's own room would be weird. And if you do play the whole game, will the warp zones be allowed? I hope not. Wanna do the whole game with this nonsense going on.
drahkon Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Very interested in this. Tetris 99 was fun. Looking forward to giving this a try. Really hope demand will be high, so they stop supporting this in March next year...(unless the game sucks ass).
Will Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Looks really cool. I do get that they want this period to be a special Mario celebration but it seems crazy to limit this so much. Hopefully it does well and we see more stuff like this.
Dcubed Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Such a shame to have a great idea wasted on a game with such a short expiry date
Ronnie Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 (edited) Fantastic, another innovative and clever spin on Battle Royale. It's free to NSO subscribers right as a perk? Edited September 3, 2020 by Ronnie
RedShell Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Just now, Dcubed said: Such a shame to have a great idea wasted on a game with such a short expiry date Yeah, I’m hoping they eventually decide against that. I mean the game will have a limited run anyway (just like every online based digital only title) but at least keep it running for the entire lifespan of the Switch online services.

Dufniall Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Interesting they are coming up with their own Mario Royale after a fan-made one was taken down. I wonder if they were planning this already, or if they kind of went with the idea of the fan-made one. Anyway, looks more fun than Tetris 99, but the limited availability is weird. 1
Glen-i Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I just want to point out that very recently, I finally won a game for the first time on Tetris 99. And now SMB 35 is happening. In other words, you're welcome. (I'll defo win a game quicker here, no question) 3

Ronnie Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 It's Zelda's 35th anniversary next year, Zelda 35 launching April 2021 to replace this!

Dcubed Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I’ll gladly take The Legend of Zelda: 35 Swords. Thank you very much! 3

Julius Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 This looks really neat, smart way to follow up on the success of Tetris 99 being attached to NSO too. Not sure if I'll dabble with it for particularly long, but it looks like a good time! As for the limited release window, in this case, I have to wonder if it's tied to some performance figures they saw for Tetris 99?Maybe the number of players tailed off around the six month mark, and that's why Nintendo are planning to drop it at the end of March? I think it would be great if they just left it up to be honest, because this is almost exactly the typical argument for game preservation: a digital-only release being taken away after a limited time. Hope they at least think about it if it does well, but the limited time run lasting only until the last day of their financial year just feels grubby to me. Guess there's another game I'll be mentioning that for...
Helmsly Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 It seems to be on the eshop now. I had to go to the Nintendo Switch Online section to find it. 1
