Supergrunch Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 To be honest, I'm suprised this thread hasn't been made before (if it has, I don't remember it). I'm not going to make a poll, because they just annoy everyone. I've always found that people either love cats and hate dogs or hate cats and love dogs, with very few in between. Personally I'm a dog fan. Discuss.
Guest Jordan Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I have 2 cats and a dog, i personally prefer my cats as my dog is still in the "super bitey" stage as i like to call it.
Letty Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I only have a cat. My other one got lost, and had no tail. I like cats.
Platty Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I like both just as much but if you held a gun against my head and told me to choose i would pick a Dog. I find them to be more loyal than Cats.
Enigma Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Cats. I have two of them. I´ve never really liked dogs. Cats are more cuddly.
spirited away Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 it seems cats are becoming more popular nowdays, which is great
dabookerman Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 cats cant really protect you, where as a dog can. plus i think cats smell worse, doesnt deny that i do love both, and would own both
weeyellowbloke Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I like each of them, have a cat and two dogs. However I find in general cats are more independant, meaning you hardly ever get to see them as they're out prowling around (or whatever it is that cats do with their lives). So I would go with the good old loyal dog.
Konfucius Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I like cats better because they are independent and you don't have to look after them all the time.
AshMat Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I prefer cats, very low maintenance. Just feed and stroke, feed and stroke
Monopolyman Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Dogs. Not that I like them alot, its just that cats suck. All they ever do is eat sleep, and in the case of my mom's two, try and trip you up. They also don't eat all their food, making my garage smell, and giving me the pleasure of cleaning out their bowl almost everyday. I like dogs though. They're playful and fluffy.
kyletherobot Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 i like both, i have owned a dog before and never a cat, so it has to be dogs. also all cats look the same to me but with different colour fur, dogs come in all shapes, sizes and colours, but i may just be imagining that as i have never really paid much attention to cats. dogs for the win.
Cube Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I have 5 cats...very easy to look after. (except for the silver tabby..she breaks stuff). Although i dont mind dogs.
Stocka Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Cats are more cuddly and require less responsibility, but I feel dogs have more personality.
Bren Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Dogs , theyre just so much more fun than cats, they play when theyre puppys, guard you wen theyre adults, and act like cats wen theyre old. Wer as cats, just sit their, and bring back dead thing, BOOO!
Bluejay Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Dogs. Cats are fine when they are kittens but when they grow up they hardly spend any time indoors. Plus all cats have murderous eyes :p
Noodleman Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 this thread needs some linkage. My cat says hi. This pictures actualy old becasue at the moment shes lying on my bed but none the less.
Charlie Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Dogs because they actually do things, you actually have to look after them whereas a cat buggers off all day and then only actually sleeps in your house.
Jon Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Definantly cats, they do everything themselves and dont require walkage every 10 mins.
Shorty Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I hate cats, they're boring and the only ones I've been in contact just sit on me and dig their claws in, I'm also awkward around them. I have an awesome dog, he doesn't bite, he's never aggressive, only barks when people knock at the door - just the damn friendliest dog ever.
KKOB Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 dogs are just sooooo loverly and smart and sweet-cats would eat you if you dies and piss on in your ear!
Eenuh Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I really like both, but if I had to pick one, I think I'd go for the dog. At the moment we have four cats at home (we've had seven in total), and I have to say that I totally do not agree with the "low maintenance" stuff you're all talking about. Our cats like to make a big mess in our house (right now they're only allowed in the garage anymore, but they still manage to make an awful mess in there), pooping and peeing and puking everywhere. Also, they bring in dead animals and we have to go to the vet with them quite often because they always manage to get sick or wounded on their hunting sprees. I still love them though, I think. We've had a dog, but we had to put her to sleep like, a year and a half ago; it still hurts me very much because I miss her. She really was like a friend to me. Dogs can give you so much more love than cats do; cats only like to stay because you feed and pet them. Dogs are a lot more loyal in my opinion. And a lot of fun to play with too.
